Abstract

The problem of nutrition which is currently the main focus and challenge for the Indonesian people is stunting.Stunting is a condition of malnutrition in toddlers which can cause growth failure so that the toddler does not grow and develop with its portion and low cognitive abilities. In general, the cause of stunting is usually due to lack of child nutrition for a long time, inadequate parenting from the time in the womb until the first 100 days of birth. Indonesia ranks fifth with a 36.4% percentage of stunting after India, China, Nigeria and Pakistan. With government policies, it has an influence on reducing stunting rates. However, the reduction in stunting rates in Indonesia is still far from the target. In 2012, the Indonesian government joined a nutrition improvement movement called the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) Movement. The main focus of the movement is the first 1000 days of life for toddlers with the aim of improving the lives of Indonesian children in the future.Health promotion is closely related to the media because by using the media we can provide more interesting and easily understood information. The use of media can be in the form of audiovisual and non-audiovisual media. The use of this media is also seen from being received or captured by someone through the five senses. This research was conducted using the literature review method. Articles that are used as benchmarks are articles that are relevant within the last 3 years, using Indonesian or English, original research articles, and are available as free full text that can be accessed from Google Schoolar by using the keyword program 1000 Days of First Life (HPK), promotion media.

Abstract

Stunting is an outcome of nutritional status that occurs when a child has a height or length of less than -2.0 standard deviation (SD) compared to the population average. The nutritional status of stunting is calculated by comparing the height or length according to the age of the toddler, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) z-score chart (WHO, 2018). One of the causes of stunting in toddlers is not being given exclusive breastfeeding during the first 0-6 months of age because breast milk is needed during the baby's growth period so that their nutritional needs are fulfilled. The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship between the history of exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the working area of the Dolok Masihul Health Center, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The type of research used is an observational research design with a cross-sectional study approach, where the dependent and independent variable data are observed and measured at the same time. There were 31 respondents who were parents and also stunted and non-stunted toddlers. The results of the study were obtained using chi-square tests between the variable history of exclusive breastfeeding on the incidence of stunting and the variable the first time a child was given food/drink other than breast milk on the incidence of stunting, the p value = 0.00 was then compared with the value a = 0.05 so that p value <a (0.00 <0.05)  meaning that there is a relationship between history of exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting and there is a relationship the first time a child is given food/drink other than breast milk to the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Dolok Masihul Health Center, Serdang Bedagai Regency .

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between diet and lifestyle in the Ramunia Plantation village community. This cross sectional study was followed by 100 respondents by means of purposive sampling. The results of this study found the proportion of the incidence of mild hypertension was 12%, moderate was 42% and severe was 46%. Bivariate analysis using chi square test. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between salt consumption and hypertension (p = 0.001), salted fish consumption (p = 0.000), high fat consumption (p = 0.000), smoking habits (p = 0.306), and exercise habits (p = 0.002).
