Abstract

Tourist destinations, particularly in a village, need to attract attention to become magnetite for domestic and foreign tourists. Tebel Village then imaged it as an education and literacy village to authenticate its role as a tourist village. At some points, the village has made reading spots and educational areas. Perversely, due to funding and human resources constraints, not all areas are well designed. The playground area located in front of the river is not well planned. The existing murals are not sustainable and tend to be poorly maintained. One of the attempts to enhance the quality and character of this tourist environment is through a comprehensive design, both from architecture and visual communication design. This community assistance is a design applied to the playground area and gets a good response from society. This project is designated to reinforce the identity of the tourist village in Kampung Bendo, Tebel, as a village that prioritizes elements of literacy and education as a tourist spectacle.

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has become a catalyst for the increasingly widespread use of digital technology, particularly in the tourism industry, which relies on visitors for revenue. Virtual tours and long-distance interactive forms of tourism, such as those found in museums, are examples of the current trend toward digital tourism. Several museums in Indonesia, including the Bandung Geological Museum, have entered the digitalization stage by offering virtual tours and edutainment. This research aims to provide insight into digital transformation in the tourism sector, particularly museums. This study discovered that curators should create websites that use communication strategies related to their collections and focus on visitor profiles.

Abstract

Positive information and feedback for tourists should be provided through the marketing information medium to increase visits to tourist attractions. One of the most important determining factors is the credence of such information obtained by tourists. Tourists can access marketing information through social media, both in the formal and informal communication realms. The information obtained from the medium then forms a mental image that reinforces tourists' perceptions of risk and influences their decision to travel. Considering this, the purpose of this study is to find out the understanding of experts and research regarding the feelings of anxiety of tourists' travel with risk perception marketing information media. In this research, the author uses a qualitative research method using a library approach.

Abstract

An initiative to preserve the Osing cultural practices led to the creation of the Alliance of Indigenous Peoples of the Archipelago (AMAN) Osing. Due to unfavorable circumstances, AMAN Osing experiences revenue instability and must come up with creative solutions to continue performing normal tasks like their traditional school called ‘Pesinauan Isuk’. After observing AMAN Osing's efforts for some time, it has become clear that (1) marketing is still not at its best; (2) there are few ways to promote to the vast community; and (3) there is little room for movement because of Covid-19 and scarce resources. Given the issues AMAN Osing is experiencing, assistance is required to fix these issues. Following a discussion, it was determined which issues needed to be fixed right away. The proper use of public space and recognizing the best promotion tools are the top problems that need to be solved. The product of this mentorship activity is publishing in mass media, which creates modules for all socializing participants to better comprehend the existence of published journals about this activity, design ideas for suitable public locations, and the best promotional channels to use.

Abstract

Background – Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, human travel was severely restricted and reliant on digital technology. Tourism is one of the businesses that has been obliged to adapt to digitalization in order to keep its primary source of income from travelers. The present transition to digital tourism is taking the shape of virtual tours or long-distance interactive tours, such as those seen in museums. To reach more tourists, some museums in Indonesia already entered the digitization stage by offering virtual tours and edutainment. Aim – This study intends to provide emphasis on the advantages and disadvantages of disruptive innovation in the sense of digitization in the tourism industry, particularly museums. Design / Methodology / Approach – An detailed review of existing literature regarding digital technology, disruptive digital innovation, smartphone technology, social media, internet, and mobile applications from the perspective of museum tourism was used. Findings – Digital museums provide a new perspective to enjoy their collections and as a diversification strategy that has the potential to bring in tourists virtually. Curators should develop websites using communication strategies that relate to their collection and focus on their visitor profile. On the other hand, there is a risk that there is a conservative opinion that digitization will reduce the integrity of physical artwork and an unstable digital ecosystem. Conclusion - The digitization and publication of collections online has the potential to enable access to content. It is projected that disruptive innovation in the form of changing the museum's business model will provide financial benefits and become a business diversification that can support the sustainability of the museum itself in the future. Research implication – In the field of management, disruptive innovation in the form of changing the museum's business model will provide financial benefits and become a business diversification that can support the sustainability of the museum itself in the future. In the field of architecture, the preservation of cultural heritage objects through digitization guarantees digital archives and provides wider educational opportunities virtually. Research Limitations – The breadth of coverage regarding the digitization of museums and also the many things that still need to be done in order to implement it perfectly, makes research on digitization will continue to be needed. Future studies can complement and continue to update research results so that museums can also continue to evolve.
