Abstract

We propose learning Matematika GASING to help students better understand the addition material. Matematika GASING is a way of learning mathematics in an easy, fun and enjoyable fashion. GASING is short for GAmpang, aSyIk, and menyenaNGkan (Bahasa Indonesia for easy, fun and enjoyable). It was originally developed by Prof. Yohanes Surya at the Surya Institute in Indonesia to improve the mathematics education in Indonesia. In Matematika GASING, there is a step called “the critical point” that needs to be mastered for each topic. The focus of our research is the critical point for addition, that is addition of two numbers between 1 − 10 with a sum less than 20. The subject is a matriculation class at STKIP Surya and the research method used is Classroom Action Research. Abstract

This Community Service activity was carried out because they we the teacher's lack of ability in making their own learning videos. This ability is very much-needed in this pandemic, because students have to do distance learning. Universitas Pembangunan Jaya conducts training for teachers at MTs Miftah Assa'adah School located in South Tangerang area. In distance learning, the use of video media is needed by students. Teacher training is conducted using a combination of online and offline methods. The teachers were also given hand-on training to create, edit and upload the learning videos they made. Training using common applications and can be obtained easily. The applications used are also applications that do not require high computer resources, so they can be done with only standard devices. For example MS Power Point, Canva and Movie Maker, VLC and even Zoom. Of the 10 indicators used as a measure, 8 of them showed an increase of over 50%. The post-test results at the end of the training also showed an improvement in the general abilities of the training participants

Abstract

Situation during COVID19 pandemic, requires all schools to conduct online learning. This condition is done to prevent the spread of pandemic. The problem is that the infrastructure is not fully supported. Learning in marginal areas is still constrained by the difficulty of the signal or internet connection. This research was conducted to obtain an infrastructure design that can be used in areas with minimal internet connection, or even no internet network connection. Using R&D, the research begins by designing a network device on the school side – Acces Point, also a tool to expand coverage - repeater. Furthermore, design and testing of signal amplifier antennas that can be used on the client side is carried out. For the client side, several types of amplifier antennas are made that can be used to receive Wifi frequencies. There are three types of antennas that are made and tested, namely Yagi, Yagi Cross, and cantennas. Both are Unidirectional antenna. Connection quality is measured with a Wifi analyzer device to determine network quality. As for mobile phones, it is measured using the Wifi Master Key. The result obtained is a WELAN infrastructure design which is equipped with unidirectional antenna design with a total range of 8 Km.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan adanya faktor kebutuhan warga pengguna internet untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola aplikasi sistem informasi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan memberikan keterampilan pengelolaan aplikasi sistem informasi kepada warga kelurahan Sawah Baru, Tangerang Selatan. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah pemuda yang aktif dalam kepengurusan organisasi yang ada di kelurahan, sebanyak 16 orang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengadakan pelatihan dalam bentuk ceramah yang disertai peragaan pemakaian, praktek, tanya jawab dan diskusi studi kasus. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dibantu oleh mahasiswa dari Program Studi Sistem Informasi.  Hasil kegiatan dari aspek pengetahuan diukur dengan pre tes dan pos tes, dari aspek keterampilan diukur dengan pengamatan langsung terhadap peserta dalam mengelola aplikasi melalui tanya jawab lisan, yang didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut. Pertama, peserta mendapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang dibutuhkan untuk dapat mengelola aplikasi. Kedua, peserta memperoleh keterampilan untuk mengelola aplikasi dengan benar. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak baik bagi mahasiswa yang memungkinkan terjadinya kolaborasi dengan peserta dalam memberi solusi untuk kebutuhan warga.

Abstract

An important factor influencing the success of regional development, one of which is the human resources (HR) that have a role in increasing the productivity and competitiveness of a region. An analysis of the competitiveness of a region needs to be carried out to identify weaknesses and strengths in human resource aspects that will have an impact on economic performance and people's welfare. This study aims to analyze the Regional Competitiveness Index (IDSD) of Banten Province in terms of human resources using several indicators, including education level, availability of employment, health, and investment environment. The method used is descriptive analysis and regional competitiveness index calculation. The data used in this study were obtained from the National Research and Innovation Agency. The results of the study show that Banten Province has an IDSD value on the health pillar of 3.75. From the health pillar, there are 3 regencies/cities that have a higher IDSD score, namely Tangerang Regency with a score of 3.85, Tangerang City with a score of 4, and South Tangerang City with a score of 4. Meanwhile, the IDSD score on the skills pillar has a score of 3.44. There were only 3 that had a higher IDSD score, namely Tangerang City with a value of 3.86, Cilegon with a value of 3.53, and South Tangerang City with a value of 3.79. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to improve the quality of human resources in Banten Province by taking into account the factors that affect competitiveness, including education, availability of fields, employment, health, and the investment environment.
