Abstract

This research was motivated by the anxiety of students of mathematics education study program towards HOTS mathematics problems. This anxiety affected the quality of their thought processes. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the thought processes of students with anxiety feeling about HOTS math problems based on Mason's work phases, namely entry, attack, and review. This research was a qualitative descriptive research. The datas in this study were obtained from mathematics anxiety questionnaire, HOTS mathematics test and interviews. Based on the analysis of the data collected, it could be concluded that students with high levels of anxiety fulfill the phase “entry“ only on aspect “want”, the phase “attack” was only in the aspect ”try”, but did not meet the phase “review”. Students with moderate levels of anxiety met the phase “entry” at aspect “know”, “want” and “introduce”, phase “attack” on the aspect “try” and “maybe”, but did not meet the phase “review”. Students with low anxiety levels met the phase “entry” at aspect “know”, “want” and “introduce”, the phase “attack” on the aspects “try”, “maybe” and “introduce”, but also does not meet the phase “review”.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is often perceived as monotonous and challenging to comprehend. This community service aims to introduce GeoGebra as a technological transformation that can make the mathematics learning process more engaging. Through a questionnaire approach filled out by students, it was found that the majority of participants felt more interested and motivated to learn mathematics with GeoGebra. They acknowledged gaining a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and felt more confident in solving problems. Moreover, GeoGebra offers a new perspective on mathematics and encourages independent learning. In conclusion, GeoGebra holds significant potential in altering students' perceptions of mathematics, making it appear more enjoyable and understandable

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi aplikasi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pendidikan matematika dan dampaknya. Dengan metode studi literatur, peneliti menyelidiki penerapan AR dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil menunjukkan AR memperkaya pengalaman belajar dengan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan pemahaman, terutama dalam visualisasi konsep kompleks seperti geometri ruang dan grafik fungsi. AR juga meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan hasil belajar. Kemampuan AR mengonversi konsep abstrak menjadi visualisasi 3D memudahkan siswa memahami materi dari perspektif berbeda. AR juga mendukung siswa dengan kesulitan belajar, dengan menyajikan visualisasi yang memudahkan pemahaman konsep. Namun, terdapat tantangan dalam menerapkan AR, seperti kebutuhan sumber daya, pelatihan guru, dan integrasi ke kurikulum yang ada. Solusinya melibatkan pelatihan intensif bagi guru, peningkatan infrastruktur teknologi, dan riset lebih lanjut untuk materi AR khusus matematika. Sebagai kesimpulan, AR menawarkan potensi besar dalam pendidikan matematika, tetapi diperlukan kolaborasi antara peneliti, pendidik, dan praktisi untuk integrasi yang optimal.
