Abstract

Reading is the foundation of learning. Referring to the results of initial observations with class teachers in one of the elementary schools, it turns out that there are still grade 3 students who cannot read, and do not even recognize letters at all. The method used for dyslexic students is the multisensory method. This research was conducted using a Case Study Qualitative Research Approach. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of the multisensory method to dyslexic students. The subject in this study was one of the third grade students of SDN Bantar Jati 9, Bogor City. Data collection in this study was carried out by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results showed that dyslexic students had difficulty recognizing letters. Multisensory can help dyslexic students in learning to read. The modalities in the multisensory method are based on the VAKT. Visual aspects are seen when students are asked to look at letter cards, auditory is when the teacher mentions the sound of the letters and is repeated by students, kinesthetic & tactile is when students feel the letter cards and sort letters into a word.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of data presentation. The approach used is a quasi-experimental with two groups at the State Elementary School Tunggilis. The subjects of this study were students in class IVA and IVB, which consisted of 72 students. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The result of this study indicates that there is an effect of using the problem based learning model on the learning outcomes in data Presentation material. This can be seen from the N-Gain value in the experimental class group of 63,04, while for the control class group the N-Gain value is 55,98. The completeness of learning outcomes obtained by the experimental class group is 78% while in the control class it is 63%. And the results of hypothesis testing show that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, because tcount (3,01709) > ttabel (1,99444). With this it can be concluded that the research has a better and significant effect.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of students' critical thinking skills on mathematics learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative method with a causal approach. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SDN Karadenan with a sample of 47 students from 90 students obtained using the Taro Yamane formula. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. Testing prerequisite analysis in the form of the Liliefors test and Fisher's exact test. The results showed that there was an influence between Critical Thinking Ability (X) on Mathematics Learning Outcomes (Y) statistically proven by the results of the significance test and the regression equation = - 14,4 + (0,98X). This means that for every one unit increase in the critical thinking ability variable, student learning outcomes will also increase by 0.98 units. The strength between Critical Thinking Ability (X) on Mathematics Learning Outcomes (Y) is evidenced by a correlation coefficient of (rxy) 0,97 with a determination coefficient of 0,9467. This shows that there is a significant positive influence between students' critical thinking skills on mathematics learning outcomes.
