Abstract

The reactive plan of the Madura railway line received a favorable response from four regents in Madura. As the plan can improve economic development and facilitate human and goods movements easily. In its development, the potential for the development of the island of Madura needs to be noticed in terms of both the economy and its infrastructure. The potential for development on the island of Madura itself is still impressed as not well developed compared to the city of Surabaya which is directly adjacent to the island of Madura. Notable in economic development is a condition of accessibility and support and complementary facilities such as the existing transport on the island of Madura. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential for the development of a railway station in Madura by reactivating the railroad. the method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis method by conducting interviews/questionnaires to the Madurese community, regulators and transportation practitioner experts. Based on the results of the analysis of the existing Madura train stations, it can be concluded that there are 7 major stations with potential for station development in Madura. The potential for the development of a railway station can increase economic, tourism and industrial value. In the development of the station area, it is also necessary to pay attention to supporting facilities and tie them well with various sectors such as tourist sites, industrial locations and trade locations.

Abstract

Transportation development is carried out with the construction of various infrastructures. In order to support the realization of safe and peaceful conditions, it is necessary to provide transportation infrastructure and facilities to support the acceleration of regional development, including underdeveloped areas and border areas. then the role of transportation is needed to bridge the gap and encourage the distribution of development results. Development of transportation infrastructure is also being carried out in West Nusa Tenggara Province, which is experiencing transportation development. It was noted that from 2016 to 2020 there were 49 infrastructure developments and developments in both the traffic and road transport sector as well as the ASDP sector. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and determine the impact of existing transportation infrastructure development in West Nusa Tenggara Province in the period 2016 to 2020 through aspects of benefits and traffic performance. The method used is quantitative by obtaining data which is then analyzed by gap analysis. The results of the study show that in the administrative aspect, the usability aspect, and the road performance aspect, it has a good impact on the community, even though in the road performance aspect there are several national roads that do not meet the network speed target.

Abstract

Sustainable areas are currently needed in the development of tourism destinations. A sustainable transportation system and the urgency of environmental sustainability are one of the main supporting aspects in achieving regional sustainability. This research aims to produce transportation modeling in support of sustainable transportation systems and the development of Low Emission Zone planning in tourism destinations. The method used in this study is a quantitative method developed through transportation modeling using the Vissim and Visum programs. The analysis was carried out on roads in the Ubud Bali Tourism Area. The results of transportation modeling show that sustainable transportation system planning can reduce the impact of tourism on the transportation sector and the environment by increasing the level of service to A and resulting in reduced air pollution as a result of implementing the Low Emission Zone area.
