Abstract

This community service activity aims to identify the existing conditions of the location that is planned to become a tourist village, in the form of outreach so that the Government of Kalurahan Banjarasri Kapanewon Kalibawang can find out a general description to plan an ecotourism, especially in the scope of transportation management. The method of activities carried out to achieve the goals of Community Service (PPM) are surveys, observations, planning and outreach as well as discussions from the community service team to Kalurahan Banjarasri officials. There are two alternatives routes to Bukit Watu Belah, and from the observations it is known that the second alternative route has a road width varying from 1,5 to 5 meters. Pavement of this village’s main road is asphalt while the road to the top of the hill is still a dirt road. In terms of transportation, the new “Bukit Watu Belah” ecotourism is worth continuing, with an ecogreen feeder transportation concept for 4-wheeled vehicles or buses.

Abstract

On the southern Java railroad there is a detour line, this line passes through Kertosono Station, Wonokromo Station, Bangil Station, Malang Station, Blitar Station, and returns to Kertosono Station. This research is focused on the train line from Kertosono Station to Blitar Station with a distance of 81.17 km. Local train trips on this line still use single tracks so they have to wait to cross with long-distance trains. This study was conducted to determine the potential of the Kertosono-Blitar train line in the future. The methods used to predict the number of train passengers are linear regression and exponential smoothing methods, and to determine the existing cross capacity, the Supriyadi method is used. From the results of the forecasting analysis, the number of passengers is estimated from 2019 to 2030 to increase to 15079 people from Kertosono Station to Blitar Station, while from Blitar Station to Kertosono Station, an increase of 11033 passengers was obtained in 2030. When viewed from the calculation of the existing cross capacity, the Kertosono-Blitar railway line is still feasible to operate, because the maximum daily cross limit is 43 trains per day so this line still does not require an upgrade to double track.

Abstract

Congestion on Jalan Ahmad Yani in West Sumba Regency is due to the presence of various shopping centers, companies, and tourist attractions. This study aims to determine the degree of saturation and level of service and provide alternative solutions to overcome the level of traffic congestion. The degree of saturation of Jalan Ahmad Yani in directions 1 and 2 is very high because the DS value is more than 1.00. The highest degree of saturation is 1.41 for direction 1 on Friday at 16.00-17.00, while direction 2 is 1369 on Monday at 12.00-13.00. The amount of road capacity is 1,075.41 pcu/hour while the peak flow is 1472 pcu/hour and is included in the level of road service F. Alternative solutions to overcome the level of traffic congestion are widening the road from 5 m to 9 m so that the degree of saturation is only 0.613 and is included in the level of service C. The second solution is directing pedestrians to use the sidewalk but at peak times it is included in the level of service F; conditions are still the same as before removing obstacles, namely traffic flow jams, low speeds, long queues, and delays. Keywords: Congestion; Level of Service; Road Capacity.
