Abstract

This study is development research, which aims at developing and produce IPA learning tools for SMP based on discovery learning in acidic solution, base and salt. The development model used in research to develop discovery learning based learning tools is the 4-D model by Thiagarajan. The limited test of discovery learning-based learning devices was conducted at SMPN 36 Makassar. The research subject was grade VII IPA with 24 students. Data collection techniques are non-test techniques and test techniques. The results of the study reval that (1) the process of learbing tools development utilizes 4-D model consists of 4 stages, namely (a) defining stage (define), (b) the designing stage (design), (c) the development stage (develop), and (d) the dissemination stage (desseminate). (2) the learning tools are valid, practical and effective. The learning tools are stated as practicial because the learning tools implementation is in entirely implemented category, the teacher’s response on learning tools is in very positive category. The learning tools are effective because it has met effectiveness criteria with the teacher's result in learning management is in very high category, the student’s activity is in learning management is in very good category, the student’s activity is in learning management is in very positive category, the results of students’ critical thinking skills has the average of 85.17 with classical completencess 85.95%, the improvment of critical thinking skills based on the N-gain test of 0.82 with high criteria, the learning outcomes has the average of 84.07 with a classical completeness 85.33%, whereas, the improvement in learning outcomes based on the N-gain test is 0.86 with high criteria.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to discover the influence of learning model and learning motivation on concepts understanding and critical ability of students class XII at SMK Hasanuddin Aviation in Makassar on Colloidal System Subject. This research is quasi experiment research with 2x3 factorial design. The research populations were all the students in class XII at SMK Hasanuddin Aviation in Makassar. The sample was selected by employing random sampling with dependent variables and obtained class XII of Electrical Avionic learned by guided inqury model and class XII Airframe and Powerplant learned by using project based learning. The hypothesis test was conducted by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of this research reveal that: (1) there is influence of guided inquiry model learning and PjbL on students’ concepts understanding; (2) there is influence of guided inquiry model learning and PjBL on critical thinking ability of students; (3) there is influence of high motivation, medium motivation, and low motivation learning on students’ concept understanding; (4) there is influence of high motivation, medium motivation, and low motivation learning on critical thinking ability os students; (5) there is no interaction between learning model and learning motivation on students’ concept understanding; (6) there is no interaction between learning model and learning motivation in influencing critical thinking ability of students.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan seberapa besar hubungan kecerdasan emoisonal, kedisiplinan belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA di Kecamatan Ternate Tengah tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Total populasi penelitian sebanyak 322 peserta didik dengan ukuran sampel sebanyak 181 peserta didik. Teknik penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan disproportionate stratified cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan tes. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan Software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) sebagian besar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA di  Kecamatan Ternate Tengah memiliki kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar pada kategori sangat tinggi, motivasi belajar berada pada kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi, sedangkan hasil belajar berada pada kategori sangat rendah, (2) kecerdasan emosional, kedisiplinan belajar, dan motivasi belajar masing–masing  memiliki hubungan positif dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, (3) terdapat hubungan postif antara kecerdasan emosional dan kedisiplinan belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, serta kedisiplinan belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik, dan (4) terdapat hubungan linear antara kecerdasan emosional, kedisiplinan belajar dan motivasi belajar secara bersama–sama dengan hasil belajar peserta didik.Kata Kunci: kecerdasan emosional, kedisiplinan belajar, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar.ABSTRACTThe study is ex-post factor which aims at discovering the extent of correlation of emotional intelligence, learning discipline, and learning motivation on learning result of Grade XI IPA students at SMA (senior high school) in Ternate Tengah subsdistrict of academic year 2017/2018. The total population was 322 students with 181 samples. Samples were obtained by employing disproportionate stratified cluster random sampling. Data were obtained by employing instruments of questionnaire and test. Data were analyzed by using SPSS software. The result of the study reveal that (1) most of the students of grade XI IPA at SMA in Ternate Tengah subdistrict had emotional intelligence and learning discipline in very high category, learning motivation in high and very high category; whereas, the learning result is in very low category, (2) the emotional intelligence, learning discipline, and learning motivation each had positive correlation with students learning result, (3) there is positive correlation between emotional intelligence and learning discipline; emotional intelligence and learning motivation on learning result; and learning discipline and learning motivation on learning result, (4) there is linear correlation between emotional intelligence, learning discipline, and learning motivation collaboratively on syudents learning result. Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Learning Discipline, Learning Motivation, Learning Achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to designing chemistry learning media, namely chemistry electronic comic to improve the motivation and student learning outcomes on subject metter of chemical bonding and examining the quality of chemistry electronic comic obtained is valid, practical and effective. The development employed referred to Plomp's model which consisted of 3 main phases, namely (1) preliminary research, (2) development or prototyping phase, and (3) assessment phase. The target of this research are students of class X MIA 5 SMAN 14 Makassar with a total of 30 students. The result of the research shows that : (1) the validity of chemistry electronics comic was based on the media experts obtained the mean score 3.87 which was in very valid category, and the material expert namely 3.62 (very valid) category; (2) the practicality was based on: (a) the learning implementation employed chemistry electronics comic obtained 1.76 which was in “fully implemented” category, (b) the teacher's response on chemistry electronics comic obtained 3.77 (practical) , (c) the students' response on chemistry electronics comic obtained 87.6 (strongly responded); (3) the effectiveness was based on: (a) the students' activities obtained 87.16% which had met “excellent” criteria, (b) the students' learning motivation obtained 81.22% (very high), (c) the learning outcomes test obtained the mean score of pretest was 13.67% (low) and the posttest was 80% (high), and the result of N-gain 0.71 (high).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto yang bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan antara literasi sains dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran kimia kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri Se-Kota Makassar tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 1734 peserta didik dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 391 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakan instrumen tes literasi sains dan data prestasi belajar peserta didik berupa nilai rapor mata pelajaran kimia semester genap tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Data penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi sains memiliki hubungan positif dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik dengan tingkat korelasi sedang. Kata kunci  : literasi sains, prestasi belajar.   ABSTRACTThe study is ex-post factor research, which aims to determining the correlation between scientific literacy toward students’ learning achievement on chemistry learning of grade XI MIPA at SMAN (public senior high schools) in Makassar of academic year 2017/2018. The Population of the study were 1734 students and the samples were 391 students obtained by employing proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using instruments of scientific literacy test, and sata of students’ learning achievement was obtained from report score of Chemistry subject of academic year 2017/2018. Data were analyzed by using Pearson correlationanalysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of the study reveal that the scientific literacy has positive correlation toward students’ learning achievement with correlation. Keywords: scientific literacy, learning achievement.

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to develop E-LKPD based on Problem Solving on acid-base titration material to increase students’ motivation and learning outcomes which is valid, practical, and effective to be used. The development model used refers to Addie development model, which consists of several stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The e-LKPD that had been developed had conducted the validation by the validator/expert and trials, it had been revised by the developer to produce a valid, practical, and effective e-LKPD. The results show that the developed e-LKPD: (1) it had validated by the expert of e-LKPD 3.31 with valid criteria. E-LKPD is stated to be practical because the practicality test related to: (1) its implementation in Problem Solving learning model is at an average value of M = 1.91 in the category (1.5 ≤ M ≤ 2.0) which means the aspects and the observed criteria are in fully implemented category; (2) the teacher's response is very positive with a percentage of 100% with very practical criteria; and (3) the students' responses are very positive with a percentage of 92.60% with very practical criteria. E-LKPD also meets the effectiveness criteria with the results: (1) increasing students' learning motivation from 69.84% to 82.73% and (2) the learning outcomes meet the effective criteria with a class completeness percentage of 81.81%.
