Abstract

Jelantik Village has several community groups of tofu tempe producers, with each group's production capacity reaches 650 kg/day. As small-medium scale enterprises, the tofu tempe industry can employ the community, but the waste causes environmental problems. On the other hand, there are still many residents around the industry who are classified as economically weak. Along with the development of science and technology, pulp, a by-product of tofu and tempeh factories, has been extensively researched and modified for various nutritious processed foods. The training activity aims to empower the community around the factory, especially mothers, to use tofu waste in processed foods of high value, such as crackers, nuggets and sticks. Besides being abundantly available and cheap, tofu dregs still have good nutritional content. The training was carried out by transferring technical information on the manufacture of products to mothers in the environment around the tofu and tempeh factories. In addition to the manufacturing engineering process, the training also provides knowledge about packaging and marketing. The results obtained from this activity are that the community can use tofu dregs in crackers, nuggets and sticks. The community was enthusiastic about welcoming the team and eager to participate in the training process. The training can also answer some technical problems community in producing similar products. Currently, the assisted community groups have been able to produce crackers, nuggets and sticks made from tofu dregs and are preparing to form an entrepreneurial group together.

Abstract

Soil moisture is an important factor needed by plants for growth, and therefore the amount of soil moisture that can be stored depends on the type of soil or the composition of the soil-forming materials. Compost is one of the nutrients that is often used in the manufacture of planting media on land in the form of polybags, and the amount of compost composition on the soil is thought to greatly affect the ability to store water in the media, both the size and duration of storage. This study aims to examine the effect of using compost on storage of irrigation water in the form of soil moisture and how long it can be stored. in three-storey drip irrigation. The main data analyzed is soil moisture data (w) and the results of the analysis and discussion and conclusions are drawn descriptively. The results of the analysis show that the initial soil moisture content in the range of 19% -25%, can be given additional soil moisture by irrigation of about 12%. The average daily decrease in soil moisture that occurs in soil variation 1 (70%: 30% ) is 3% -4.4% and in soil variation 2 (50%: 50%), the average moisture reduction is around 3% -6%, soil moisture reduction in variation 2 is greater than soil variation 1 for all floors.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the discharge of rainwater runoff from different durations of rain, to determine the magnitude of the differences in the discharge of rainwater runoff produced, and to determine the differences in channel dimensions resulting from differences in the duration of rain used. This study uses 6 years of daily rainfall data recorded at Bengel Station, to calculate the planned flood discharge as an alternative for controlling rain runoff in the Green Asia Housing area with a land area of ±6 hectares, a test time was used with rain times selected as 24 hours and 5 hours. Flood discharge is calculated using the Rational formula with a rain return period of 2 years according to the design area. The results of data analysis will be presented in the form of tables, discussed and concluded descriptively. The results of the study show that there is indeed a quite large difference in flood discharge, where the use of a 24-hour rain period produces a planned discharge that is around 32% lower than the use of a 5-hour rain period. The dimensions of the channel produced for a discharge with a rain duration of 24 hours are also smaller than the dimensions produced by a flow discharge with a rain duration of 5 hours. The fact is that rain events with a duration of shorter than 24 hours are more common than rain events lasting a full day.
