Abstract

Various companies want to improve product quality and process speed for customer satisfaction in the current era, including PT. X. Problems at PT. X is the number of defects that exceed the company's tolerance limit. The methodology used is a structured DMAIC method to identify the root causes of defects and resolve them. This study aimed to reduce defects in sportswear products caused by problems in the sewing process. The results showed that the problem in the sewing process was due to the process performance that still did not meet the standard process requirements, so the resulting output did not match the company's specifications. Therefore, it is necessary to design an alarm timer integrated with the sewing machine to minimize the frequency of defects in the sewing process. The design of the alarm timer uses the Reverse Engineering design method, which can minimize defects in the sewing process and increase the capability of the PT. X process.

Abstract

The tourism industry is one of the critical sectors driving regional economic development, creating jobs, and preserving cultural and natural heritage. The Rembang Regency Government is trying to design a strategy to increase various tourism potentials that support the tourism industry. Stakeholders cannot optimally manage various tourism potentials in Rembang Regency because the support system facilities still need to be improved. Potential tourism segmentation based on facility support systems (SSF) can assist the government in carrying out strategies to increase the potential of the tourism industry. The main objective of this research is to assist stakeholders in the decision-making process and generate policy advice through tourist mapping results, reducing large-scale tourism industry problems to a scale that can be understood and acted upon in successful tourism industry marketing. Methods in data collection using literature study and observation with accidental sampling to determine as many as 20 tours. The K-Means method was chosen to classify tourism potential in Rembang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The results showed three potential tourism clusters in Rembang Regency based on Support System and Facilities (SSF) covering telecommunication, power source, transportation, waste management, location, clean water source, supporting industry, spatial, hospitality, safety, and security. The results of this study can be used in designing decision-making strategies by stakeholders to improve the tourism industry. Increasing the potential of each tourist cluster by stakeholders has its advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

Inovasi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk dan layanan yang ditawarkan oleh industri pariwisata yang sangat kompetitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran inovasi dalam industri pariwisata untuk mencapai kinerja yang optimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan dengan cara melakukan studi literatur mengenai peran inovasi dalam industri pariwisata. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk dan layanan di industri pariwisata. Inovasi membantu industri pariwisata untuk mencapai kinerja yang optimal dengan menciptakan produk dan layanan yang menarik bagi pelanggan, meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, dan meningkatkan pangsa pasar. Dengan adanya inovasi, industri pariwisata dapat mencapai industri yang berkelanjutan karena akan berdampak terhadap ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan. Namun, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak perusahaan di industri pariwisata yang belum memahami sepenuhnya pentingnya inovasi dan kurang mendorong pengembangan inovasi.

Abstract

The increasing use of expedition services due to the Covid-19 pandemic has also increased various types of risks in companies. This study discusses solutions to the complexity of supply chain management in the expedition services industry due to pandemic Covid-19. This study aims to analyze the risk of security management systems based on every activity in the supply chain of an expedition company. The method used in this study is the matrix risk assessment to determine the risk ranking by multiplying the possibilities and consequence values. Descriptive analysis approaches and in-depth interviews are needed to identify the types of risks in the supply chain of PT.X. The application of risk assessment consists of five stages: development mapping of supply chains, risk identification, risk assessment, risk response development, and risk response control. The results of this study indicate that three types of extreme risks need to be handled in priorities by providing proposed mitigation, namely bad weather, road accidents, and damaged items. Risk mitigation strategies are carried out to prevent the types of extreme risks in the company.

Abstract

The environmental uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic poses severe challenges for all parts of the supply chain in the tourism industry. The focus of the Indonesian government is to improve the condition of the tourism industry, which has experienced a decline in the number of tourists due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A supply chain tourism industry framework was developed through the Support System and Facilities (SSF) variable with the aim of being able to map the actors in the tourism industry activities in an uncertain environment due to COVID-19. The method in this study uses a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and literature study. The results of this study state that there are several stages in distributing services and support systems and facilities to tourists, namely through suppliers, tour operators, tour agencies, and tourists. This finding has practical implications for the government in making a policy strategy.

Abstract

Pendidikan tinggi mengalami transformasi signifikan guna mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja yang semakin kompleks. Telkom University sebagai perguruan tinggi telah membuktikan dedikasinya dalam menyelaraskan pengetahuan akademis dengan keterampilan praktis. Dalam konteks meningkatnya permintaan ahli teknologi dan data science, mata kuliah Data Analitik di Telkom University menjadi krusial. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi performa mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Data Analitik di Telkom University menggunakan metode K-Means clustering. Identifikasi pola kinerja mahasiswa berdasarkan aspek-aspek kritis seperti critical thinking, collaborative skill, creativity and innovation, technology application, participation level, dan overall achievement. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua klaster yakni high peformance (klaster 0) dan low peformance (klaster 1). Cluster high performance menunjukkan rendahnya nilai pada X5 (pemecahan masalah kompleks) dan X11 (kemampuan berinovasi), sementara cluster low performance menunjukkan rendahnya nilai pada X7 (keaktifan kolaborasi) dan X10 (perolehan motivasi). Temuan ini dapat membantu pengembangan strategi optimal dalam meningkatkan performa pada mahasiswa.
