Abstract

After May 1998, Indonesia began the transition from centralization to the era of autonomy. During 32 years, Soeharto’s New Order regime (1966-1998) demonstrated authoritarian regime in many sectors, like politics, economics, social, especially in education. The political freedom of the Reform era has opened up an opportunity for the revival of social movements in Indonesia. Reform has enabled more open political structure, including a friendlier political atmosphere for the teacher movement. The purpose of this research is to explain how teacher movement in Indonesia made transformation from authoritarian which close movement to liberal with open movement. In New Order regime with authoritarian performance, Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (Teacher Union in Indonesia) is as the single actor. The paper discussed three main aspects: (1) the explanation of the emerging of teacher movements in the process of democratic citizenship (2) the dynamics of teacher movement in developing teacher capacity in era of decentralization of Indonesia (3) the relations of teacher movement between the civil societies in era of decentralization. The teacher movement influences Indonesia’s democratization process. Teacher movement has contributed substantially in increasing participation and democracy in Indonesia, building the legal and institutional infrastructure for democracy, and providing voice and educational advocacy in supporting the reform.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe ​​the process of religious conversion conducted by five ethnic Chinese muallafs at Yayasan Haji Karim Oei Jakarta. This study also describes the state of anomie experienced by muallafs in the post-religious conversion time and the adaptation to face the anomic circumstances. Qualitative approach with case study method is the research approach used in this research. Observations and interviews were used as data collection. This study uses the concept of systemic stage model by Rambo Lewis to examine the process of religious conversion and the concept of anomie by Emile Durkheim to examine the social state of post-religious conversion. In fact, that the religious conversion is caused by internal factor which is inner crisis and also caused by external factors such as living in a social sphere dominated by the majority of Muslims, the factor of marriage, and religious lectures performed by the religious leaders.

Abstract

This article discusses about the partnership between stakeholders in managing Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) in Kalijodo, West Jakarta. Researchers use the Child-Friendy Integrated Public Space concepts, stakeholder concepts, and partnership stakeholder concepts. This article will explain about the roles and relations of stakeholders in managing RPTRA Kalijodo, also the implications of the relation between stakeholders in managing that RPTRA. Partnerships between stakeholders that involved in RPTRA Kalijodo include the division of roles, cooperation, and collaboration between the local government and the surrounding society as an effort to manage the RPTRA Kalijodo. The existence of that relation can be a partnership between stakeholders that involved, so the management of the RPTRA can run optimally and RPTRA Kalijodo can be utilized by the society.

Abstract

The purpose of this article to analyze the thought of Jacques Ranciere in the practice of emancipatory education. Ranciere is one of the new generation of French philosopher.This article written by library research method whichis relevant with Ranciere. He revealed a critique of the explicative order he calls the myth of pedagogy which dominate educational practices today. Furthermore, the result of this study shows that the conception of education in Ranciere thought seeks to show ways to envision pedagogical practice as a form of intellectual emancipation, or in other words, a practice which verifies the equality of human intelligence. Realized in practice through teaching methods introduced by Josep Jacotot with the name of Universal Teaching. To confirm the true nature of humanity that: "all men are equally intelligence". Tujuan dari artikel ini menganalisis pemikiran Jacques Ranciere dalam praktik pendidikan emansipatoris. Ranciere adalah salah satu generasi baru filsuf Perancis. Artikel ini ditulis dengan pendekatan kepustakaanyang relevan dengan tokoh Ranciere. Dia mengungkapkan kritik terhadap tatanan penjelasan yang disebutnya mitos pedagogi yang mendominasi praktik pendidikan saat ini. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsepsi pendidikan di bidang pembelajaran adalah bentuk emansipasi intelektual, atau dengan kata lain, praktik yang memverifikasi kesetaraan kecerdasan manusia. Hal tersebut terwujud dalam praktik dengan metode pengajaran yang diperkenalkan oleh Josep Jacotot dengan nama Pengajaran Universal. Untuk mengkonfirmasi sifat sejati kemanusiaan: “semua manusia sama-sama memiliki kecerdasan”.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the thinking of four sociologist:Pierre Bourdieu, Michael W. Apple, Henry Giroux and Carlos Alberto Torres about the curriculum and explains the definition of curriculum in sociological perspective. The methodology used is by conducting literature review of books written by the four sociologists. There are two important conclusions in this paper (1) states practice a set of mechanisms of power through the use of discourse that is by forming educational texts to produce a variety of compliance in the form of values, worldview, and so forth. Curriculum as a form of state power is used in producing various world outlook which should be in line with the state perspective, (2) curriculum is a space where the agents with the interests and different capital fight each other to fight for position, influence, prestige and position. Need to do more in-depth discussion and review of curriculum in various aspects. The on putting pedagogical studies curriculum as a micro study. So far, the study of curriculum has been emphasizing more. ABSTRAKTujuan kajian ini dimaksudkan untuk menjelaskan pemikiran empat sosiolog yaitu Pierre Bourdieu, Michael W. Apple, Henry Giroux dan Carlos Alberto Torres tentang kurikulum dan menjelaskan definisi kurikulum dalam perspektif sosiologis. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah melakukan kajian pustaka dari buku-buku yang ditulis oleh empat sosiolog tersebut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) negara menjalankan praktek kekuasaannya melalui penggunaan seperangkat mekanisme wacana yaitu dengan pembentukan teks-teks pendidikan untuk menghasilkan berbagai kepatuhan berupa nilai, cara pandang dunia, dan sebagainya. Kurikulum sebagai bentuk kekuasaan digunakan negara dalam memproduksi berbagai cara pandang dunia yang harus sejalan dengan cara pandang negara dan 2) kurikulum merupakan sebuah ruang dimana para agen dengan kepentingan dan modalnya yang berbedabeda saling bertarung untuk memperjuangkan posisi, pengaruh, prestis dan kedudukan. Perlu dilakukan diskusi dan kajian lebih mendalam tentang kurikulum dalam berbagai aspek. Selama ini kajian tentang kurikulum lebih banyak ditekankan pada kajian pedagogik yang lebih menempatkan kurikulum sebagai kajian mikro.

Abstract

This article aims is to: 1) describes the dynamics of movement of teachers in Indonesia after New Order era. This phase is marked by the emerging various teacher organizations in Indonesia and 2) explain how the contribution of Indonesian teachers movement in the stage of democracy in Indonesia. There are two important conclusions in this paper are 1) Indonesian teacher movement that developed after the New Order era is the manifestation and articulation of a political system that supports the emergence of these movements; 2) the movement of Indonesian teachers become an important social group in the transition to democracy in Indonesia after New Order. The methodology used is the study of literature by examining a variety of related references teachers’ movement in Indonesia. Movement of teachers in Indonesia have to do the strengthening and consolidation of networks both national and international networks. Their movements will be more solid, structured and institutionalized as an important actor in the transition to democracy in Indonesia. ABSTRAKTujuan penulisan artikel ini yaitu: 1) menjelaskan dinamika gerakan guru Indonesia setelah era Orde Baru. Fase ini ditandai dengan bermunculan berbagai organisasi guru di Indonesia dan 2) menjelaskan bagaimana kontribusi gerakan guru Indonesia dalam pentas demokrasi Indonesia. Ada dua kesimpulan penting dalam tulisan ini yaitu: 1) gerakan guru Indonesia yang berkembang setelah era Orde Baru merupakan manifestasi dan artikulasi dari sistem politik yang mendukung munculnya gerakan tersebut; 2) gerakan guru Indonesia menjadi kelompok social penting dalam transisi demokrasi di Indonesia setelah Orde Baru. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kajian literature dengan mengkaji berbagai referensi terkait gerakan guru di Indonesia. Hal penting yang harus dilakukan oleh gerakan guru di Indonesia adalah melakukan penguatan dan konsolidari jaringan baik jaringan nasional maupun internasional. Dengan cara ini gerakan mereka akan lebih solid, terstruktur dan terlembagakan sebagai actor penting dalam transisi demokrasi di Indonesia.

Abstract

This article has two purposes for writing. Firstly, explain the differences in academic achievement between students of men and women on the subjects of Physics, Sociology and Indonesian? Secondly, to explain the tendency of academic achievement differences between boys and girls on the subjects of Physics, Sociology and Bahasa Indonesian. It can be concluded that the subjects of Physics, women have higher grades than men. On the subject of Sociology and the Indonesian language, there were no significant differences between men and women. The results of this study was influenced by developments or changes in the mindset that embraced the values of society regarding women’s position in society. This study use a quantitative approach with secondary data analysis methods (ADS). Data collection method used is the method of documentation. It should be done early gender socialization to students about gender equality in an effort to minimize the occurrence of gender bias. ABSTRAKArtikel ini memiliki dua tujuan penulisan. Pertama, menjelaskan perbedaan prestasi akademik antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan pada mata pelajaran Fisika, Sosiologi dan Bahasa Indonesia? Kedua, menjelaskan kecenderungan perbedaan prestasi akademik antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan pada mata pelajaran Fisika, Sosiologi dan Bahasa Indonesia. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada mata pelajaran Fisika, perempuan mempunyai nilai yang lebih tinggi dibanding laki-laki. Pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi dan Bahasa Indonesia, tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil penelitian ini dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan pola pikir atau perubahan nilai-nilai yang dianut masyarakat berkaitan posisi perempuan dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis data sekunder (ADS). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi. Perlu dilakukan sosialisasi gender sejak dini kepada pelajar tentang kesetaraan gender dalam upaya meminimalisir terjadinya bias gender.

Abstract

This study will explain the social changes as a resulted of moved Betawi Cultural Area to Srengseng Sawah. By using the perspective of social change, clearly reflected that Condet transformed the social, economic and cultural. Social changes in Condet not be separated from the structure of Jakarta as a center of power. Srengseng Sawah is the area that still maintained its environment, a coolenvironment, beautiful and quite shady with trees. Srengseng Sawah chosen as the Township Betawi of Culture because they still have the Betawi culture as his trademark. It is characterized by the persistence of the homes still using typical stage Betawi. Also, still survive Betawi’s food and many accessories of Betawi. Other factors because Srengseng Sawah is considered to have potential to develop cultural tourism. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini ingin menjelaskan perubahan sosial yang mengakibatkan dipindahkannyanya Cagar Budaya Betawi dari Condet ke Srengseng Sawah. Menggunakan perspektif perubahan sosial, dengan jelas tergambarkan bahwa Condet mengalami transformasi sosial, ekonomi dan kebudayaan. Perubahan sosial yang terjadi di Condet tidak bisa dilepaskan dari struktur Jakarta sebagai pusat kekuasaan. Srengseng Sawah merupakan kawasan yang masih terjaga lingkungannya, yaitu lingkungan yang sejuk, asri dan cukup rindang dengan pepohonan. Daerah ini dipilih sebagai perkampungan budaya Betawi karena masih memiliki budaya Betawi sebagai ciri khasnya. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan masih bertahannya rumah-rumah panggung berarsitektur khas Betawi. Selain itu, masih bertahan juga makanan khas maupun aksesoris khas Betawi. Faktor lainnya karena Srengseng Sawah dianggap memiliki potensi untuk mengembangan pariwisata budaya (cultural tourism).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis kinerja pengelolaan keuangan pada Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Makassar. Dalam penelitian ini menganalisis pada efektivitas pengelolaan keuangan dan efisiensi pengelolaan keuangan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja pengelolaan keuangan pada Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Makassar pada tahun anggaran 2011 s.d. 2015 sebagai berikut: 1) efektivitas pengelolaan keuangan pada Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Makassar pada kategori cukup efektif, karena nilai efektivitasnya 93,89 persen. 2) efisiensi pengelolaan keuangan pada Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Makassar pada kategori efisien, karena nilai efisiensinya 15,39 persen.Dengan demikian disarankan kepada pihak penentu kebijakan pada Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Makassar dapat mempertahankan dan meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan keuangan sehingga hasil yang dicapai dapat mencerminkan kinerja pegawai dan organisasi.
