Abstract

Background : As a result of the red blood cell-forming tissues' failure to produce enough red blood cells to keep hemoglobin levels at normal levels, anemia is a condition marked by lower-than-normal blood hemoglobin levels. Objective: Identify the efficacy of food treatment and therapytuina chuzen in the recovery of pregnant women with anemia Method : The technique that involves giving patients or clients direct instruction or demonstration Result : The use of moringa plants can improve blood circulation. Healthy blood circulation can improve fertility. Suggestion : When deciding how much to consume given a pregnant woman's health, it is advised that she contact an obstetrician. Abstract

Background : According to Mohtar (2012), predisposing factors, such as increased estrogen and HCG levels during pregnancy, primigravida, organic factors, endocrine factors, and psychological factors are the reasons of hyperemesis gravidarum. Loss of weight is a side effect of hypermesis gravidarum. (Varney, 2007). Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) in pregnant women will result from weight reduction in those who are pregnant. (Prawirohardjo, 2007). Traditional Chinese medicine is one non-pharmacological treatment option for pregnant women who suffer hyperemesis gravidarum. Objective: Understanding how successful TCM food therapy, acupuncture management, and tuina chuzhen are for treating hyperemesis gravidarum Method : The technique that involves giving patients or clients direct instruction or demonstration result : Acupuncture at PC6 Neiguan point is effective in reducing complaints of hyperemesis. Tuina Chuizen therapy at Bazhen point, Hechelu point on the head, and Back-Loin will gradually relax the muscles. Pregnant women with hyperemesis gravidarum can benefit from TCM-based food therapy by avoiding foods with strong odors. Suggestion : Patients with Heperemesis Gravidarum may benefit from traditional alternative therapy, but pregnant women continue to regularly visit their obstetrician to discuss the health of the mother and fetus. Abstract

Background: Kamperfuli or Honeysuckle (Lonicera sp) is a decorative, food and medicinal plant quite widely used by the people. Various researches have been done on its and its bioactive substances’ usefulness for the therapy of various contagious and non-contagious diseases. Methods: This article is a systematic review of scientific research results on Lonicera sp and its bioactive substances published in the database of Researchgate, PubMed, and CNKI, especially within the last 10 years. Results: Chinese Pharmacope listed Honeysuckle in two separate entities as Jinyinhua (Lonicerae Japonicae Flos) and Shanyinhua (Lonicerae Flos) consisting of 5 species from genus Lonicera (L. japonica, L. confusa, L. macrantha, L. hypoglauca, and L. fulvotomentosa) with similar property and indications for heat elimination and detoxification. Various researches have proven its effects as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-endotoxic, antidiabetic, neuroprotective, immunomodulation, etc. The medicinal parts include its flowers, leaves, and stems. Conclusions: The empirical effects of Honeysuckle have been proven scientifically. With its wide spectral pharmacologic effects, Honeysuckle can be used rationally as food, beverage, or natural remedy for health maintenance and help to treat various infectious due to microbes as well as non-infectious metabolic diseases.

Abstract

Background: Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (BZYQT) is a classic traditional chinese medicine herbal formula with tonic property which is used widely by the people. Scientific researches have been done abundantly to explore the empirical claims of BZYQT in line with its pharmacologic effects. Methods: This article is a systematic review of published evidences about the empirical and pharmacological effects of BZYQT available from Sciencedirect, PubMed and CNKI data bases. Results: BZYQT has been empirically used as a central Qi tonic or energy enhancer. Pharmacologic studies indicate its effects encompass regulating various aspects of gastrointestinal function, antitumor effects, immune stimulant, and others. Conclusions: The empirical effects of BZYQT have been proven scientifically in regulation of various gastrointestinal functions, immune stimulation, antitumor, and others.

Abstract

Background: Tinnitus is a frequently encountered health problem, suffered by about 10-15% of the people. The available treatment methods are variable and not fully satisfactory. Acupuncture is one of the therapy widely studied recently. Methods: This article reviews systematically publications about acupuncture therapy for tinnitus cases cited in the data base of PubMed and CNKI. Results: Tinnitus can be perceived from the aspects of western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. Both aspects have similarity, i.e., that tinnitus is a symptom not a disease, that tinnitus could be caused by either internal or external causes. Studies have shown acupuncture therapy can be combined with and improve the effectiveness of conventional therapy for tinnitus. Conclusion: Effect of acupuncture therapy against neurogenic tinnitus has been reported from systematic review, meta-analysis, and controlled clinical trials. Combination of acupuncture therapy with conventional therapy brings better effectiveness compared to each therapy alone
