Abstract

The partnership pattern is one of the choices of business patterns faced by boiler breeders. This study aimed to describe and analyze the factors influencing the breeders to decide to follow the partnership pattern, calculate and compare the income of broiler farming business through partnership and independent patterns and analyze the perceptions of broiler breeders on the pattern to be applied to the next business cycle. The method used in this research was a survey method and stratified random sampling. The results of the study showed that the factors of venture capital, skills, result marketing and risk of loss, the marketing factor of the results were the most significant factors affecting the decision of farmers to follow the partnership pattern. It was found that the partnership pattern provided an average profit of Rp. 40,138,384.88 higher than the independent business pattern which was only Rp. 33,029,505.00 in one production period. When viewed in terms of Return Cost Ratio (R/C), livestock business through a partnership pattern was 1.19, lower than the R/C independent livestock business with a value of 1.20. Meanwhile, for the Food Conversion Ratio (FCR), both partnership and independent livestock businesses had the same value, namely 1.26. When viewed from the performance index, the livestock business through the partnership pattern had an IP of 4.25 greater in value when compared to the independent business pattern which was only 4.19. The breeders following the partnership pattern tended to decide to continue to follow the partnership pattern even though they had sufficient capital and skills, afforded to market their products independently, and faced their own risks. Abstract

This community service aimed to increase the understanding of the management, members and the community about the importance of the role of Pangeran Jaya Cooperative in strengthening the economy by choosing and running a business in accordance with the wants and needs of the members and the community of Ogan Komering Ilir District. The service activities were carried out at Pangeran Jaya Cooperative, Talang Pangeran Village, Teluk Gelam Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir District. The location of the study was selected purposively. The method used counseling and interactive discussions with all participants to increase their understanding on the important role of Pangeran Jaya Cooperative both as business partners and partners in meeting family needs. The study found out that during its establishment from 2015 to 2022, Pangeran Jaya Cooperative did not carry out the role and function of its cooperative business (category E/inactive), lack of knowledge and understanding of the management and members. The business run by the cooperative was not in accordance with the needs of members and the lack of accountability and transparency of the management showed that it never held an annual member meeting (RAT) resulting in the non-running of the cooperative. In an effort to revitalize the Cooperative, capacity building is needed for both cooperative institutions and human resources to increase the service capacity and develop partnership cooperation with other institutions/business entities.

Abstract

The Rice Estate Community (KEP) is formed by small-scale farmers in an overlay in an area by adhering to the principles of synergy, consolidation, togetherness, and sustainability. KEP is built in order to increase farming efficiency, income and welfare of farmers. Through KEP modern rice production systems, mechanization, best practice applications that are precise, controlled, and sustainable (sustain) can be achieved. This study aims to 1) describe the implementation of the KEP formation plan, 2) identify farmers' responses to the formation of KEP based on 3 indicators (cognitive, affective, and conative). The method used in this research is by using survey method. Sampling method with the census. The results showed that 1) In its implementation, KEP synergizes with other institutions to support the smooth running of KEP management. KEP will initially develop a rice business. After the rice business is running well, KEP can develop other businesses not only rice but also seed production business, provision of production facilities, organic fertilizer business, Alsin workshop service business, Alsin service management business (UPJA), and other side businesses. 2) Farmers' response to the KEP formation plan seen from 3 indicators, namely cognitive with an average score of 29.17 with agreed criteria, affective with an average score of 26.13 with agreed criteria, and conative with an average score of 27.10 with agreed criteria.

Abstract

Communication is very important between agricultural extension workers and farmers to provide information or solve problems in cultivating swampland. The research objective was to identify the communication process of agricultural extension workers in the utilization of pompanization. The research method used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research location was purposive in Sungai Dua Village, Banyuasin Regency, which consisted of key informants and supporting informants. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, namely reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Data validity test using source triangulation. The results showed that communicators from agricultural extension workers and communicants from combined farmer groups and farmer groups. The message conveyed by the agricultural extension workers regarding the use of pompanization in rice farming. Communication channels used are direct (interpersonal communication) and group (group communication). Communication effects in the delivery of agricultural extension workers information include cognitive effects, affective effects, and conative effects.

Abstract

Salah satu klausul yang ditawarkan dalam paket kemitraan usaha ayam broiler adalah penawaran kepada peternak mitra untuk menjual hasil panen kepada perusahaan mitra dengan harga yang sudah ditentukan didalam kontrak. Dengan adanya penawaran tersebut, peternak mitra mendapat kepastian harga jual dan pembeli untuk produk yang dihasilkannya. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tarik kontrak penjualan hasil terhadap minat peternak dalam mengikuti pola kemitraan. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja di Kecamatan Gelumbang Kabupaten Muara Enim dengan pertimbangan bahwa di lokasi penelitian mayoritas peternak ayam broiler mengikuti pola kemitraan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak berlapis (stratified random sampling). Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 24.0 dan metode statistik yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil penelitian ini adalah regresi logistik tepatnya model binomial logistik. Kepastian harga (Pr), kepastian adanya pembeli (B) dan motivasi peternak (M) merupakan variabel bebas yang diuji untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap keputusan peternak (P) untuk mengikuti pola kemitraan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa variabel-variabel tersebut memiliki pengaruh terhadap keputusan peternak untuk mengikuti pola kemitraan dengan tingkat kontribusi sebesar 32% dan 68% ditentukan oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian yang turut serta mempengaruhi keputusan peternak untuk bermitra. Variabel kepastian pembeli (B) memiliki nilai daya tarik lebih besar dibandingkan dengan variabel lainnya. Hal tersebut timbul karena peternak menghindari risiko kesulitan dalam memasarkan hasil produksi mengingat peternak cukup banyak sedangkan pasar sasaran tidak bertambah.
