Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh penggunaan media sosial instagram terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita pada siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII Gajah Mada Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2023/2024 berjumlah 30 siswa. teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan sampling jenuh, yaitu hanya menggunakan satu kelas dimana seluruh sampel dijadikan sebagai populasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen One-Grup Pretest-Posttest Design. Untuk memperoleh data digunakan penugasan menulis teks berita di kelas VIII SMP Gajah Mada Medan. Sebelum menggunakan media sosial instagram diperoleh skor terendah 35 dan skor tertinggi 85 dengan rata-rata 55,66 dan sesudah menggunakan media sosial instagram diperoleh skor terendah 45 dan skor tertinggi 95 dengan rata-rata 70,83. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan diperoleh Thitung = 4,33 dan Ttabel = 2,045 dengan taraf signifikan 5% = 2,045 menuju Thitung > Ttabel. maka hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial instagram berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks berita kelas VIII Gajah Mada Medan. This research was conducted to determine the extent of the influence of the use of social media Instagram on students' ability to write news texts. The population in this study was all students of class VIII Gajah Mada Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 30 students. The sampling technique was carried out using saturated sampling, namely using only one class where the entire sample was used as the population. This research used a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design experimental design. To obtain data, an assignment to write news texts was used in class VIII of Gajah Mada Middle School, Medan. Before using Instagram social media, the lowest score was 35 and the highest score was 85 with an average of 55.66 and after using Instagram social media, the lowest score was 45 and the highest score was 95 with an average of 70.83. Based on the results of the calculations carried out, Tcount = 4.33 and Ttable = 2.045 with a significance level of 5% = 2.045 leading to Tcount > Ttable. then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the use of social media instagram influences the ability to write news texts for class VIII Gajah Mada Medan. Abstract

This research aims to determine "The effect of implementing differentiated learning on students' paragraph writing skills in class VII SMP NEGERI 1 PARBULUAN". This type of research is Quantitative Experimental Research with a One group Pretest and Posttest design. The population in this research is all class VII students with a total of 180 students and the sample is class VII-4 with 30 students and class VII-5 with 30 students. 30 students were determined using the Cluster Sampling Technique. The data analysis techniques used are Normality test, Homogeneity test and Hypothesis test. After conducting research on the pretest and posttest control classes, the average pretest score was 60 with a standard deviation of -1.27 and the average score on the posttest was 77.26 and a standard deviation of -3.27 from the results of the hypothetical test in the research This table "t" test was carried out at a significance level of 5% with df = N-2. df is 30 then 28. From df 28 the significance level is processed at 5% = 1.701. Based on the calculations that have been carried out, it can be seen that tcount> ttable, namely 6.76> 1.701. Thus the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected and the hypothesis is accepted so that it is stated that the application of differentiation learning has an effect on writing ability.
