Abstract

The development of thought and empirical studies among experts on human development has given birth to a variety of diverse theories in accordance with the perspectives of thoughts and personal experiences of experts who built the theory. Two social views about gender are psychoanalytic theory and social cognitive theory. According to social cognitive theory, gender develops through a mechanism consisting of observation, imitation, appreciation, and punishment. According to the cognitive view, interaction between children and the social environment is the main key to gender development. However, the role of reward and punishment cannot be separated from the child's gender development, so that children can understand and determine which gender behavior is appropriate for their gender. Psychoanalytic theory states that children in preschool age tend to experience attraction to parents of different sexes. But at the age of 5-6 years, the child is no longer interested in the opposite parent, on the contrary he will identify himself with parents of the same sex. So that unconsciously, he will have the same gender behavior as parents of the same sex.

Abstract

Abstrak: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode pembelajaran Problem Based Learning, Cooperative Learning tipe jigsaw, dan ceramah dalam pembelajaran matakuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran di Fakultas Tarbiyah UIN Makassar, baik dalam pemecahan masalah yang dihadapai mahasiswa maupun untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tru experiment dengan Crossed Design (Rancangan bersilang). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analisis multivariat dari kovarian (MANCOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Problem Based Learning lebih efektif jika dibandingan dengan metode Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw dan ceramah dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Perencanaan Pembelajaran. Selain itu, mahasiswa yang diajar dengan metode Problem Based Learning memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang lebih tinggi dari pada yang diajar dengan metode Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw dan metode ceramah. Kata Kunci: problem based learning, cooperative learning tipe jigsaw, dan ceramah, perencanaan pembelajaran THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING, THE JIGSAW TYPE COOPERATIVE LEARNING, AND LECTURING METHODS AS PROBLEM SOLVING IN THE INSTRUCTIONAL PLANNING COURSE Abstract: This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of the problem-based learning, the jigsaw type cooperative learning, and lecturing methods in the Instructional Planning Class in Tarbiyah Faculty of UIN Makassar, both in solving problems faced by students and to improve student achievement. This study used the true experiment approach with the Crossed Design. The data were analyzed using the multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA). The findings showed that the Problem-Based Learning method is more effective than the jigsaw type cooperative learning method and the lecturing method in improving the students’ achievement in the Instructional Planning course. In addition, the students taught using the Problem-Based Learning method have higher problem-solving ability than those taught using the jigsaw type cooperative learning method and the lecturing method. Abstract

Constructivism is the basis for thinking of a contextual approach, namely that knowledge is built not a set of facts, concepts, or rules that are ready to be remembered. Students must construct that knowledge and give meaning through real experience. Students need to be accustomed to solving problems, finding something useful for themselves, and struggling with ideas. The teacher will not be able to give all knowledge to students. Students must construct knowledge in their own minds. Knowledge is not static, but is constantly evolving and changing as students construct new experiences that force them to base themselves and modify previous knowledge.Learning must be packaged into the process of constructing knowledge rather than receiving knowledge. In the learning process, students build their own knowledge through active involvement in the learning and teaching process. Students become the center of activities, not teachers.Critical thinking is an attempt by someone to check the truth of information using the availability of evidence, logic, and awareness of bias. Critical thinking skills are the cognitive processes of students in analyzing systematically and specifically the problems faced, distinguishing these problems carefully and thoroughly, as well as identifying and reviewing information to plan problem solving strategies.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of self-confidence on prosocial behavior in IAIN Palu students and the impact of self-confidence on religiosity in IAIN Palu students. The method used is quantitative. The data analysis uses Multiple Linear Regression correlation, which was carried out with the help of SPSS (Statistical Program For Social Science) for Windows 20.0. With the number of students 30. This study includes three variables, consisting of one independent variable and two dependent variables, namely the independent variable Self-Confidence (X1) and the Prosocial Behavior Bound Variable (Y1) Religiosity (Y2), using a Likert scale as an instrument or collection tool. Data. The results of the research show: (1) The self-confidence variable significantly affects the prosocial attitude of IAIN Palu students. Prosocial behavior reflects the care and concern of a student for other students and is implemented through actions to benefit students. (2) The self-confidence variable significantly affects the religiosity of IAIN Palu students. Self-confidence is an attitude or belief in one's abilities so that in his actions, he is not too anxious, feels free to do things according to his wishes and is responsible for his actions, and is polite in interacting with others.

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the relationship adjustment with the motivation to learn, social support peer learning motivation, and self regulation with student motivation on accelerated classes of SMPN 1. Data collected were analyzed using statistical method. Research showed, the first hypothesis was not obtained significant negative correlation between conformity with the motivation to learn or rxy of -0.332 with p> 0.05 (p = 0.142). The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.076. The second hypothesis was not obtained significant positive correlation between peer support and motivation to learn or rxy of 0.044 with p> 0.05 (p = 0.851). The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.008. This means that the variable peer support a contribution of 0.8% of the students' motivation accelerated classes SMPN1 Palu. The third hypothesis was obtained significant positive correlation between self-regulation and motivation to learn or rxy of 0.322 with p> 0.05 (p = 0.155). The magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.070. This means that self-regulation variables contributed 7.0% of the students' motivation accelerated classes SMPN1 Palu

Abstract

This research is to determine the effect of locus of control on religiosity in students of IAIN Palu. Religiosity is related to the formation of prosocial behavior. Students can have a high level of religiosity if they have a higher religious attachment so that students can carry out their religious teachings and obligations obediently. Religiosity refers to the level of attachment of students to their religion. This study uses a quantitative approach to prove the causal relationship of the variables studied. This study aims to determine the relationship between X and Y variables, therefore this type of research is correlational. The results of this study indicate that locus of control has a significant effect on the religiosity of IAIN Palu students. The existence of students' beliefs to control life and be responsible for their own lives makes individuals with an internal locus of control able to carry out prosocial behavior.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of using audio visual as media in improving learning achievement of a Islamic Junior high schools. The study used qualitative methods with observation, interview and documentation as techniques for data collection. The results of this research shows that the use of audio visual media in enhancing the learning achievement of Islamic education at SMP Negeri 1 Palu was effective for several reasons: First, the use of audio-visual media can clarify the material that is taught, effectifying and functioning students’ sensory, both senses of sight and hearing in accordance with the nature of the characteristics of the material and subject matter that is taught. Second, gives stimulation, experiences and observations that is similar to students in the same time with the subject matter. Third, encourages students to be active in learning activity. By using the audio-visual media, we can also say that the PAI teachers have motivated the whole class to be actively included in the teaching learning proces. Fourth, audio-visual media is very effective in improving students’ interest and achievement in learning Islamic education. The supporting factors are the learning system thatt is used, the quality of teachers, the facilities and infrastructures, as well as the role of parents, communities and the agencies related. The factors that inhibit the effectiveness of using audio visual media are as follows: (1). Time allocation of learning, (2). Procurement of electricity. To overcome these problems we can use genset macine as temporary power, desain the material an media in accodane with time.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how religious culture influence the emotional intelligence of students at a Junior High School. This study used quantitative method. The sample of the study was 46 Junior High School students selected randomly. The students were given questionnaires using Likert scale. Validity test was done using Pearson’s Product Moment correlation technique, while the reliability test used Alpha formula. Prerequisite analysis test used normality test and linearity test. The data was analyzed using simple linear regression techniques. The level of significance of the results of the analysis wass determined at 5%. The number of valid items for religious culture variables was 15 items, and the number of valid items for the emotional intelligence variable was 17 items. This study found that religious culture applied at Junior High School (SMP) 10 Sigi effected the emotional intelligence of the students. It was found that the r count value of 0.590 compared to the r table value (0.05 ; 46) = 0, 285. The obtained r count> r table was 0.590> 0, 285, meaning that there is a significant influence. This means the religious culture of the school as an independent variable influences emotional intelligence as the dependent variable and it appears that the implementation of religious culture is more effective to increase the students emotional intelligence.

Abstract

Religious education in schools is expected to have a significant impact on the development of students' religious and social character so as to prevent them from immoral social behavior. This research tries to identify extracurricular activities that help improve the social and religious character of students. This research uses qualitative methodologies, with in-depth interviews providing as data collecting technique. The data were subsequently analysed utilising triangulation techniques by modifying existing theories. According to the findings of this study, the school offers an Islamic tarbiyah programme as an extracurricular activity from Saturday through Sunday. Every day, a programme called tawjihat murabbiyat is used to control Islamic tarbiyah activities. In addition to extracurricular activities, the improvement of students' religious and social character is accomplished by the incorporation of religious principles into subject matter and the entrenching of appropriate behaviour in school culture. Developing social character involves working on a variety of skills, including discipline, respect for others, serving both parents, tolerance, humility, and caring for others and the environment. Concerning the religious attitudes fostered by the program, such as the practise of congregational prayer, the wearing of the veil, and become a Mutamayyiz Muslims.

Abstract

Adolescence's middle years are fraught with problems that force them to make good or bad decisions in their social interactions. Schools play an important role in guiding students' development in the right direction. The purpose of this research is to investigate a model for integrating the Tarbiyah Islamiyah curriculum in order to improve the character of students. The vocational high school Bina Potensi Palu is the site of this research. This study is a qualitative-descriptive. The respondents included the principal and four teachers who were directly involved in tarbiyah islamiyah activities. Data was gathered through an in-depth interview technique and presented following the reduction and triangulation processes. The findings of this study revealed that: 1) the tarbiyah Islamiyah integration process took two forms, that is integration into Islamic religious education subjects and integration into extracurricular activities that were held every weekend. Integration using Fogarty's shared model; 2) Tarbiyah islamiyah in schools implements a limited boarding school system; the authors refer to it as "semi-boarding school"; 3) Tarbiyah islamiyah teaches social values and characters such as obedience to parents and teachers, respect for others, politeness in relationships, caring for others, tolerance, respect for other religions, and visiting the sick. The application of social character is carried out verbally and nonverbally through school culture. These social characters are the foundation of character education in schools, which supports the national education curriculum's aims. Educational institutions should implement it to achieve national education goals in developing students social characters.
