Abstract

SUMMARYThe study aims to determine the type and population of Bactrocera sp. in pepper curls inTomohon. Results are expected to be used as consideration in the preparation of pest controlstrategies Bactrocera sp. in pepper curls in the future akang come. The experiment was conducted incropping chilli curls on three Subdistrict namely Rurukan, Kakaskasen and Wailan. Research wasconducted during ± 3 months, ie April to June 2016. The study used survey methods at severalcenters planting chilli curls in Tomohon, then set the three villages as a location for research or as asampling. Criteria for the study site by the presence of old crop curly chili fruitful. Sampling usingMethod Diagonal slices are laid randomly trap fruit flies in each sub - sampling sites. Sampling wasdone by taking the imago Bactrocera sp. trapped, then the sample was collected in a bottlecontaining pure alcohol. Samples are labeled according to location and time of uptake, then taken tothe Laboratory of Entomology and Pest Plants, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sam Ratulangi.Sampling was performed 5 times with intervals of 6 days. The results showed that there are twotypes and pest populations Bactrocera sp. at various research sites that Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel)and Bactrocera umbrosa (Fabricus) with a total population of 4484 individuals.Key word : Cabai Keriting, Bactrocera sp.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPapaya is a plant widely cultivated in Indonesia. One part of the plant that is oftenconsumed by people is the fruit. In Indonesia recently emerging new pest of papaya plants,the papaya mealybug Paracoccus marginatus. This study aims to determine the populationP. marginatus in thailand papaya fruit varieties and local varieties. The experiment wasconducted in three villages in the district Dimembe North Minahasa regency. Implementationof the study lasted for six months, namely from March to September 2016. This study used asurvey method in three locations that have been defined for the sampling, namely Matungkasvillage, Laikit and Dimembe. Each village selected three planting locations Thailand andlocal papaya varieties. Paerts of plants observed is the fruit. The results showed that thehighest population of mealybug P. marginatus found in papaya varieties Matungkas Thailandvillage, 49,66 grains egg, nymph 557,00 individual, 8,66 imago male individual and femaleimago 138,33 individual. Furthermore, the population in the village Laikit, namely 36,33grains egg, nymph 635,33 individual, 1,00 imago male individual and female imago 40,66individual. The next lowest is in the mralybug population Dimembe with an average of148,66 grains egg, nymph 412,00 individual, the individual 4,66 imago male and femaleimago 58,66 individually, while the local varieties found in the highest population Laikitvillage with an average of 318,66 nymph individual, and female imago 20,33 individual. Thevillage Matungkas second highest with an average of 55,00 grains egg, nymph 214,00individual, 1,00 imago male individual and female imago 40,66 individual. FurthermoreDimembe village which is the lowest population, seen from an egg stadia grains 36,00,214,33 nymph individual, and female imago 38,33 stadia individual.Keyword : Population, Papaya, Paracoccus marginatus.

Abstract

ABSTRACTTomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum) are very important for human health because they contain high nutritional value. Corn is the second most important commodity crop after rice. Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) are economically the legumes are second only to soybeans. Spiders (Araneae) is a biological agent that is extremely potent in controlling insect pests in agricultural ecosystems. This research aims to study and know the population and the differences Pardosa sp. in the three habitat types, namely maize, peanuts and tomatoes.The research was done in Kawangkoan precisely in Kanonang II District West Kawangkoan ranging study was conducted in October-December 2016. At each location the garden area of research at all four corners given purpose tool trap traps for sampling, so that at the three locations the garden area there are four traps trap. So the total to trap traps is 12 pieces are used.Sampling is done once a week. Community composition of spider Pardosa sp. on each of the three types of habitat of agricultural crops that were collected there are 118 birds, which consisted of 39 tail number on average 4.87 maize, 32 head average number 4:00 in peanuts and 49 tail number on average 6:12 p tomato plants.
