Abstract

Education policy in Indonesia over time has experienced various significant dynamics. The purpose of this change in education policy is none other than to create quality education. This research was conducted in order to fulfill the duties of the Educational Innovation Course, and aims to find out the Policy in Educational Innovation and to train writers to conduct mini research. This research was conducted in order to fulfill the duties of the Educational Innovation Course, and aims to find out the Policy in Educational Innovation and to train writers to conduct mini research. Open schools are a solution for children who are far from the main school due to geographical conditions that are difficult to reach by public transportation, due to economic factors in some communities which are weak so they have to work even though they are still of school age between 13-18 years after graduating from elementary school.

Abstract

The performance management process which consists of planning, monitoring and assessing performance in schools has a crucial role in improving the quality of education. This article aims to analyze the performance management process carried out at SMP Swasta Muhammadiyah 02 Medan Medan. The research method used in this article is qualitative by collecting data through interviews with informants. The results of the interviews conducted showed: 1) Planning includes curriculum development strategies, resources and school policies. 2) Monitoring focuses on evaluating the learning process, classroom management, and student engagement. 3) Meanwhile, performance assessment helps measure student achievement, teaching effectiveness, and achievement of school goals. The synergy of these three aspects creates an adaptive and progressive educational environment. By implementing careful planning, continuous monitoring, and holistic performance assessment, schools can ensure optimal development of student potential, respond to changing educational dynamics, and ensure sustainable learning quality.

Abstract

Technological advances have led humans to create new forms of interacting and socializing, one of which is communication technology innovation in the form of social media. With the rapid development of new media, it has had an impact on communication sites, from just email and chat, to social media or social networks. One of the social media that is currently widely used by gadget users is Instagram. The aim of this research is to find out the role of Instagram social media in social interaction between students in the Islamic Education Management Department of Stambuk 21 and to find out how students at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, North Sumatra State Islamic University behave in using Instagram social media. Researchers used purposive sampling to determine research informants, while data collection techniques used interviews and documentation. The analysis process includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the social media Instagram plays an important role in social interaction between students at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN North Sumatra.
