Abstract

Carrot (Daucus carota L.) is generally cultivated at uplands areas. However, for lowlands, technology of innovation related to fertilizing can be considered as the solution. This study was aimed to determine the appropriate fertilizer package, the variety of carrot adapted in rainy season, and sandy clay loam of the lowland areas in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. This study was designed by using a split plot exponential design consisting of main plot consisting of carrot varieties: (V1 = Kirana and V2 = Lokal Batu) and sub-plot, consisting of fertilizer packages (P0 = control, P1 = low. P2 = medium, P3 = High). The results showed that variety of Lokal Batu was more adaptive than Kirana for having higher tuber production. 16.95 g/plant (10.12 t/ha) and 16.33 g/plant (9.80 t/ha). The result showed that the highest production of 18.89 g/plant was obtained in a medium fertilizer package as compared to other fertilizer package. There was no significant interaction between carrot varieties and fertilizer packages. The trend showed that the fertilizer packages of P2 produced the highest yield of total weight of tuber production within each carrot variety of 10.36 ton/ha for Kirana and 12.31 ton/ha for Lokal Batu.

Abstract

Packaging is one way to promote a product, attracting consumers to buy a product. In order for the packaging to perform its functions properly, the model VIEW proposed by Terence A. VIEW here includes Visibility, Information, Emotional Appeal and Workability variables.The purpose of this research is first to analyze the influence of Visibility (X1), Information (X2), Emotional Appeal (X3) and Workability (X4) on consumer purchasing decision (Y) of Fruit Flavored Drinks product in SurabayaData obtained from 100 respondents who were sampled by filling questionnaire. Based on the analysis of multiple regretion known that the independent variables have a direct positive influence with the dependent variable. Furthermore the result of data analysis obtained value R2 equal to 0,71. This can be interpreted that 71% of variables dependent variables are influenced by independent variables. While the rest (29%) is influenced by other variables outside the model.Hypothesis test results both partial and simultaneous shows the analysis results that VIEW model consisting of variables Visibility (X1), Information (X2), Emotional Appeal (X3) and Workability (X4) have a significant influence both partially and simultaneously on consumer purchasing decision (Y) of Fruit Flavored Drinks product in Surabaya. Keywords: Product packaging VIEW Model, purchase decision.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Word of Mouth, kualitas pelayanan, dan promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian produk IDEALIFE di Toko Garden Plastic. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebar kuesioner kepada 120 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel dengan teknik Accidental Sampling. Alat analisis menggunakan SPSS 16.0 melalui tahapan sebagai berikut : Uji Instrument, Uji Asumsi Klasik, dan Regresi Linear Berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) Variabel word of mouth tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian produk IDEALIFE di Toko Garden Plastic. (2) Variabel kualitas pelayanan tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian produk IDEALIFE di Toko Garden Plastic. (3) Variabel promosi memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian produk IDEALIFE di Toko Garden Plastic. (4) Variabel word of mouth, kualitas pelayanan, dan promosi secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian produk IDEALIFE di Toko Garden Plastic.
