Abstract

Abstract: Wind is air that moves and occurs due to the difference between the temperature of hot air and cold air. The results of this study should shed light on the possibilities for using wind energy to ease the current electrical energy crisis. 50 students from the class of 2021 studying physics education at the University of Jember made up the study's population. The study was carried out in October 2022, and a questionnaire with 8 questions was issued via a google form. The study's findings revealed that 82.25% of students had good awareness of how wind might be used as a source of electricity on Java Island's south coast. Students can use their current experience in the community to help the next generation establish renewable and alternative energy sourcesAbstrak: Pergerakan udara, atau angin, adalah hasil dari perbedaan suhu antara udara panas dan dingin. Studi ini harus menjelaskan potensi energi angin dan bagaimana hal itu dapat digunakan untuk meringankan krisis energi listrik saat ini. Populasi penelitian ini terdiri dari 50 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jember angkatan 2021. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2022, dan kuesioner dengan 8 pertanyaan dikeluarkan melalui google form. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa 82,25% siswa memiliki kesadaran yang baik tentang bagaimana angin dapat digunakan sebagai sumber listrik di pantai selatan Pulau Jawa. Mahasiswa dapat menggunakan keahlian yang ada di masyarakat untuk berkontribusi dalam penciptaan sumber energi terbarukan dan alternatif sebagai generasi penerus.

Abstract

In order to support educational needs, it is necessary to analyze student readiness in facing the era of society 5.0 by analyzing digital literacy. Digital literacy is a capability that needs to be analyzed before implementing digital technology-integrated learning.  Science is a subject of learning that is closely related to the development of science and technology and need to be urged for its development in the society 5.0 era. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. The subjects in this study consisted of 75 junior high school students from two schools in Jember Regency who were selected by purposive sampling. The results of the study show that 4 aspects of digital literacy, namely functional skills, effective communication, critical thinking and evaluation, and e-safety are at an advanced level. While aspects of the ability to find and select information and aspects of cultural and social understanding are at the intermediate level. Another aspect that is at the basic level is creativity and collaboration. Referring to these results, students' digital literacy in Jember Regency is already good in various aspects, although there are some aspects that still need to be improved. Digital literacy has the opportunity to facilitate the learning process in the classroom in the era of society 5.0.
