Abstract

The significant changes in the international stage have raised new challenges for the aviation world. In order to cope with these challenges, the aviaton sector has been encouraged to apply innovation, both in its products and services. This article then aims to explain some factors that are influencing innovation in the aviation sector. The method used in this article is qualitative research method by focusing on the literature review. Therefore, the authors are focusing to analyze the secondary data to gain answers to research’s problems. The result shows that there are three factors influencing innovation in the aviation sector, namely human resource capability, technology advancement, and clear energy prominence. These three factors have a positive influence, so they can encourage the aviation sector to keep innovating.

Abstract

Previous research or relevant research is very important in a research or scientific article. Previous research or relevant research serves to strengthen the theory and phenomena of the relationship or influence between variables. This article reviews three issues, namely: revenue management, terminal operations, and aircraft loading which affect the performance of air cargo. The results of this literature review article are: 1) There are revenue management problems that can affect air cargo performance; 2) There are problems with terminal operations that can affect the performance of air cargo; and 3) There are problems with aircraft loading which can affect the performance of air cargo.

Abstract

Aviation safety management becomes more important to be considered because flight accidents can give a broader impact. Not only endangering its crews and passengers, but flight accidents also threaten people’s lives on the ground. This article then aims to explain the factors that influence aviation safety management. In the process, the authors use the qualitative research method by focusing on the literature review or studying the previous research. The result of this article shows that there are three factors that have an influence to aviation safety management. First, the human factor includes pilots, aviation operators, and other aviation staff. Second, operating space which includes weather conditions and the airport. Third, aircraft and its technologies which can be seen through good aircraft design and construction, as well as the technology that has a crucial role in aircraft operation.

Abstract

This literature review examines the development and potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in aviation, particularly in aircraft design, air traffic control, and maintenance. AI has the potential to revolutionize the industry by making aircrafts more efficient, lighter, and safer. The use of AI in air traffic control can also reduce delays and improve safety. One of the most significant potential benefits of AI in aviation is increased security, as it can be used to detect potential security threats and prevent hijackings or other security breaches. However, the implementation of AI in aviation also presents challenges such as significant investment in infrastructure and training, concerns about job loss, and ensuring the security and privacy of data. Despite these challenges, the potential benefits of AI in aviation make it a promising field of development for the industry.

Abstract

The utilization of airspace is the implementation and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia as a whole. Including the national airspace arrangement, service delivery, personnels, facilities, flight navigation services, and the imposition of sanctions in accordance with applicable legal regulations in Indonesia. Airports are the most important facilities in air transportation services in various places including in Indonesia, because their function is intended as a place for departure and landing of aircraft, boarding and falling of passengers, goods (cargo), and postal. The method of writing this scientific article is to apply qualitative methods and methods of literature. This study uses the literature review method so as to obtain results on Personnels Capability has an influence on Individual Quality in Airport Services, Safety recognition has an influence on Individual Quality in Airport Services, and Socialization of Safety Areas has an influence on Individual Quality in Airport Services.

Abstract

This article reviews the effect of career competence on perceived employability, mediated by career success and mediated by career shock in aviation polytechnic students, a study of human resources literature. The results of this literature review article are: 1) career competence influences perceived work ability; 2) career success mediates the relationship between career competence and perceived ability; and 3) Career shock moderates the relationship between career competence and perceived ability.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia penerbangan atau jasa transportasi udara semakin hari semakin meningkat, hal ini disebabkan oleh banyaknya masyarakat yang menilai dengan menggunakan jasa transportasi udara. Pelayanan yang sesuai dengan harapan dapat memberikan kepuasan bagi pelanggan karena kualitas pelayanan memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan kepuasan pelanggan Pada beberapa perusahaan transportasi udara terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan konsumen terhadap pelayanan bandara diantaranya faktor kualitas pelayanan, faktor fasilitas yang terdapat pada bandara, serta faktor keamanan yang diberikan oleh bandara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Penulis kemudian menggunakan literature review dengan mengkaji penelitian-penelitian terdahulu. Sehingga mampu memperoleh hasil penelitian yang diinginkan. Pertama, faktor kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen, hal ini dikarenakan pelayanan yang baik akan memberikan kepuasan tersendiri bagi konsumen. Dari beberapa penelitian terdahulu diperoleh hasil perhitungan yang bernilai positif antar variabelnya sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelayanan yang baik akan mampu meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen. Kedua, faktor fasilitas berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen, penyataan ini dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian terdahulu yang telah dipaparkan sebelumnya dimana fasilitas yang diberikan untuk tujuan kemudahan konsumen mampu meningkatkan kepuasan bagi konsumen yang memanfaatkannya. Ketiga, faktor keamanan memiliki pengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen bandara. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu, dapat diketahui bahwa tingkat keamanan yang baik mampu meningkatkan kepuasan bagi konsumen bandara karena dengan keamanan yang tejamin maka konsumen tidak perlu khawatir dengan ancaman-ancaman keselamatan dan keamanan yang mungkin akan timbul didalam wilayah bandara.

Abstract

The air cargo business has facilitated international trade and the global economy. It plays an important role due to its characteristics, such as long-distance capability, short transport times, low network density, and comparatively low transport capacities. This article then tried to explain and analyze some prominent factors that are influencing the air cargo business. During the research process, the author used a qualitative method by focusing on the literature review design. The result of this article showed that three prominent factors have a significant influence on the air cargo business. First, business plan and strategy by creating an integrated and consolidated plan to achieve competitive advantage. Second, professional human resources or actors who have a crucial role in air cargo operations, such as the shipper, freight forwarder of integrator, customs agent, and ground handling agent. Third, airlines’ performance can be found in product and service quality improvement. Furthermore, other factors also have an influence, namely airport management, economic factors, government policies, the air cargo market, technology advancement, and environmental issues.

Abstract

Sosialisasi penghematan listrik di Sekolah Menengah Kejurusan dilakukan di SMKN 5 Penerbangan Waibu bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa dan staf terhadap pentingnya menghemat energi listrik. Metode yang dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode partisipatif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cara menyampaikan informasi mengenai konsep penghematan energi listrik, cara penggunaan listrik yang efisien, serta dampak negatif yang dihasilkan jika tidak melakukan penghematan energi listrik. Selain itu dalam sosialisasi ini juga diberikan tips – tips praktisi yang dapat dilakukan di lingkungan sekolah, seperti mematikan lampu dan AC saat tidak digunakan, menggunakan peralatan listrik yang hemat energi, dan memanfaatkan cahaya alami. Sosialisasi penghematan energi listrik ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang pentingnya penghematan energi listrik serta mengubah perilaku siswa dan staf dalam penggunaan energi listrik menjadi lebih efisien dan ramah lingkungan. Sasaran dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah para siswa SMKN dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 5 Penerbangan Waibu, Distrik Waibu dengan diikuti oleh 4 orang dosen dari Politeknik Penerbangan Jayapura. Dampak dengan adanya kegiatan ini adalah para siswa dan staf di SMKN 5 Penerbangan Waibu dapat memahami seberapa pentingnya menghemat energi listrik, sehingga tidak melakukan pemborosan listrik lagi
