Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya material cangkang tiram daging yang selama ini tidak dimanfaatkan, sementara itu cangkang memiliki sifat mekanik yang cukup baik seperti beton sebagai pengganti. Sampai dengan saat ini, cangkang masih belum dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik sehingga dikaji penggunaannya sebagai bahan campuran pada pembuatan beton. Dengan adanya pemanfaatan limbah ini diharapkan untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh persamaan regresi dari kuat tekan beton yang menggunakan abu cangkang, cangkang yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah cangkang tiram daging (Ostreidae), diuji pada umur 28 hari dengan 3 variasi persentase penggunaan bahan cangkang dan dengan 1 variasi beton normal. Variasi persentase yang digunakan adalah variasi 0%, variasi 5%, variasi 10%, dan variasi 15%.Selain itu juga, berdasarkan persamaan regresi akan diperoleh kuatnya hubungan antar variabel yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai r square. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pelaksanaan uji tekan sampel silinder beton dengan 3 variasi faktor air semen (FAS), yaitu FAS 0,4, FAS 0,5, dan FAS 0,6. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pencatatan dan analisis data dengan melakukan analisis regresi antara hubungan persentase penggunaan cangkang dengan kuat tekan beton. Persamaan regresi yang digunakan adalah persamaan regresi eksponensial, regresi linier, regresi polinomial orde 2. Dari data pengujian, didapatkan bahwa persamaan regresi yang terbaik untuk variasi FAS 0,4, diperoleh persamaan regresi polinomial orde 2, y  =  -0,0351x2  +  0,3279x  +  25,075 dengan r² = 0,9999, untuk variasi FAS 0,5, diperoleh persamaan regresi polinomial orde 2, y  =  -0,0702x2  +  0,8062x  +  23,406 dengan r² = 0,8983, dan untuk variasi FAS 0,6, diperoleh persamaan regresi polinomial orde 2, y = -0,0404x2 + 0,4008x + 19,074 dengan nilai r² = 0,9167.

Abstract

The use of the Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) as a part of the Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) method in the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) has been a focus of international research to enhance data security. In this experiment, chi-square analysis and entropy analysis are employed to evaluate the effectiveness of applying LCG to CBC-AES compared to conventional CBC-AES. The chi-square analysis indicates the highest improvement of 15.1098 and the lowest decrease of -10.4293. This improvement reflects an enhancement in the probability distribution of encrypted data, approaching a random distribution, and indicates a reduced likelihood of statistical attacks on the encrypted data. Meanwhile, the entropy analysis shows the highest increase of 0.3562 and the lowest decrease of -0.0942. This increase suggests that data encrypted using this method becomes more difficult to predict or analyze by unauthorized parties, increasing the unpredictability of the encrypted data. The research results demonstrate a significant improvement in data security, with a 3.65% increase in chi-square analysis, indicating a more even probability distribution of data, and a 0.066% increase in entropy analysis, indicating higher unpredictability in encrypted data. These findings are promising and indicate the potential of LCG in enhancing cryptographic system security, although further research is needed for validation and optimization of this method in the context of information security.

Abstract

Most children are interested in comics so that the media has the potential to be used in the learning and teaching process at school. We have developed and implemented comic strips for learning related to disasters in the fifth-grade science subject at SD Negeri Buengcala, Aceh Besar District. The designed materials were validated by experts and the attractiveness of the comic media was measured based on class observation during teaching and learning proceses related to students’ involvement and responses through the questionnaires. Quantitaively the questionnaries were scored (1 to 4) from too bad to very interested. The experts concluded that the media are valid with unrevised criteria including the attractiveness of media and language used. Based on the questionnaires, the students also agreed that the class was very interested. Therefore, the comic strip media can be developed potentially for disaster education at elementary schools

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul “Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Matematika Pada Materi Pecahan Melalui Pendekatan PAIKEM Siswa Kelas IV SD  Negeri I Indrapuri Aceh Besar” Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam materi pecahan dengan pendekatan PAIKEM. 2) Untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dalam materi pecahan dengan pendekatan PAIKEM.3) Untuk mengetahui tingkat ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yang dicapai dengan menggunakan pendekatan PAIKEM pada materi pecahan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri I Indrapuri sebanyak 27 orang. Jenis penelitian adalah PTK dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun prosedur pengumpulan data adalah melalui tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru, dan aktivitas siswa. Sedangkan teknik analisis data, penulis menggunakan analisis persentase sesuai dengan kriteria keefektifan yang telah ditentukan. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa pada siklus I 54%, dan pada siklus II 92%, pada observasi aktivitas guru menunjukkan pada siklus I 64% dan pada siklus II 94%, pada hasil belajar siswa siklus I 56% dan pada siklus II 89%. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh 1) Pendekatan PAIKEM dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar materi pecahan pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri I Indrapuri. 2) Kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran Matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan PAIKEM selama proses belajar mengajar berlangsung dikategorikan sangat baik. Dengan demikian pendekatan PAIKEM yang dilakukan merupakan salah satu upaya mencapai ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pecahan di kelas IV SD Negeri I Indrapuri Aceh Besar.

Abstract

The use of cryptography methods in digital image processing has become a crucial focus of research in safeguarding visual information. This study analyzes the utilization of the Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) as a block scrambling tool in the image encryption process using the International Data Encryption Algorithm (IDEA). The aim of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of LCG in reducing correlation patterns among pixel blocks in encrypted images. In experiments conducted using image datasets from OpenDataset, the test results indicated a significant difference between encrypting images using regular IDEA and IDEA enhanced with LCG. The block scrambling method using LCG successfully generated encrypted images with correlation coefficient values approaching zero, signifying its effectiveness in obscuring correlation patterns among pixel blocks. Despite a decrease in Mean Squared Error (MSE) and slight degradation in the quality of the encrypted images, the evaluation results affirmed a significant improvement in the average correlation coefficient by 4.57. This indicates an enhanced security level for encrypted images against cryptanalysis leveraging correlation patterns, while considering compromises in image quality. The findings of this research affirm that utilizing LCG in block scrambling during image encryption with IDEA can produce encrypted images with higher security levels by reducing correlation patterns, albeit with a slight sacrifice in image quality. The implications of these findings might contribute to the development of security methods in digital image processing in the future

Abstract

The Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) is a generator capable of fulfilling the electrical requirements of isolated regions. PLTMH serves as an alternative means of generating electrical energy for the community. This power facility offers numerous advantages, particularly for remote areas across Indonesia. Water is a crucial energy resource due to its ability to generate electricity, a cost-effective and environmentally friendly kind of energy. The micro-hydro type PLTMH (0.5–100 kilowatts) in Aceh Province is the Lhoong PLTMH, which was built with assistance from PT. Coca-Cola in 2005. This PLTMH is located in Krueng Kala Village, Lhoong District, Aceh Besar Regency. This research aims to determine the availability of the Krueng Kala Lhoong PLTMH's flow rate and the availability of power and energy produced by the Krueng Kala Lhoong PLTMH to meet the electricity needs of Lhoong residents. It is hoped that the benefits of this research will be able to provide development and knowledge, especially in the field of pyrotechnics, and can become reference material for further study, providing information about micro hydropower plants, especially the Krueng Kala Lhoong PLTMH. The research utilizes the Pearson III Log Method to calculate maximum rainfall frequency and Fj Mock for reliable discharge calculation. The research results showed that the full rain discharge with a return period of 25 years was 1152.68 mm/hour. The total potential evapotranspiration (ET0) value occurred in March, reaching 6,649 mm/day. The mainstay discharge with a probability of 85% is Q85% = 0.24 m3/second, obtaining power of 27,914 kW and energy for a year of 20787,644 kWh. The calculation results conclude that the Krueng Kala power plant is still classified as a PLTMH, producing power below 100 kW and generating an annual energy of 20,787,644 kWh. The electricity can be distributed to Meunasah Krueng Kala Village, Baroeh Krueng Kala Village, Tunong Krueng Kala Village, and small enterprises in these three communities.

Abstract

Delta compression uses the previous block of bytes to be used as a reference in the compression process for the next blocks. This approach is increasingly ineffective due to the duplication of byte sequences in modern files. Another delta compression model uses the numerical difference approach of the sequence of bytes contained in a file. Storing the difference value will require fewer representation bits than the original value. Base + Delta is a compression model that uses delta which is obtained from the numerical differences in blocks of a fixed size. Developed with the aim of compressing memory blocks, this model uses fixed-sized blocks and does not have a special mechanism when applied to file compression in general. This study proposes a compression model by developing the concept of Base+Delta encoding which aims to be applicable to all file types. Modification and development carried out by adopting a dynamic block size using a sliding window and block header optimization on compressed and uncompressed blocks giving promising test results where almost all file formats tested can be compressed with a ratio that is not too large but consistent for all file formats where the ratio compression for all file formats obtained between 0.04 to 12.3. The developed compression model also produces compression failures in files with high uncompressed blocks where the overhead of additional uncompressed blocks of information causes files to become larger with a negative ratio obtained of -0.39 to -0.48 which is still relatively small and acceptable.
