Abstract

Adanya guru-guru yang mengalami kendala dalam pengelolaan pembelajaran daring karena kurang memahami model-model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru terhadap penerapan Model Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) di era daring dalam upaya meningkatkan self-regulation, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy bagi peserta didik. Adapun jumlah peserta kegiatan pengabdian sebanyak 77 orang yang terdiri atas guru-guru tingkat SMA dan SMK se-Kalimantan Selatan dan mahasiswa FKIP ULM. Kegiatan pengabdian menggunakan aplikasi zoom cloud meeting pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2021. Tahap persiapan dimulai dengan melakukan diskusi dengan guru-guru terkait permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam proses pembelajaran daring, penyusunan panduan dan materi sosialisasi. Tahap pelaksanaan berupa penyampaian materi tentang Model SCT dan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Tahap evaluasi dengan membagikan kuesioner dalam upaya mengukur pemahaman dan antusias peserta terhadap Model SCT. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh adalah guru-guru lebih memahami Model SCT beserta kelebihan dan kekurangannya dalam proses pembelajaran serta antusias untuk menerapkannya di sekolah sebagai usaha untuk meningkatkan self-regulation, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy bagi peserta didik.Some teachers experience problems managing online learning because they do not understand the learning models. This service aims to increase teachers' understanding of applying the Scientific Critical Thinking (SCT) Model in the online era to increase students' self-regulation, critical thinking, and self-efficacy. The number of participants in the community service activity was 77 high school and vocational school teachers from South Kalimantan and ULM FKIP students. Community service activities use the zoom cloud meeting application in October - December 2021. The first step in the planning stage is to discuss with teachers the difficulties of online learning. Next comes the creation of guidelines and outreach materials. Delivering information on the SCT Model and students' critical thinking abilities is part of the implementation step. During the evaluation stage, questionnaires were distributed to participants to gauge their knowledge of and excitement for the SCT Model. The results are that teachers better understand the SCT Model and its advantages and disadvantages in learning. They are enthusiastic about implementing it in schools to increase student self-regulation, critical thinking, and self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the school environment and teacher communication on the competence of economics teachers. The study used quantitative research design approach by using a survey model. The participants in this study were 142 teachers from public and private vocational high schools in Jambi Province and and using the Slovin formula to represent the entire population of 264 teachers. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis, confirmation of theoretical factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The findings in this study the school environment, teacher communication, and teacher competence can understand students by utilizing the principles of student cognitive development so that teachers can understand student personality development and reflect on it in the learning process, helping teachers to have the opportunity to apply material learning theories to daily life activities, and broaden the ideas and thoughts that the teacher has to students so that students understand the learning material provided.  The conclusion in this study is that learning in the school environment, teacher communication, and good teacher competence can increase understanding, interest, make student learning more enjoyable, and direct student learning activities to be more active.
