Abstract

ABSTRACT Bone Bolango district of Gorontalo province is well developed in agriculture. There are three dams in this province and one of them is Lomaya dam. This dam has not yet used technology of geographic information system for evaluating the efficiency of water distribution in the irrigated area. Therefore the measurement of water discharge and the information of spatial irrigated areas are required. The inflow and outflow discharges were measured in each irrigated channel using a bottle buoy. The result of the research showed that the efficiencies of primary, secondary and tertiary channels were 82,25 %, 78,58 % and 77,99 % respectively. The total efficiency of water distribution of irrigated area in Lomaya was 50,41 %. Geographic information system in these irrigated area of Lomaya served the map of irrigated area. Keywords: Efficiency, Irrigation, Geographic Information System, Dam Lomaya

Abstract

ABSTRACTNorth Sulawesi province known as one of the largest producer of nutmeg crop in Indonesia. North Sulawesi supplies about 75% of the needs of nutmeg world with exports ranging between 1000 to 2000 tons. Processing nutmeg nutmeg syrup is one way of diversification of nutmeg. Small and Medium Industries (SMI) "Sari Fruit" is one nutmeg syrup producers in North Sulawesi, especially in the district of Sitaro. However nutmeg syrup products on the market has not been specified expiration date. One method that can be used in determining the shelf life of foodstuffs is ASLT (Accelerated Shelf Life Testing). The benefits of this research is to increace public knowledge about the processing of nutmeg syrup, and to add nutmeg syrup product competitiveness. The nutmeg syrup stored at a temperature of 30 ° C, 35 ° C and 40 ° C for 12 weeks (90 days). The parameters used to analyze the degradation products are nutmeg syrup, pH. The results showed that the shelf life based on pH nutmeg syrup at normal storage temperature of 30 ° C is 52.48 weeksKey words : nutmeg syrup, ASLT ((Accelerated Shelf Life Testing)

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to obtain information about the problems that occur in irrigation networks at the right part of Talawaan dam and produce a computer application model as an expert system. It is hoped that this expert system application can be useful to provide information about the problems that occur in the irrigation network in Talawaan dam, especially on right Talawaan irrigation networks and can provide solution of the problem through an expert system application that can be accessed by each user. This research was conducted in the Technical Laboratory of Agricultural Faculty of Agriculture Technology Department of UNSRAT and in Talawaan dam, Talawaan Subdistrict, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, and divided into two stages: irrigation network data collection and expert system application development.  Data collection on right Talawaan dam is done by calculating inflow water discharge and outflow water discharge and evaporation on primary, secondary and tertiary channel then documentation on problems that occur on irrigation channel. There is a water loss of 0.187 m3 / sec on the primary channel, 0.213 m3 / sec of water loss in secondary channels, and water loss of 0.074 m3 / sec on tertiary channels. Factors that cause water loss include the problem of damage to irrigation channels, garbage accumulation, illegal water taking, and silting of channels by mud. With this expert system, users can get information on problems that occur on irrigation channels and can consult to find solutions to the problem.  Keywords: Irrigation Network and Expert System
