Abstract

Electrical energy is an important factor to support people's lives. Electrical energy from the generator is channeled through a transmission line to the substation. Transformer (transformer) is a very important equipment in the electric power system. Inside there is oil which functions as an insulating medium and also as a cooling medium. This electrical and thermal load can cause dissolved gases in the transformer oil. This DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis) test aims to determine the content of dissolved gases in transformer oil and then to analyze using three fault indication methods Total Dissolved Combustible Gas (TDCG) Method, Roger Ratio, and Duval Triangle. Results The analysis uses these three methods to determine corrective actions according to the condition of the transformer oil. Corrective action to return the dissolved gases in the transformer oil back to normal. Transformer oil filtering aims to remove or reduce potentially damaging gases from the transformer oil content. On December 29, 2020 the transformer experienced an increase in the content of flammable hydrogen gas and acetylene gas, the TDCG value was 1520 ppm and after corrective action the dissolved gas content decreased to 481 ppm, so that the condition of the transformer oil returned to normal.

Abstract

The Kwh Meter Automatic Meter Reading (Kwh Meter AMR) system is a system for recording electricity meters that is carried out automatically and remotely. Data communication sent by the AMR kWH meter at PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Indramayu uses an AMR modem as an electronic kWH meter interfacing with a wireless telecommunications network. The AMR kWh meter has a feature that besides recording the use of electrical energy used, it also records voltage, electric current, power factor, and the recording time of the customer's electricity usage meter is faster. PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Indramayu can carry out distribution network management which makes it easier in terms of distributing energy to customers and monitoring the use of electrical energy by customers. In operating the kWh meter AMR system can reduce losses caused by abnormal use of electrical energy by customers. These abnormalities include incorrect Wiring, errors in wiring on the Kwh Meter, Unbalance Current, unbalanced electricity usage by customers, Blank Kwh and AMR modem hangs/damages so that the communication signal is unstable and fails to retrieve data on electricity consumption by customers. To overcome these abnormalities, a check is carried out on the customer according to the findings of abnormal deviations in the AMR application. The use of unmeasured electrical energy during the Kwh Blank abnormality is 4,619 kWh with a total follow-up billing fee of Rp. 6,936,537.-. The results of the abnormality category of Incorrect Wiring were carried out by normalizing wiring errors in the Kwh Meter phase S and Phase T. The results of the Unbalance Current abnormality category, the electricity consumption at the customer at that time was not balanced, that is, the T phase was not used by the customer. The results of the AMR Modem abnormality category are replaced by the AMR Modem so that the customer's electricity consumption is again disabled in the AMR application.

Abstract

Cricket drying is an important process in the production of animal feed and the rearing of certain animals. Dried crickets have a longer shelf life, more stable nutritional content, and a lower risk of contamination. Therefore, the use of an efficient and controlled cricket dryer is important to achieve optimal results. The main objective of the design of a cricket dryer with PID control is to create a system that can adjust the drying temperature automatically. With this control system, it is expected to be able to overcome the problem of the drying process which is constrained by weather factors. The PID controller (from the English abbreviation: Proportional–Integral–Derivative controller) is a feedback mechanism controller that is usually used in industrial control systems. The control system is an inseparable part of processes in the field of industrial engineering, because with the help of control systems, desired results can be realized. The control system is needed to improve the response of the dynamic system so that the output signal is obtained as desired. A good control system has a good response to various input signals. Tools made with this system can dry raw materials with low moisture content, so that the dried raw materials can be directly processed into other forms, and the production process is not hampered by a shortage of raw materials. This tool is capable of producing temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius. A timer relay is also included to regulate the length of the drying process so that quality raw materials are obtained.

Abstract

Perfume oils have become a popular consumer product worldwide. The use of perfume oil is not only related to a personal need to smell good, but is also part of one's culture and identity. One of the main components in perfume oil is alcohol, which serves as a solvent to transport and evaporate fragrances. Alcohol is a common ingredient used in the manufacture of perfumes and can affect the quality and characteristics of the fragrance. Therefore, it is important to monitor the level of alcohol in perfume. In this research, we designed and developed a device for detecting alcohol content in perfume using the MQ-3 sensor. The main objective of this research is to obtain accurate data on alcohol content in various perfume brands on the market. This research consists of several stages. First, we selected and collected various perfume brands as samples. Then, we designed an electronic circuit consisting of an MQ-3 sensor, an Arduino microcontroller, and an LCD brightness module as a display interface. The results showed that the designed detector was able to measure the alcohol content in perfume with sufficient accuracy. In our case study, we found variations in alcohol content between different perfume brands. The result of the measurement is that the farther the measurement distance, the smaller the value of the sensor reading. Every vulnerable distance of 1cm has a difference of 45% - 50%.

Abstract

Along with technological advances, the increase in the number of motorized vehicles that have occurred in recent decades has led to an increasingly pressing problem of parking availability. This is especially the case in densely populated urban areas, where drivers often spend a long time looking for an empty parking space. The purpose of this research is to facilitate the process of finding a parking space for users. The Smart Parking System aims to make it easier for parking lot users to find a place to park without spending a lot of time. Parking monitoring in the Smart Parking System is carried out by using the website as a display media on the monitor. This system consists of an ultrasonic sensor as a vehicle detector and NodeMCU as a microcontroller. The design of this system shows that it has not worked perfectly because it still has problems and deficiencies in the prototype system. Due to differences in the NodeMCU type, it is difficult to connect to the access point. For the solution, NodeMCU must be connected one by one to the Arduino IDE serial monitor so that it can be connected to the access point. The results of this research trial, the sensor can detect parked vehicles and can send data to NodeMCU. It takes 1 second to send data from each sensor to NodeMCU and it takes 4 seconds to loop from 4 sensors. Meanwhile, sending data from NodeMCU to the database takes 15-20 seconds from each NodeMCU, this can happen because it is influenced by the signal.

Abstract

Absence is an activity of reporting and recording attendance in an institution, based on how it is used, the manual attendance system carried out in tertiary institutions requires students to fill out an attendance form with a signature during lectures. These deficiencies can be overcome by utilizing technology combined with the RFID system. An attendance system using web-based RFID is a system that utilizes RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to record individual attendance. This system is designed by utilizing hardware in the form of RFID readers and tags, as well as software and network infrastructure. The software used in this attendance system will receive attendance data from the RFID reader and store it in a database. The attendance data can be accessed through a web interface that can be accessed by administrators or authorized users. This web interface will display individual attendance information, such as date, check-in time, and check-out time. In addition, the system can also provide periodic attendance reports or upon request. This web-based RFID attendance system provides convenience in recording individual attendance. Users no longer need to use manual methods such as attendance cards or attendance lists. By using RFID tags, the process of recording attendance can be done automatically and efficiently.

Abstract

As input power, the amount of wind and wind speed greatly influences the wind power generation system. A combination of a wind-diesel power generation system is needed to obtain optimal power quality. A hybrid system is a controlled network of multiple renewable energy generators such as wind turbines, solar cells, micro-hydro, and so on. Gain settings that are not optimal and the time constant is small in Load Frequency Control (LFC), causing its ability to be weak (weak line). In practice, the wind-diesel system is controlled with a PID controller. Setting the gain value of the PID is still in the conventional method, so it is difficult to get the optimal value. In this research, a control design was implemented using the Smart Method to find the optimum value of the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) based on the FPA (Flower Pollination Algorithm). For comparison, methods were used without control methods, conventional PID methods, PID Auto tuning methods, and FPA (Flower Pollination Algorithm) methods. Wind-diesel modeling uses transfer function diagrams of wind and diesel turbines. This study compares several uncontrolled methods and conventional PID, PID-Auto tuning, and PID-FPA. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the smallest undershoot is -1.187.10-04 for PID-FPA, the smallest overshot is 0 for PID-FPA, and the fastest settling time is 9.827 s for PID-FPA. So it can be concluded that PID-FPA is the best controller in this research. This research can later be continued using other artificial intelligence methods.
