Abstract

This community service aims to overcome the problem of malnutrition experienced by the community which is a complex problem that needs to be overcome. Because it has an impact on the incidence of stunting that occurs in children Breastfeeding is an important factor for the growth and development and health of children. Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by insufficient nutritional intake for a long time due to the provision of food that does not match nutritional needs. The problem of stunting in Indonesia is a serious threat that requires proper handling. Based on data from the Indonesian Toddler Nutrition Status Survey (SSGBI) in 2019, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 27.7%. According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2018, several factors influence the problem of stunting in infants and toddlers, namely factors from the mother and poor parenting, especially the behavior and practice of feeding children which can cause children to become stunted if they do not provide adequate nutritional intake and good.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior is a reflection of the family lifestyle that always pays attention to and maintains the health of all family members. Community service activities in this case health socialization at SD GMIT Pukdale will be held on Tuesday, 5 April 2022, starting at 08.00 WITA. As implementing staff are 4 supervisors of D-III Midwifery STIKes Maranatha Kupang. The number of students at GMIT Pukdale Elementary School who participated in the socialization was 60 people. The activity began with an opening by the principal, followed by an introduction to the implementation team of the activity. The socialization was opened by the team leader by explaining the purpose and objectives of socializing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior. Before starting, the team leader gave the questions as a pre-test to the audience. Then socialization is carried out by 1-3 speakers. Before the socialization ends, the extension team provides questions as a form of post-test. Then the activity was initiated by the supervisor of GMIT Pukdale Elementary School.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah anemia yang dialami oleh masyarakat khususnya remaja yang hingga kini masih menjadi permasalahan gizi utama. Anemia tidak hanya berdampak pada status kesehatan individu namun juga akan berdampak pada masalah gizi global lainnya seperti stunting, wasting, underweight dan berat badan lahir rendah. Prevalensi anemia di dunia berkisar 40-88% dan sebagian besar kasusnya ditemukan pada remaja puteri. Indonesia memiliki angka kejadian anemia yang terbilang cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas tahun 2018, prevalensi anemia pada remaja sebesar 32 %, artinya 3-4 dari 10 remaja menderita anemia. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Djogo, Betan dan Letor (2021) menunjukan prevalensi anemia pada remaja putri di Kota Kupang sebesar 65%. Angka tersebut tentunya lebih tinggi dibandingkan prevalensi nasional yakni 32%. Kurangnya pengetahuan dapat mempengaruhi status gizi karena terbatasnya penerapan informasi tentang gizi dan kesehatan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sehingga penting bagi tenaga kesehatan dan lembaga terkait untuk meningkatkan strategi promotif dan preventif dalam rangka mencegah terjadinya anemia pada remaja.

Abstract

Tooth decay in children become one of the biggest health problems in children. Factors that influence this disease were knowledge, and behavior factors. In terms of increasing knowledge of children's health, especially dental and oral health, counseling has a target to be able to change individual behavior for the better. While the practiced of brushing teeth was an action that needs have been taught to children so that it canbecome a good and healthy habit.Dental health counseling, and tooth brushing practices were considered effective during the new normal period as it was today. The midwifery extension team from Stikes maranatha kupang prevented tooth decay in children through health promotion activities carried out on 36 children of GMIT Pukdale Elementary School. It was hoped that these activities could been an effort to reduce the prevalence of dental caries in indonesia, especially in the kupang region of south east of nusaeasteren
