Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan musik iringan tari Ampa Wayer di Kelurahan Kolongan Akembawi Kecamatan Tahuna Barat Kabupaten Sangihe. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori etnomusikologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui beberapa tahap, diantaranya: wawancara, observasi, studi kepustakaan, dokumentasi, dan pemeriksaan data. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan cara klasifikasi data dan analisis data, setelah itu melakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini adalah musik iringan tari Ampa Wayer di Kolongan Akembawi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa musik iringan tari Ampa Wayer bukan hanya berperan sebagai pengiring, tetapi musik iringan adalah partner tari yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Jumlah pemain musik iringan tari ampa wayer biasanya 10-12 orang, dan biasanya yang memainkan musik iringan tari Ampa Wayer adalah anak-anak dan orang dewasa yang sudah diatih sebelumnya.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of understanding and explaining how tempo is applied in singing choir songs that do not have tempo markings. Tempo, in this context, refers to the speed or slowness with which a musical composition is sung, either by human vocals or musical instruments. To measure the speed of a song, a tool called a Maezel Metronome is used. Tempo markings can be classified into several groups, such as very slow, not very slow, medium, fast, and very fast tempos. This study is conducted using the qualitative research method in which the data collection is carried out through library research and observation. The obtained data are then validated through the process of categorization, editing, analysis and conclusion. The validated data are analyze using he theory of tempo proposed by Perry Rumengan. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through literature study and observation. The research results show that tempo has an important role in the context of choirs. In applying tempo to Choir songs, it is necessary to pay attention to the meaning of the lyrics, the ideas conveyed, the melody and rhythm movement, the time structure, expression techniques, as well as the style and genre of the music concerned.

Abstract

This research is intended to provide an overview of the Kakula Music Playing Pattern as a Traditional Music of the Kaili Tribe of Central Sulawesi Province. Kakula is a traditional music of Kaili tribe (native tribe of Central Sulawesi. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method in which this research is carried out with data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation methods. The findings show that Kakula as the music instrument have a long history with the people of Kaili Tribe. The Kakula music have various functions for the people of Kaili Tribe. Hence, Kakula is a form of presentation of ensemble music with rhythmic patterns that are different from one another.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the musical structure of Maengket Art, a performing arts tradition in Kaweng village, Kakas sub-district, Minahasa district. Maengket art is typically performed in harvest ceremonies as a form of expression of gratitude and joy towards God for the harvest obtained by the local community. Maengket art performances generally involve many dancers and involve both male and female dancers dancing in pairs. Maengket art is divided into three main parts, namely Maowey Kamberu, Marambak, and Lalayaan. The choice of the title of this research was based on the researcher's interest in the musical structure of Maengket Art songs, especially those that take place in Kaweng village, Kakas sub-district. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The validity of the data is checked carefully, then the data is analyzed through reduction, presentation and verification processes. The results of the research show that in Kaweng village, Kakas subdistrict, Minahasa district, there is a Maengket Art group which has been established since 1968. This Maengket Art adopts Toulour literature as an integral part of their performances. Chapters of Maengket Art in Kaweng village, such as Maowey Kamberu, Marambak, and Lalayaan, depict various aspects of local community life. Maowey Kamberu expressed his gratitude for the abundant harvest, Marambak highlighted the spirit of mutual cooperation in the housewarming ceremony, while Lalayaan described the interactions between Minahasan youth in looking for a soul mate or social relationships in the past.
