<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan T.A. 2022/2023. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif, jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Quasi Experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Dari populasi tersebut, yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-3 dan kelas VIII-2 yang dianggap memiliki kemampuan kognitif yang sama. Dengan menggunakan teknik Random Sampling maka diperoleh sampel penelitian sebagai kelas eksperimen (VIII-3) dan sebagai kelas kontrol (VIII-2). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Maka berdasarkan hasil hitung pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis menunjukkan bahwa nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,002<0,05 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Berdasarkan perhitungan pada kelas eksperimen kemampuan pemahaman konsep mempunyai nilai rata-rata . Pada kelas kontrol kemampuan pemahaman konsep mempunyai nilai rata-rata . Dengan memperhatikan nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) yang diperoleh maka dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara pendekatan matematika realistic terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan T.A. 2022/2023. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan antar kelas maka dapat disimpulkan pendekatan matematika realistik memberi pengaruh lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan T.A. 2022/2023. Kata Kunci : Pendekatan Matematika Realistik , Kemampuan pemahaman konsep Matematis Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of a realistic mathematical approach on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in the material of the Linear Equation System of Two Variables Class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan T.A. 2022/2023. The research approach used is quantitative, this type of research is Quasi-Experimental Research. The population in the study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan which consisted of 7 classes. From this population, the samples in this study were class VIII-3 and class VIII-2 which were considered to have the same cognitive abilities. By using the random sampling technique, the research sample was obtained as an experimental class (VIII-3) and as a control class (VIII-2). The instruments used are observation and tests. Then, based on the calculation results on the ability to understand mathematical concepts, it shows that the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.002 <0.05 at a significance level of 5%. Based on calculations in the experimental class, the ability to understand concepts has an average value. In the control class, the ability to understand concepts has an average value. By paying attention to the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value obtained, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the realistic mathematical approach on the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in the material of the System of Linear Equations of Two Variables Class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Medan T.A. 2022/2023.
