Abstract

This motor development is caused by several things, including habits in the limbs that allow students to be able to move places, genetics, psychological aspects, and muscle tone abnormalities or neuromuscular diseases. This research was a quasi-experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample was 15 students. The results of the study found that the majority of children in the preschool age group before being given the Meronce Educational Game was in the category of starting to develop as many as 7 respondents (46.7%). The fine motor development of students after being given the Meronce Educational Game was mostly in the category as expected as many as 8 respondents (53.3%). There is an effect of Meronce's Educational Game on Fine Motor Development of students, the significance value is = 0.000 where 0.05. It is hoped that studets will improve their fine motor development through books and other information.Keywords : Meronce, Educational Game, Motor Development

Abstract

PRAAT can easily and rapidly improve the students’ ability in pronouncing monophthongs in phonetics class. The effectiveness of this software can help the students acquire quality monophthongs sounds. Furthermore, this software could reduce the problem of students learning sounds of monophthongs accurately such as the accuracy of F1 and F2 that is contained in monophthongs. It provided many programs on how to record, analyze, measure, and save in the wave file. This research aimed to investigate  to what extent this software affects teaching monophthongs sounds in phonetics class for students. This research was conducted with 40 samples of students. They divided the class into 20 students for the control group and another 20 students for the experimental group. This quasi-experimental was to determine the best treatment before and  after giving the treatment by using CALL for the experimental group and NON-CALL for the control group. Before using the software,  the students were given the pre-test . Finally, they  sat for post- test in the last meeting. The result was exposed through analysis of a t-test. It showed a significant difference in learning through PRAAT software (p<.05). In addition to that, teaching vowels sounds proved to be more successful using PRAAT than the traditional method.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the form and impact of using code switching and code mixing on SMPN 1 Peukan Pidie students through the bilingual teaching classroom approach. The method used is qualitative method. The data source is the teacher at SMPN 1 Peukan Pidie. The data in this study are code switching and code mixing. Data collection techniques using observation, interview and recording techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are, (1) looking back at the results of observations and looking back at the results of interviews that have been conducted, (2) playing back the recording results, (3) identifying formulating, classifying, and describing usage data. The results of this study can be concluded that SMPN 1 Peukan Pidie school applies a bilingual teaching classroom approach. Here the teacher uses local language as the bilingual foundation. The impact of using code switching and code mixing on students of SMPN 1 Peukan Pidie through the bilingual teaching classroom approach is that it makes it easier for students to understand the material, shows self-identity, can change the atmosphere to be relaxed and become closer to students both in class and outside the classroom.

Abstract

Pronunciation is one of the most important aspects for learners in studying English. Today, pronunciation tends to be neglected by instructors in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classes, especially for vowel sounds. Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) is one of the alternative methods in enhancing students’ ability in pronunciation. PRAAT is software used to measure the quality of students’ pronunciation. They were able to enhance their pronunciation practice by using the visual spectrogram. The purpose of this research was to determine the efficacy of employing CALL in pronunciation classes. The numbers of students in this research were 30 Acehnese EFL students. The methodology was quantitative through experimental research. A Word list was used as an instrument to obtain data from the learners. Based on the results, there was a significant improvement after the learning process. The learners had difficulty with five significant mistake sounds: [e], [ei], [i], [e], [e]. They recognized these sounds as monophthongs. This inaccuracy was caused by unfamiliarity with English diphthongs, because these sounds did not found in L1 and L2. After a few repetitions, the students began to use more diphthongal and higher F1 and F2 sounds. Hence, it can be concluded that the CALL had a positive impact in enhancing the student’s ability in pronunciation.

Abstract

Gizi kurang merupakan suatu kondisi berat badan menurut umur (BB/U) yang tidak sesuai dengan usia yang seharusnya. Kondisi balita gizi kurang akan rentan terjadi pada balita usia 2-5 tahun karena balita sudah menerapkan pola makan seperti makanan keluarga dengan tingkat aktivitas fisik yang tinggi. Gizi kurang secara cepat harus segera ditangani, apabila tidak segera ditangani akan menjadi masalah baru yaitu menambah prevalensi gizi buruk di suatu wilayah. Skrining gizi dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi responden yang berisiko, tidak berisiko malnutrisi atau kondisi khusus. Bila hasil skrining gizi menunjukkan responden berisiko malnutrisi, maka dilakukan pengkajian/assesment gizi dan dilanjutkan denganlangkah-langkah proses asuhan gizi terstandar oleh ahli gizi/dietisien. Dengan adanya diadakan pengabdian masyarkat terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan bagi penduduk Mesjid Bungie
