Abstract

The importance of character building for elementary school students encourages teachers to innovate in realizing character education. The focus of this research is to analyze the character values ​​contained in children's songs. As one of the teacher's efforts to shape the character of elementary school students through habituation. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach to achieve research focus. The object of this research is a children's song with the title: nenek moyangku, mars hidup sehat, and bintang kecil. Each research object was analyzed to find the character values ​​contained in the song implicitly to be conveyed to children. With the hope that conveying character values ​​in children's songs on a regular basis can provide an understanding of what is good and what is not good for elementary school students to do. The analysis of the research results shows that the character values ​​obtained include: honesty, hard work, responsibility, self-confidence, independence, cooperation, caring, mutual cooperation, and nationalism.

Abstract

Communication skills must be mastered by the teacher as a form of pedagogical competence. Through the communication skills possessed by the teacher, it is hoped that it can foster students' learning motivation to be active in learning so that they can improve their learning achievements. To create effective communication in learning, teachers must have a communication strategy. Communication strategy is a communication technique that is planned and used by the teacher in conveying learning material to students so that they are passionate about learning, want to ask questions of the teacher, and want to give opinions. This research focuses on knowing various teacher communication strategies in learning based on relevant research results. The results of this research study obtained several teacher communication strategies such as the use of verbal and non-verbal communication to carry out learning, creating two-way communication with students with the equalitarian style of communication, using communication media in the learning process, and giving rewards and punishments to participants. educate on the learning process. The results of this research study are expected to be a stimulus for teachers to determine communication strategies in learning as one of the teacher's efforts to create active and fun learning.

Abstract

The teacher as a facilitator in learning must master communication styles in guiding and teaching students. One of the communication styles that can be mastered by the teacher is the equalitarian style. Through this style of communication the teacher is expected to be able to shape the character of students in the learning process. Communication style is needed by the teacher to communicate with students as an effort to form the character of the students themselves. The formulation of the problem in this research is why the equalitarian style of communication is important to be mastered by teachers in the learning process in order to shape the character of students. The focus of this research is to find out the reasons for the importance of mastering the teacher's communication style with the equalitarian style in building the character of students in the learning process in elementary schools. The theory used in this research is The Equalitarian Style theory of communication style. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a literature review approach. The results of this research study are expected to be a stimulus for elementary school teachers in creating effective communication with students through the equalitarian style of communication.

Abstract

Questioning skills is a skill that needs to be mastered by students at the elementary school level. Asking skills will encourage students to think in learning. Through asking questions can help students to master the concepts and facts in science learning. The focus of this research is to map students' questioning skills in science learning for heat material. The mapping of students' questioning skills is a form of analysis which is a form of preliminary study. The results of the analysis obtained 19 students who were less skilled in asking questions, 4 students who were quite skilled in asking questions, and 2 students who were skilled in asking questions. Thus, the teacher's efforts are still needed to facilitate students' questioning skills, for example by using the inquiry approach and contextual approach, applying the snowball throwing learning model and the debate learning model. The results of this study become an analysis of students' learning readiness for teachers to design learning according to children's learning styles.

Abstract

Keterampilan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran adalah kompetensi pedagogik.Undang-undang guru dan dosen menyebutkan kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru adalah: 1) kompetensi pedagogik, 2) kompetensi kepribadian, 3) kompetensi sosial, 4) kompetensi profesional. Tugas pokok guru adalah merancang pembelajaran, melaksanakan pembelajaran, dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran sebagai upaya membentuk kompentensi pedagogik guru. Dengan demikian guru harus memiliki berbagai keterampilan dalam mengajar salah satunya adalah keterampilan mengelola pembelajaran baik di kelas maupun di luar kelas. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya keterampilan mengelola pembelajaran yang menyenangkan oleh guru sekolah dasar dalam membentuk karakter Peserta didik sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini memaparkan tentang startegi yang dapat digunakan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang menyenangkan sehingga dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru sekolah dasar harus terampil dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang menyenangkan untuk membentuk karakter peserta didik demi meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia.
