Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi atas kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar siswa khususnya pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui:(1) perbedaan kemampuan awal siswa;(2) kemampuan berpikir kritis yang diberikan model Snowball Throwing (3)pengaruh model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa;(4) motivasi belajar siswa setelah diberikan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji prasyarat, uji hipotesis, Effect Size dan persentase angket. Berdasarkan perhitungan:(1)uji-t data awal menunjukkan nilai sig yaitu 0,145 0,05;(2) uji- data akhir diperoleh nilai sig yaitu 0,00 0,05 ;(3)hasil uji Effect Size diperoleh nilai Cohen’s d =3,361;(4)hasil persentase angket motivasi sebesar 74%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1)tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan awal (2)kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang diberikan model Snowball Throwing lebih baik daripada konvensional;(3)pengaruh model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis tergolong sangat tinggi;(4)motivasi belajar siswa setelah diberikan model pembelajaran Snowball Throwing tergolong kriteria baik. Kata Kunci: Snowball Throwing, Berpikir Kritis dan Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

This study aims to determine; (1) whether there is an initial ability of the experimental class students with the control class; (2) whether the mathematical reasoning ability of students who were given representation discourse was better than the control class; (3) how is the influence of representation discourse on the mathematical reasoning ability of junior high school students in Serang Regency; (4) how self-confidence is the students' multi-representation discourse. This research uses an experimental type and uses pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted in the even semester of 2022 with a sample of two classes: VII B as the experimental class and VII A as the control class. Data collection techniques using tests. At the same time, the data analysis technique used t-test analysis, Effect Size, and percentage of the questionnaire. Based on the study's results, the results obtained (1) The analysis results obtained sig (2 tailed) = 0.834 and the value of sig = 0.05. Because 0.0834 > 0.05, then H0 accepts; (2) The results of the independent t-test obtained sig (2 tailed) = 0.000 and a sig value of 0.05, then H 0 rejects and H1 accepts; (3) The results of the analysis using effect size obtained Cohen's effect size value of 3.494258 where the value is classified as very high; (4) the results of the analysis of the self-confidence test obtained an average of 83.167% which is classified as high. Conclusions (1) There is no difference between the experimental class students and the control class students; (2) The mathematical reasoning ability of students who are given representation discourse is better than conventional classes; (3) the influence of representation discourse on students' mathematical reasoning abilities is classified as very high; (4) self-confidence of students who are given the representation discourse is high

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability of students. It is known based on the results of interviews that students experience difficulties when solving questions.This study aims to: 1) find out whether there are differences in the initial abilities of the experimental class and control class students at MTS Ashhabul Maimanah; 2) whether the problem solving ability of students given discovery model learning is better than the conventional model; 3) How is the effect of discovery learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in class VIII. This research is an experimental quantitative research. Data collection techniques using a problem-solving ability test which amounts to five questions in the form of a description. And the data analysis technique was carried out by normality test, homogeneity test, average difference test, and effect size test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the problem-solving ability was the average value of the experimental class 78.75 while the control class was obtained by 65 and for t_count = 3,431 > t_table = 1,685 so that was rejected and was accepted. In this study, it can be concluded that: 1) there are differences in the initial abilities of the experimental class and control class students at MTS Ashhabul Maimanah; 2) students' mathematical problem solving ability given the discovery learning model is better than the conventional learning model; 3) the effect of the use of discovery learning models on the mathematical problem solving ability of class VIII students at MTS Ashhabul Maimanah is said to be high

Abstract

Kemampuan siswa masih rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam bentuk soal cerita pada materi operasi bilangan. Gambaran berpikir siswa berdasarkan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan masalah dalam bentuk soal cerita pada materi operasi bilangan di Sekolah Dasar menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini. Melalui analisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah dapat membantu guru menemukan masalah yang dialami siswa dalam memahami konsep. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Partisipan adalah siswa kelas VI SD Labschool Bumi Siliwangi yang terdiri dari 2 rombel dengan jumlah 47 partisipan. Partisipan mengisi soal tes, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan wawancara bagi partisipan yang yang menjawab salah untuk mengkonfirmasi cara berpikir siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pemecahan masalah yaitu 1) memahami kata kunci pada soal, 2) kemampuan komputasi, 3) kemampuan konsep matematika. Melalui analisis kesalahan siswa, diharapkan guru dapat memperbaiki proses belajar mengajar selanjutnya dengan cara guru dapat menentukan konsep mana yang perlu diperkuat dan memfokuskan upaya pembelajaran pada konsep yang siswa belum memahami dengan baik.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) The significant influence of the Superitem learning model on the mathematical problem solving ability of MTSN 3 Cilegon students; 2) How is the mathematical problem solving ability of students given the Superitem learning model based on the Newman procedure. The population in this study is all grade VIII students in MTsN 3 Cilegon for the 2021/2022 academic year in the even semester consisting of 6 classes. The sample was randomly selected, namely class VIII B as the experimental class and VIII D as the control class. The hypothesis test used is the T Test to determine the average difference and the correlation test to determine the effect of variable x with variable y. The results of the hypothesis show that 1) There is a significant influence of the Superitem learning model on students' mathematical problem solving ability by 62% and 38% others are influenced by other factors; 2) Students' mathematical problem-solving skills based on Newman's procedure, there are still many students who do not do the stages of writing answers or re-checking answers. In addition, students often find it difficult when transforming problems and solving problems
