Abstract

There are several abilities that can accommodate students in facing the 21st century, one of which is the ability to think creatively, but based on educational report cards, students' ability to think creatively is low. This study aims to describe a learning model that can stimulate the emergence of creative thinking abilities of elementary school students through the literature study method. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the researchers concluded that increasing the ability to think creatively can be pursued through three types of learning models, including (1) problem-based learning models, (2) discovery-based learning models, and (3) project-based learning models. These learning models include problem-solving, problem-posing, problem-based learning, guided inquiry learning, discovery learning, and project-based learning. This learning model was chosen because it has been proven by many researchers and has syntactic relations and indicators of creative thinking ability

Abstract

Teachers are a very important element and cannot be ignored just like that in the teaching and learning process, because teachers can determine the success or failure of a teaching and learning process. All teachers in any field including Mathematics need to have competencies to maximize teaching and learning activities. These standards and competencies are believed to be encouraged by each country to each teacher, considering how the role of teachers can implicitly impact the progress of each country. Developed countries that are known to have good quality in the field of Education Based on this, researchers wrote a comparative study related to the competence of mathematics teachers, especially elementary schools in Indonesia and in the UK. Researchers use the method of literature study. Both countries have many good competencies that need to be mastered. The form of quality assurance from the UK can be an example for the Indonesian state to prepare students in Indonesia to face the 21st century.

Abstract

Sangat penting bagi siswa sekolah dasar untuk mempelajari kemampuan berpikir kritis, yang merupakan salah satu kemampuan tingkat tinggi yang perlu dilatih. Mencari cara untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis melalui pembelajaran kelas masih jarang dan sulit bagi guru. Hal ini menyulitkan siswa untuk membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis.Model pembelajaran inkuiri merupakan salah satu model yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Model ini menumbuhkan kemampuan tingkat tinggi dengan memberikan pembelajaran dengan mencari tahu sebagai langkah utama yang dapat membuat siswa memecahkan masalah pada topik tertentu serta pengaturan diri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menetapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimental. Sesuai dengan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis yang siswa dapatkan sendiri sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri terbimbing, terdapat sebanyak 16 siswa kategori sedang dan persentase 42%, serta terdapat 22 siswa kategori tinggi dan persentase 58%. Menurut temuan ini, dapat dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing benar-benar membantu dalam pertumbuhan siswa dengan memungkinkan mereka untuk menerapkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka.
