Abstract

The use of GeoGebra Software in mathematics learning is the application of ICT-based learning that can be done in schools. This is done to make learning interactive. This study aims to determine and analyze trends in article writing with the theme of using GeoGebra software in mathematics learning between 2017-2022, articles, countries of origin, authors, and institutions that have the most citations and link strengths using databases. dimensions. The method used is bibliometric analysis. The sample used is 180 articles that were searched using the database dimensions according to the specified keywords. The data is stored in CSV format to be used in the VOSviewer software to obtain a mapping in search of publication trends. The trend of writing articles with the theme of using GeoGebra software experienced a significant increase between 2017 and 2021 by 279%. Analysis based on software VOSviewer has 5 themes related to the use of GeoGebra software in mathematics learning, namely: “control group”¸“concept”, “medium”, “subject”, “analysis”, and “ article” which is still rarely researched and is a theme in the renewal of research. This theme is used as reference material for further research.

Abstract

Critical thinking involves being mentally organized and participating in a judgmental process to solve problems. The purpose of this study is to look at the focus of research related to critical thinking of pre-service teacher teachers of mathematics education, especially in Indonesia from 2015 to 2023. The method used in this study is a descriptive bibliometric analysis method. The Scopus database is used to obtain the necessary data. The results of the research show that publications related to the critical thinking of pre-service teacher teachers of mathematics education in Indonesia have increased from 2018 to 2020. Most of the publications were published in conference papers and some were in Q2 journals. The research focus is divided into 4 sections, namely, 1) mathematics teacher , mathematical problems , algebra , and qualitative research ; 2) critical thinking skills , mathematics education , and learning systems ; 3) problem based learning and STEM; 4) data analysis techniques, information analysis. The material that is the focus of research is algebra. New themes for this field are experimental research, digital platforms, quantitative methods, and group theory. The keywords of critical thinking skills are not directly connected with these new themes

Abstract

Abstract: Learning Obstacles Hindering Junior High School Students Understanding of Surface Area of a Prism. Objectives: to reveal the learning obstacles experienced by students in learning the surface area of prisms. Methods: using a qualitative method with a phenomenological design on grade IX junior high school students in Bandung as many as 29 students. Data were analyzed with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings: The results showed that students did not understand the prerequisite materials needed to understand the concept of prism surface areas such as the area of flat buildings and the Pythagorean theorem. Teachers also do not familiarize students with practicing non-routine problems so as not to spur students to form their knowledge acquisition maximally. Conclusions: students experience learning obstacles that are ontogenic, didactic, and epistemological in solving mathematical problems regarding the concept of prism surface area. The implications of this research can be utilized by educators, prospective educators, or researchers in the future to provide solutions to student learning obstacles in understanding the concept of prism surface area. Keywords: concept of prism surface area, geometry, mathematics, learning obstacles. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i1.202413
