Abstract

Waqf in the Perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith: Essence and Significance at the Economic and Social LevelWaqf is a form of Islamic philanthropy that has received significant attention both in the Qur'an and Hadith. Various arguments related to waqf, both from the Qur'an and Hadith, have shown many suggestions and wisdom for waqf. Nevertheless, it is necessary to synthesize the essence of the interrelationships of the various existing propositions focused on the economic and social aspects. This article aims to review the essence of the concept of waqf from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith which is elaborated by reviewing its significance at the economic and social levels. This study uses a qualitative research method with a literature study approach. The results of this study describe the concept of waqf and its essence is reflected in several verses of the Qur'an which are the basis for waqf sharia, as well as various waqf practices by the Prophet Muhammad. and the companions recorded in the Hadith. In addition, this study also finds that with this essence, waqf has a direct contribution to individual development as a form of shadaqah jariyah, besides waqf is also an instrument of income redistribution and an instrument of development financing

Abstract

Fenomena perubahan terjadi pada masalah sosial khususnya dalam pengelolaan zakat sebagai media dakwah tentunya menghadapi ragam problematika, mengharuskan adanya langkah preventif yang dilakukan Lazisnu Karawang dalam mengedepankan langkah seruan pada suatu kebaikan dan mencegah pada suatu keburukan, yaitu nilai daripada dakwah itu sendiri. Metode penelitian adalah analisis kualitatif deskriptif, data primer diperoleh dari Lazisnu Karawang melalui wawancara yang sementara Data sekunder berupa bukti pencatatan, pembukuan, dan kumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, secara ontologis, membayar zakat pada hakikatnya melaksanakan perintah Allah serta jadi rukun Islam. Secara epistemologis, ilmu pengetahuan zakat diperoleh dari al-Qur’ an serta hadits, dan karya- karya para ulama. Secara aksiologis, ketetapan zakat ini dapat dilihat dari Lazisnu Karawang yang memiliki beberapa program penyaluran dana dari ZIS, program-program tersebut adalah: pertama NUCare, kedua NUPraneur, ketiga NUSmart, dan yang keempat NUSkill. Semua program tersebut menjadi senjata lazisnu untuk meminimalisir kemiskinan daerah Karawang. Program-program tersebut sangatlah efektif apabila dapat terealisasikan dengan baik dan berorientasi untuk kepentingan hidup. Program penuntasan kemiskinan dikemas secara modern oleh Lazisnu untuk menyerukan kebaikan kepada kelompok aghnia untuk menyalurkan sebagian hartnya sebagaimana ketetapan dalam syariat Islam untuk membantu masyarakat yang tidak mampu.

Abstract

ausing a consumptive and materialistic nature which results in environmental damage due to uncontrolled use of resources. This research aims to determine sustainable economics from the perspective of Islamic Economic Law. This article uses a descriptive qualitative method with a normative-empirical approach. This research finds strong arguments and signs that Islamic economics is very concerned with sustainable economics with a focus on optimizing resources without ignoring environmental aspects, so that economic buildings are able to provide sustainable benefits. The real form of a sustainable Islamic economic system is at least visible in sharia banking's concern for the environment.
