Abstract

The company engaged in services and information technology solutions is facing issues with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document IT risks. Additionally, there has been system downtime on the local server, resulting in data loss for employee records, financial data, inventory data, and purchase data. An assessment of the company's IT governance capability is conducted using the COBIT 2019 framework, focusing on operational and security areas. The results of the capability assessment for the APO12 process indicate that it has reached level 2, with a target of level 3. The DSS01 process has already achieved level 3, meeting the target capability level, while the DSS02 process has reached level 2 with a target of level 3. This demonstrates a 1-level gap within the APO12 and DSS02 processes. The recommendation provided to the company is to concentrate on risk management, finding a balance between the costs and benefits of managing IT-related risks.

Abstract

Madrasah Aliyah Raudlatul Irfan faces challenges in the learning process as it still adopts conventional models such as lectures and assignments. Consequently, the learning experience becomes monotonous, lacking support for individual students' exploration of their abilities. Changes and increased creativity are necessary to make the learning process more engaging and to facilitate the diversity of learning abilities. The introduction of the Project-Based Learning method is expected to create a more dynamic learning environment, allowing students to develop critical thinking skills. Through projects, students have the opportunity to produce tangible evidence of their mastery of the material, while teachers have improved their skills through training. The training methods involve lectures, Q&A sessions, discussions, and demonstrations, positively impacting teachers' knowledge of Project-Based Learning. Evaluation results indicate an improvement in teachers' abilities, suggesting that this training has successfully enhanced their understanding of this innovative learning model.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance information technology (IT) governance in a financial technology company by focusing on peer-to-peer lending services. The main challenges faced by the company involve a lack of system design details, leading to post-implementation imperfections and negative impacts on business process performance, including unnecessary delays and adjustments. The lack of transparency in system evaluation is also a hindrance caused by incomplete recording of test results. Therefore, this research aims to address these challenges by utilizing the COBIT 2019 framework. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data obtained through interviews and literature studies supported by the COBIT Tool Kit. The analysis is conducted on three main objectives: security management, solution identification, and IT change management, to identify disparities between the current status and desired targets. The analysis results highlight the need for improvements in specific aspects, including the lack of system design details, more precise information in the change process, and deficiencies in recording test results. Recommendations for improvement involve the development of more detailed guidelines for system design, enhanced documentation of changes, and improvements in testing instructions and result reporting. Additionally, recommendations focus on enhancing capabilities through proactive evaluation, refining security plans, developing more adaptive solution acquisition strategies, and improving testing practices. Thus, this research underscores the importance of strategic improvements within the IT and Information Systems governance framework to shape a more effective and transparent operational environment in Financial Technology companies.
