Abstract

This research presents the development of an online economic dispatch web application using the lambda iteration method. The proposed method is implemented through a systematic process of problem formulation, optimization method selection, application design, and testing. The web application is created using MATLAB Web Apps and tested using generation data from the IEEE 30 bus system. The results demonstrate that the developed web application operates effectively and fulfills the desired specifications. Users can access the application via web browsers without the need for MATLAB installation on their devices. The study concludes that the developed economic dispatch web application can serve as a valuable tool for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of economic dispatch processes. The application can be further optimized by incorporating more comprehensive and user-friendly features.

Abstract

In mushroom greenhouses at IKM Simbang Maros, watering is currently done manually using a hose and scheduled twice daily, without considering the optimal temperature and humidity for mushroom growth. This study aims to develop an automatic watering system for oyster mushroom cultivation using a DHT22 sensor to monitor temperature and humidity. The system is equipped with a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller and a mist sprayer, triggered by a relay to activate the water pump. An IoT platform using Thingspeak allows farmers to monitor temperature and humidity data in real-time on their smartphones. In a real case study, the device effectively maintained optimal humidity levels for mushroom growth, with the pump activating when humidity was below 85%. Data from 10 observations showed that the pump was active for 7 times. Data processing using R Studio showed the system's ability to stabilize humidity levels. The proposed system could help farmers optimize mushroom growth and reduce the labor required for manual watering.

Abstract

Keamanan rumah merupakan hal yang sangat penting dan selalu diinginkan oleh setiap pemilik rumah. Salah satu permasalahan yang mengancam keamanan pemilik rumah adalah pencurian. Berbagai cara dilakukan seperti menggunakan gembok pintu rumah, namun tetap saja tetap terjadi pencurian karena gembok berhasil dibobol. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi keamanan rumah saat ini semakin berkembang. Hal ini didukung dengan adanya teknologi internet of things. Melalui teknologi ini, pemilik rumah dapat memantau kondisi rumahnya kapan dan di mana saja menggunakan smartphone. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini dirancang sistem monitoring dan alarm keamanan pintu menggunakan platform IoT Antares. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian sistem monitoring kondisi pintu, alat mampu bekerja dengan respon waktu rata-rata 1.6 detik. Adapun hasil pengujian sistem controlling pintu dan alarm, alat mampu bekerja dengan respon waktu rata-rata 2.3 detik.

Abstract

Cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticum) merupakan salah satu tanaman perkebunan utama di Kolaka Utara. Tanaman ini digunakan sebagai bahan baku untuk industri rokok, farmasi, kosmetik, dan rempah-rempah makanan. Namun, sebelum diolah menjadi produk rempah, cengkeh harus dikeringkan terlebih dahulu. Proses pengeringan cengkeh secara konvensional membutuhkan waktu 4-5 hari, bahkan bisa mencapai 6-7 hari jika cuaca tidak mendukung. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini dirancang sebuah alat pengering cengkeh dengan kendali timer otomatis dan solar cell di Kolaka Utara. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat ini dapat mengeringkan cengkeh seberat 1000 gram dalam waktu 4 jam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang sistem kontrol lampu secara wireless dan real time menggunakan internet of things (IoT). Sistem ini terdiri dari perangkat keras berupa microcontroller NodeMCU, relay dan lampu, serta perangkat lunak berupa teknologi IoT berbasis platform Blynk. Pengujian dari sistem ini menggunakan smartphone android, Google Pixel 3a, sebagai perangkat untuk penginstalan aplikasi Blynk IoT platform. Adapun koneksi internet yang digunakan yaitu WiFi indihome dan paket data seluler dari kartu XL. Hasil dari pengujian sistem kontrol lampu berbasis IoT ini kemudian dibandingkan dengan sistem kontrol lampu menggunakan teknologi wireless lain, yaitu bluetooth, LAN dan Telegram. Perbandingan ini meliputi kontrol dari segi jangkauan area, kecepatan akses, dan biaya koneksi perangkat. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa lampu dapat dikontrol secara wireless dan realtime dengan menggunakan teknologi Blynk IoT. Terdapat berbagai keunggulan dengan menggunakan teknologi ini meliputi kontrol dengan jangkauan area tanpa batas selama ada akses internet, kecepatan akses yang realtime, tampilan pengguna yang menarik serta cara penggunaan yang mudah.

Abstract

The DCS SCADA course plays a significant role in the latest curriculum introduced at Politeknik ATI Makassar in 2022. However, the utilization of real plant instrumentation in industrial environments often proves costly. To overcome this cost barrier, this research develops a DCS SCADA module employing an industrial simulation application, namely the virtual plant Factory I/O, with a case study involving Pick and Place XYZ. This scenario entails the placement of boxes onto pallets using a three-axis robotic manipulator. The module utilizes the PLC Siemens S7-1200 as the control device and HMI Excel Link as the supervisory device. To detect the boxes and parts, two retroreflective sensors are employed, with three conveyors facilitating transportation and a robotic pick and place arm moving in three XYZ axes. Through integrated procedural testing, the system's performance evaluation demonstrates a 100% success rate (OK status).
