Abstract

Ibu merupakan orang yang paling dekat dengan anak yang memberikan pengasuhan. Ibu harus dibekali dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang cukup untuk melakukan stimulasi tumbuh kembang anak. Kualitas pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak ditentukan oleh pengasuhan keluarga terutama orang tua. Ibu sangat berperan dalam stimulasi dan deteksi dini penyimpangan perkembangan. Berdasarkan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi ibu dapat digunakan sebagai deteksi dini masalah perkembangan anak. Deteksi dini penting dalam menemukan gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang ditemukan lebih awal akan mendapatkan intervensi sangat berharga untuk mencegah kecacatan permanen. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarkat ini adalah dengan metode pendekatan, yaitu dalam bentuk sosialisasi, penyuluhan dan pelatihan terhadap mitra tentang penyuluhan tumbuh kembang balita, artinya para peserta dituntut aktif dalam mengikuti selama kegiatan berlangsung. Kompetensi yang akan dibentuk ditandai dengan indikator peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang permasalahan apa saja terkait tumbuh kembang balita serta memahami penanganan yang tepat pada tumbuh kembang balita yang meliputi pengukuran hingga deteksi dini. Pengetahuan ibu diukur dengan menggunakan menggunakan pre test sebelum kegiatan dan post test setelah diberikan pengetahuan. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan post test yang diikuti oleh 35 responden dapat dinyatakan bahwa hasil pre test tentang tingkat pengetahuan responden mengenai propram pencegahan stunting sebesar 14 responden (40%) mengerti tentang program pencegahan stunting sedangkan berdasarkan hasil post test terdapat 27 responden (77,1%) yang mengerti tentang program pencegahan stunting. Dengan adanya penyuluhan ini, para ibu di ranting Muhammadiyah Pabuwaran dapat mengidentifikasi stunting dan melakukan praktik pemantauan tumbuh kembang balita.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge regarding fruit and vegetable could result in low consumption of those food among Indonesian children. A PC game named Fruit and Veggie Story that we have developed could act as an educational means for children to learn about the importance of consuming fruit and vegetable in a pleasant way. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of Visual Novel PC Game: Fruit & Veggie Story to increase knowledge as well as fruit and vegetable consumption among school-aged children. This study was a quasi-experiment two groups with pre-post tests. 50 students from class 2A and 2B at SD Muhammadiyah Bumiayu were assigned into experiment and control groups. After playing the game daily for a week, respondents in the experiment group were measured over their knowledge using a questionnaire consisting of 10 MCQ questions. Moreover, after one week period, the students’ consumption was measured using a food recall diary. The data were presented in frequency, percentage and analysed using paired T-test and independent T-test. The results showed that the average knowledge score before the intervention was 5.76, while after the intervention it increased to 8.12. The average of fruit and vegetable consumption before the intervention was 463.20 grams and after the intervention it increased to 577.44 grams (P= 0.000). The Fruit and Veggie Story PC game is a technology innovation in education to effectively increase knowledge regarding fruit and vegetable. It is also able to encourage children to eat more of those food. Key words: PC game, fruit and vegetable consumption

Abstract

Background: One of the major health problems of the twenty-first century is chronic disease, which sometimes has the potential to get worse. Chronic diseases of concern include cardiovascular, cancer, chronic respiratory, and diabetes mellitus. The total of Diabetes Mellitus in Hospital in 2022 is 140 patients. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people with diabetes mellitus did not undergo routine treatment at the hospital, they said they were afraid to go to the hospital because they received information that the hospital was more susceptible to Covid-19, so patients were reluctant to go for routine treatment. Objective: The objective of this study is to describe the compliance of diabetes mellitus patients to undergo routine care at the Health Service Center during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This study uses quantitative research methods. The design used in this study is a cross sectional approach. The location of the research was in Ajibarang Hospital and Ajibarang Health Center. Results: This study concluded that the level of patient compliance in routine care during the Covid- 19 pandemic was in the moderate category. With an average value of the total "Yes" answer of 71%, and it falls in the 51%-80% interval. Conclusion: There is a description of the compliance of diabetes mellitus patients with routine care during the covid-19 pandemic in the high category, which is 95%.

Abstract

Because of their lowered immunity and altered skin physiology, older persons are more susceptible to contracting scabies. In addition to immune system issues, aging is accompanied by changes in skin physiology, such as atrophy of the epidermis and dermis, hyperkeratosis, a diminished ability of the skin to protect against external assaults, and a delayed healing rate. A port of entry for infections is also the dry skin of the elderly. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristic of scabies crustose patient, analyse the wound care interventions applied on patient with scabies crustose, and manage wounds in scabies crustose patients. This research was a case study is the process of assessing nursing care and analysing what interventions are given to patients for 4 days. The treatment was conducted in surgical ward, Dr. Soedirman hospital, Kebumen, Indonesia. The characteristics of the respondent in this case study is a 62-year-old woman with a diagnosis of Crustose Scabies. After treatment for 4 days, the condition of the patient's wound gradually improved, the hyperkeratotic wound on the palm of the hand which had initially thickened gradually began to thin.
