Abstract

The role of the family is very important in providing awareness regarding the prevention of COVID-19 and complying with health protocols to family members. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of online family education on changes in adaptation to new life habits (IMR) COVID-19. The design of this research is pretest and posttest with control group. This research was conducted by training health workers about the COVID-19 IMR, then health workers training 21 family members who live at home and 30 people who do not live at home. The sample size was 51 people who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool was the IMR COVID-19 questionnaire. Data collection was carried out for 8 weeks. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The results of the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed a value of p = 0.000 which indicated that there was a difference in all indicators of the COVID-19 IMR between before and after being given online education to family members who lived at home or who did not live at home. The results of the Mann-Whitney Test showed a p value of > 0.05 on all indicators of the COVID-19 IMR which indicated that there was no difference in the COVID-19 IMR between family members who lived at home and those who did not. The results of this study prove that the provision of online education carried out by health workers to families is able to increase knowledge and raise awareness of their own family members and fostered families implementing IMR to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.Keywords: education; online; adaptation of new life habits ABSTRAK Peran keluarga sangat penting memberi kesadaran terkait pencegahan COVID-19 dan mematuhi protokol kesehatan kepada anggota keluarga. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh edukasi keluarga via daring terhadap perubahan adaptasi kebiasaan hidup baru (AKB) COVID-19. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest and posttest with control group. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melatih tenaga kesehatan tentang AKB COVID-19, kemudian tenaga kesehatan melatih anggota keluarga yang tinggal serumah sebanyak 21 orang dan tidak tinggal serumah sebanyak 30 orang. Ukuran sampel adalah 51 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner AKB COVID-19. Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama 8 minggu. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test dan Mann-Whitney U Test. Hasil Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000 yang menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan  pada semua indikator AKB COVID-19 antara sebelum dan setelah diberikan edukasi via daring pada anggota keluarga yang tinggal serumah maupun yang tidak tinggal serumah. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney Test menunjukkan nilai p >0,05 pada semua indikator AKB COVID-19 yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan AKB COVID-19 antara anggota keluarga yang tinggal serumah dengan yang tidak tinggal serumah. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pemberian edukasi via daring yang dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan kepada keluarga untuk mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan menumbuhkan kesadaran anggota keluarga sendiri dan keluarga binaan  melaksanakan AKB untuk mencegah penularan Covid-19.Kata kunci: edukasi; daring; adaptasi kebiasaan hidup baru
