Abstract

Desa Jabung yang berada dalam wilayah Kecamatan Jabung, merupakan desa yang masih terjaga keasriannya hingga saat ini. Mata pencarian masyarakat sebagian besar adalah petani dan peternak. Jumlah peternak sapi perah menempati angka tertinggi dibanding dengan peternak kambing, ayam, dan bebek. Namun peternak sapi perah di Desa Jabung masih belum mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Peternak di Desa Jabung dalam merawat hewan ternaknya masih menggunakan cara konvensional. Pemberian pakan ternak berupa rumput masih diberikan dalam bentuk utuh dan tidak tercacah. Proses pemerahan susu juga masih menggunakan kedua tangan. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk dilakukan edukasi dan pengenalan penggunaan alat kepada peternak sapi perah, agar hasil perahan susu meningkat. Metode pelaksanaan berupa observasi dan bimbingan teknis penggunaan alat perah kepada peternak. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini cukup menggembirakan, pengetahuan peternak pada penggunaan alat dan hasil perahan susu meningkat. Jabung Village, which is located in the Jabung District area, is a village that is still maintained its beauty to this day. People's livelihoods are mainly farmers and ranchers. The number of dairy farmers occupies the highest figure compared to goat, chicken and duck farmers. However, dairy farmers in Jabung Village still have not kept up with the times. Farmers in Jabung Village in caring for their livestock still use conventional methods. Feeding livestock in the form of grass is still given in whole and not chopped form. The milking process also still uses both hands. The purpose of this activity is to educate and introduce the use of tools to dairy farmers, so that milk yields increase. The implementation method is in the form of observation and technical guidance on the use of dairy tools to breeders. The results of this service activity are quite encouraging, farmers' knowledge on the use of tools and milk milking results has increased.

Abstract

The preservation of regional culture through this porridge mask workshop is carried out based on the results of our observations both directly and indirectly in the field, because of the lack of public concern, especially the younger generation to preserve this mask culture. In addition, researchers have also concluded that one of the main problems is the high cost of mask-making materials which causes a decrease in public enthusiasm. Therefore, researchers chose this topic to be explored and observed further so that the workshop on preserving the culture of this region can be carried out. In this service, researchers chose the Bina Daya scheme which is more specifically focused on fostering a culture being developed in the community by targeting students as the younger generation. We aim to use recycled paper that becomes waste as the main material. As a result, students are very enthusiastic to take part in this workshop because they can learn new things related to the innovation of making masks made from paper pulp that are environmentally friendly and have economic value.
