Abstract

Informal article is one of authentic materials which may contain valuable informations and extensive input to develop the learners’ language proficiency. Unfortunately, most literature shows that informal articles are not widely used in Extensive Reading (henceforth ER) program. For this reason, in this micro-scale exploratory research, the writer would like to introduce the steps procedure in using informal articles in ERprogram for Indonesian EFL college learners and to investigate their perception toward the implementation of the procedure. The procedure is developed on the basis of the writer’s great interest in creating innovative way in teaching ER at Indonesian collegelevel. The procudure is then called as Reading-Writing-Speaking (RWS) cycle which comprises structured-steps. Although it has some shortcomings, the participants bestow positive perception and respectable comments toward the procedure. The proposedprocedure is expected to be an alternative pathway in teaching ER for English teachers particularly at a university level.

Abstract

Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan usulan dalam pengembangan desa wisata Padarincang berbasis ergonomi, hal ini guna memberikan keamanan dan kenyamanan bagi para wisatawan dan pengelola wisata.Metode: Penelitian ini pendekatan ergonomi berdasarkan ENASE (efektif, nyaman, aman, sehat dan efisien). Adapun sebelumnya dilakukan studi lapangan, identifikasi dan perumusan masalah, studi pustaka dan riset lapangan melalui observasi, kuesioner serta wawancara aparat pemerintah Desa Padarincang, ketua dan anggota Pokdarwis Macan Ketawa serta masyarakat umum yang berada di lokasi wisata.Implikasi: Hasil dari penelitian ini mendapatkan gambaran Desa wisata Padarincang dalam usalan pengembangan desa wisata memperhatikan sisi ergonomi guna memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman bagi wisatawan dan pengelola wisata yaitu efektif, nyaman, efisien, aman dan sehat.

Abstract

Kecamatan Mancak Provinsi Banten menjadi tempat dilaksanakannya pengabdian masyarakat, lokasinya berada di Kampung Bulakan Desa Cikedung. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu melakukan pendampingan masyarakat khususnya pada ibu-ibu rumah tangga dalam peningkatan ekonomi keluarga melalui kewirausahaan skala rumahan berbahan baku lokal daun melinjo. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu tahap awal, tahap inti dan tahap akhir. Tahap awal pelaksanaan pengabdian diawali dengan observasi dan survey ke lokasi pengabdian bersama mahasiswa KKM, pada tahap inti merancang kegiatan praktek, penyiapan bahan-bahan yang digunakan untuk praktek, praktek memasak camilan berbahan baku lokal daun melinjo, dan tahap akhir yaitu pendampingan pengemasan produk. Sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian yaitu ibu-ibu rumah tangga. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu pengetahuan masyarakat dalam penggunaan bahan baku lokal dapat meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga dan pengetahuan dalam pengemasan produk “DAMELKAN” yaitu camilan berbahan baku lokal daun meliinjo khas Bulakan. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian ini selesai, masyarakat dapat mengembangkan kewirausahan skala rumahan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga.

Abstract

Kubang Baros Tourism Village, located in Serang district, Banten province, has natural, cultural and Creative Economy tourist attractions. The existence of a tourist village requires creativity and innovation from the community to create a creative economy based on local wisdom. One of the creative economies based on local wisdom is the use of Berenuk fruit (Crescentia cujete L.), which is made into Kriya (handicrafts) and Maja fruit herbal medicine. This can open up business opportunities to improve the economic welfare of local communities. Identification of partner problems shows that a) business management, production capacity of Maja fruit crafts and herbal medicine is still low b) the appearance of the logo/brand is not attractive c) the marketing used is conventional. Solutions offered to partners: a) designing a more attractive logo/brand b) community service program providing marketing training for maja fruit crafts and herbal medicine through e-commerce. The output target of the service program is that "Sinar Harapan" craftsmen partners become economically independent communities. The community service program is implemented for 3 (three) months for partners, detailed output targets are as follows: a) Increasing the capacity of Maja handicraft and fruit herbal medicine products, b) increasing knowledge regarding product marketing strategies. The success indicator of this program is an increase knowledge and skills regarding product marketing strategies, namely e-commerce, apart from conventional sales; The work procedures in this program include: Socialization Stage, Training/mentoring Stage and Evaluation Stage.
