Abstract

Drugs, Psychotropics, and Other Addictive Substances (NAPZA) are chemicals or drugs that, if ingested, can cause adverse effects on the human body. Drugs are classified as psychoactive substances which are substances that are very influential on the brain so that they can cause changes in behavior, feelings, thoughts, and consciousness The reason for using drugs is based on wanting to try and be tempted by offers or invitations from friends. The use of Narcotics, Psychotropic, and Addictive Substances (NAPZA) in North Sumatra is estimated at around 1.5 million people. The method used in this study is descriptive-analytic with cross-sectional method. The respondents in this study were the total of all visits by Pantai Labu health center patients. This study was conducted to determine the profile of drug use among the people of Pantai Labu District based on patient characteristics during 2022. Of the total 39 patients had a history of drug users. Drug users are mostly male (39%), come from the age group of 26-35 years as many as 18 cases (46.2%), and most drug users have a diagnosis of schizophrenia as many as 17 cases (43.6%).
