Abstract

This research was conducted on the existence of problems in the form of low creative thinking skills and students' self-efficacy in learning. One way that can be done to solve this problem is by utilizing teaching materials in the form of modules that students can use for independent learning. Therefore, this research was conducted to develop science learning modules to improve the creative thinking skills and self-efficacy of class VIII students of junior high school. This type of research is Educational Design Research (EDR) using the Tessmer development model. The final result of the validation average is 3.49, which is in the very valid category. Therefore, based on the research results, the science learning module has been declared very valid to improve students' creative thinking skills and self-efficacy in learning science

Abstract

Research on the development of learning media for Android-Based Interactive E- modules on colloidal material aims to produce valid, practical and effective learning media. The floating model used is a 4D development model. The trial of the learning media developed was carried out on students of SMAN 1 Kotabaru for the 2020/2021 academic year. The trials carried out were individual trials, small group trials and limited trials. Data collection techniques used validation sheets, readability questionnaires, response questionnaires and test assessments. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. The results showed that the developed media had met the following criteria: (1) Valid, based on a feasibility test by a group of experts with an average of 91.66% (very valid); (2) Practical, based on individual, group readability tests, as well as student and teacher response questionnaires with successive scores of 3.30 (very good); 3.40 (very good); 3.34 (very good) and 3.70 (very good); (3) Effective, based on the results of a limited trial, it can be seen from the average n-gain score of 0.73 (high). Overall, the e-module developed is able to improve students' conceptual understanding skills and as a form of renewal in chemistry learning

Abstract

Abstract: Improving Students Self-Efficacy in Studying Salt Hydrolysis Using the SCCrT Model. Objectives: This study aims to determine the differences in the Self-Efficacy of students who learn to use the SCCrT (Scientific Critical Creative Thinking) model with the DI (Direct Instruction) model. Methods: This research is an experimental study of quasi-experimental design with a sample of 69 people consisting of 2 classes with data collection techniques using a questionnaire consisting of 15 statements using four aspects of self-efficacy. Data analysis was descriptive quantitative, and quantitative inferential with SPSS version 25. Findings:  The application of the SCCrT model affects students self-efficacy acquisition, which is characterized by differences in the self-efficacy results with classes that apply the DI model with an average significance value of 0.00. Conclusion: There are differences in students self-efficacy between classes that study with the SCCrT model and courses that use the DI model. The SCCrT model performed better than the DI model in the average category, and the DI model performed well in the salt hydrolysis material category. Keywords: self-efficacy, salt hydrolysis, SCCrT model. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i2.202322
