Abstract

Teacher is one of the determining factors for the success of an education. In this case, teacher is assigned to educate the life of the nation. Many factors affect teacher performance. In this study, researchers focused on aspects of training, motivation, and organizational culture because they are relevant to the problems that exist at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang. This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of training on teacher performance at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang, 2) the effect of motivation on teacher performance at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang, 3) the effect of organizational culture on teacher performance at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang. This research used quantitative research method by involving a population of 32 teachers. The questionnaire was prepared using a Likert scale of 1-5. The method of analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) – Partial Least Square (PLS) through SmartPLS 4 software. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are training did not have a significant effect on teacher performance at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang because the tStatistic value was 0.420 1.96 and P values 0.675 0.05, while motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang with tStatistic value 2.209 1.96 and P Values 0.029 0.05, and organizational culture has a significant effect on teacher performance at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang with tStatistic value 3.008 1.96 and the value of P Values 0.003 0.05. The suggestions that can be given are the school leaders should conduct training of teacher performance, increase and maintain intrinsic and extrinsic motivation so that teacher performance is improved, maintain and improve organizational culture and service to customers, and minimize individualism and seniority among teachers so as not to affect their performance.

Abstract

In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, all forms of technological progress were massively implemented in various aspects of life, including education. Teachers must have skills in media, information, and internet networks, constructed as Digital Literacy skills. This study aims to develop learning media on the material at the elementary school level based on Android application techniques that teachers can use in learning activities. The research covers the stages of developing Android-based learning media using QuickAppNinja (student learning tools include searching for words and guessing pictures), then measuring the teacher's response to the developed application, and how digital literacy skills change in teachers after using the developed learning media. The research method adopts a design and development (D&D) model, including setting objectives, aligned assessments, making flowcharts and storyboards, selecting or creating media, creating interfaces, and integration. The instrument of research was used in the form of a multiple choice test that measures the respondent's digital literacy. Test results from 35 teachers, with an average score of 7.27 out of 10, mean the teacher is sufficiently mastering digital literacy skills.

Abstract

Motivation is important because it affects how productive you are at work. Effective school leaders can boost teacher morale and productivity through mentoring and encouragement. This study investigates how the role of the principal affects teacher performance. The research method uses qualitative descriptive. Data collection using interview, observation, and recording techniques. Data analysis using data reduction techniques. The results showed that the role of the principal as a motivator of teacher performance at SMP Islam Al Azhar 29 BSB Semarang has been quite good. The headmaster strives to improve teacher performance in planning (with reference to IMTAQ). The Principal has performed his duties as a motivator of teacher performance well which includes: managing the physical environment, regulating the work atmosphere, instilling discipline, giving rewards, providing encouragement and providing learning resources through the learning resource center.

Abstract

The existence of scientific journals is fundamental as a place for the publication of scientific articles for academics to show the results of their research work. Along with the development of technology and information, it demands the management of online-based journals for the convenience and transparency of the articles in them. Management of journals with an online system is still not fully understood by academics in several institutions. As one of the universities located not far from UIN Walisongo Semarang, Selamat Sri University (UNISS) Kendal has sufficient resources and according to needs to be a place for community service activities to be carried out with the theme of assisting in the management of online journals based on the Open Journal System (OJS). The purpose of this assistance is to introduce online scientific journal management using the OJS system at UNISS. The method used is lectures and hands-on practice regarding online journal management. The results of this community service activity are knowing information about the availability of infrastructure, articles, Human Resources (HR), and regulations that support the start of managing online journals using OJS. In addition, understanding and awareness of the need to have online journals for the benefit of scientific publications for researchers or academics are also obtained which is the requirement as stated in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
