Abstract

Background: Covid-19 cases increase, the government has also made various efforts by working, studying, and worshiping from home as an effort to stop the spread of the corona virus. Elementary school is the main target in implementing healthy living. Schools have an important role in educating students about health and hygiene behaviors. In addition, during the covid-19 pandemic, washing hands with soap at school, wearing masks is very important to prevent the transmission of covid-19. In addition, children spend a very long time (about 7 hours a day) at school and many objects in school become disease transmission because they are used together. Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge about preventing the transmission of covid-19 such as the use of masks, cough/sneeze etiquette and hand washing with soap. Methods: The method used in this activity is a lecture method and a simulation of health protocols in the form of washing hands, how to use and remove masks correctly and demonstrate good coughing and sneezing etiquette. Results: The results of the pre and post tests showed that 27 students could answer 6 (22 percent), how to prevent covid-19 3 (11 percent), how to use and remove masks 9 (33 percent), how to cough etiquette. and sneezing 3 (11 percent), how to wash hands with soap properly and correctly 4 (15 percent) while for the post test given to students after being given education, students who can answer as many questions as how to prevent covid-19 are 15 (56 percent), how to prevent covid-19 14 (52 percent), how to use and remove masks 27 (100 percent), how to cough and sneeze etiquette 27 (100 percent), how to wash hands with soap properly and correctly 25 (93 percent). Conclusion: It can be said that there was an increase in students knowledge regarding COVID-19, the use of masks, coughing/sneezing etiquette and washing hands with soap.   Pendahuluan: Sejalan dengan semakin meningkatnya kasus covid-19 maka pemerintah telah melakukan berbagai upaya dengan memberlakukan bekerja, belajar, dan beribadah dari rumah sebagai upaya memutus penyebaran virus corona. Sekolah dasar adalah sasaran utama dalam implementasi hidup sehat. Sekolah memiliki peran penting dalam mendidik siswa mengenai perilaku kesehatan dan kebersihan. Selain itu selama masa pandemi covid-19, cuci tangan pakai sabun di sekolah, penggunaan masker menjadi sangat penting dilakukan guna mencegah penularan covid-19. Selain itu, anak-anak menghabiskan waktu yang sangat panjang (sekitar 7 jam sehari) di sekolah dan banyak benda-benda di sekolah yang menjadi penularan penyakit dikarenakan dipakai bersama-sama. Tujuan: Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan berkaitan pencegahan penularan covid-19 seperti penggunaan masker, etika batuk/bersin dan Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS). Metode: Pada kegiatan ini di gunakan metode ceramah dan simulasi protokol kesehatan berupa cara cuci tangan, cara menggunakan serta melepas masker yang benar dan memperagakan etika batuk dan bersin yang baik. Hasil : Dari pre test menunjukan dari 27 siswa siswi dapat menjawab pertanyaan cara penularan covid-19 sebanyak 6 (22 persen), cara pencegahan covid-19 3 (11 persen), cara menggunakan dan melepas masker 9 (33 persen), cara etika batuk dan bersin 3 (11 persen), cara cuci tangan pakai sabun yang baik dan benar 4 (15 persen). Sedangkan untuk post test yang diberikan kepada siswa siswi setelah diberikan edukasi, siswa siswi yang dapat menjawab pertanyaan cara penularan covid-19 sebanyak 15 (56 persen), cara pencegahan covid-19 14 (52 persen), cara menggunakan dan melepas masker 27 (100 persen), cara etika batuk dan bersin 27 (100 persen), cara cuci tangan pakai sabun yang baik dan benar 25 (93 persen). Simpulan : Dari kegiatan ini dapat di ketahui  bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan siswa-siswi berkaitan tentang covid-19,  penggunaan masker, etika batuk/ bersin dan cuci tangan pakai sabun.
