Abstract

Abstract This service is in partnership with the Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School Foundation which aims to assist English language development tutors in the pesantren environment.The Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School Foundation is a foundation that already has a compulsory English language program that is practiced in daily life but over time thisprogram feels stagnant and even stops. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance to language tutors to develop teaching materials and create learning media that can attractstudents. The method used uses two approaches, namely functional and training. Starting from the observation stage, then carrying out permission with the leadership, syllabu training and teaching materials, and the last one is training in making 2-dimensional audio-visual learning media. In conclusion, this activity has provided new knowledge and competencies for tutors through the development of interesting and interactive learning media. Abstrak Pengabdian ini bermitra dengan Yayasan pondok pesantren Nurul Huda yang bertujuan untuk mendampingi para tutor pengembang bahasa inggris di lingkungan pesantren.Yayasan pondok pesantren Nurul Huda adalah yayasan yang sudah mempunyai program wajib berbahasa inggris yang dipraktikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari namun seiring berjalan waktu program ini terasa stagnan dan bahkan berhenti. Tujuan pengabdian ini memberikan pendampingan kepada tutor bahasa untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar sertamembuat media pembelajaran yang dapat menarik para peserta didiknya.metode yang digunakan menggunakan dua pendekatan yaitu fungsional dan pelatihan. Dimulai daritahapan observasi, kemudian melaksanakan izin dengan pimpinan, pelatihan silabus serta bahan ajar, dan yang terakhir adalah pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran audio visual berbasis 2 dimensi. Pada kesimpulannya kegiatan ini telah memberikan penetahuan dan komptensi baru bagi para tutor melalui pengembangan media belajar yang menarik daninteraktif.

Abstract

The government is currently very concerned about the development of education in Indonesia. In the previous year, the government had just updated the curriculum for the sake of reforming education in Indonesia. The curriculum, 2013 curriculum hopes to provide a new learning system. In the curriculum, the learning was thematic, which at that time became a pro and con for teachers. After the curriculum was implemented, all educational institutions in Indonesia, the government re-evaluated and looked at its output in society. Then now the government issued a new curriculum, namely the independent curriculum, which must have a difference from the previous learning system. Of course, the existence of this new curriculum has many difficulties for teachers in its implementation. This study aims to analyze the independent curriculum. This research method is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews and documentation. The step taken by analyzing is compiling data systematically, describing, selecting, and sorting important data, and making conclusions. Based on the research conducted the difficulties often experienced by teachers are such early planning of the learning process that is poorly prepared such as by filling in the platform that has been provided without adequate guidance and preparing learning tools that they have not mattered, such as the teaching module the second in The implementation of the learning process, for example, the delivery of good learning materials has not used much media or other supporting tools, especially the application of learning projects, and the last is in evaluating the end of the learning process that has begun to run.
