Abstract

The trend of working women in Indonesia has increased. In 2017 the participation rate of women workers increased by 39.3%. This study aims to analyze the tendency of women to work in villages and cities, analyze the relationship of women who work with reproductive health, the relationship between marital status and reproductive health and Islamic perspectives on working women. The method used was quantitative, sourced from secondary data on Indonesia's Demographic and Health Data Survey 2017 Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. It was found that the tendency of women to work in villages was higher by 65.5%. The analysis found that the significant correlation between job status and marital status with reproductive health, with p-value of 0.0001 and 0.0001. It is not forbidden in Islam that women work outside the home, but must uphold a woman’s character, her role in her family and dignity. Considering women have a dual role, in the household and as workers, the company should give the right to maintain reproductive health such as menstruation leave, pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Abstract

Labu siam merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk menurunkan tekanan darah tinggi. Dalam prioritas masalah yang ada di kelurahan danau bale yaitu hipertensi, kami dari PBL-DR 14 Labuhan Batu-Labusel mengajak masyarakat untuk melakukan pelatihan pembuatan obat tradisional untuk menurunkan hipertensi yang berbahan dasar labu siam. Target khusus dari pelatihan ini adalah para lansia dan ibu rumah tangga yang dapat mengolah bahan utama yaitu labu siam yang biasanya dijadikan sayuran kini di inovasikan menjadi makanan berupa puding sehat labu siam.  Kalium  mempunyai efek pompa Na-K yaitu kalium dipompa dari cairan ekstra selular ke dalam sel, natrium dipompa keluar ke dalam sel, dan natrium dipompa keluar sehingga kalium dapat menurunkan tekanan darah. Buah labu siam mengandung zat saponin, tannin juga alkaloid dan daun dari labu siam mengandung saponin, polifenol serta flavonoid. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan sosialisasi, Kegiatan pelatihan ini diadakan dengan bersamaan berlangsungnya penyuluhan bahaya hipertensi di Kelurahan Danau Balai. Pengolahan labu siam menggunakan bahan-bahan alami tanpa zat berbahaya ataupun zat pengawet. Puhat Lasi memiliki manfaat yang baik bagi masyarakat pada umumnya dan khususnya penderita hipertensi adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pengolahan puding sehat labu siam (puhat lasi), masyarakat dapat melakukan pengolahan sendiri sehingga dapat meningkatkan Kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is a threat to people in developing countries. Hypertension is also called the silent killer which is the cause of death in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension in North Sumatra Province reaches 6.7% of the population in North Sumatra, based on data from the Ministry of Health's Health Research and Development Agency. This means that the population of North Sumatra suffering from hypertension reaches 12.42 million people spread across several districts (Ministry of Health, 2013). aro Regency is one of the highest numbers of hypertension, following Deli Serdang district. In 2016 the number of hypertensive patients in Karo Regency was 12,608 people, this prevalence was higher in female sex (52%) men (48%), the largest in the age group 55-59 years (Simbolon, 2016). This type of research is descriptive using the quantitative method with a cross sectional approach. Determination of the number of samples by simple random sampling, and obtained a sample of 30 people. Data analysis using univariate analysis to see the frequency distribution of each variable. The results of this study found that, 50% of respondents had high school education, 85% of respondents as housewives, respondents aged between 40-60 years, and 60% of respondents had a family history of hypertension.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 yang sedang dihadapi secara global menyebabkan masalah pada sektor kesehatan, dan sektor lain seperti ekonomi, pertanian, dan sosial masyarakat. Beberapa negara termasuk Indonesia menerapkan kebijakan bekerja dan sekolah dari rumah untuk mencegah peningkatan penularan COVID-19. Kebijakan ini memberikan dampak terhadap kehidupan ekonomi keluarga. Salah satu cara untuk membantu ekonomi dan memenuhi pangan keluarga adalah dengan pengoptimalan sumberdaya yang ada di suatu wilayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tanggapan masyarakat tentang kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan manfaat pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam upaya ketahanan pangan di Kecamatan Bilah Barat, Kabupaten Labuhan Batu selama pandemi COVID-19. Sasaran dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat dan unsur pemerintahan di Kecamatan Bilah Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan action research. Aksi yang dilakukan adalah membagi kelompok masyarakat di 10 desa/kelurahan di Kecamatan Bilah Barat. Setiap kelompok beranggotakan 10 orang, sehingga yang terlibat dalam aksi ada 100 orang. Kelompok diberi bibit sayuran (cabai, tomat, terong) dan pelatihan menanam bibit tersebut, kemudian dimonitoring dengan melihat perkembangan bibit dan dievaluasi dengan melihat hasil produksi, dan menanyakan tanggapan, manfaat dari pemberdayaan yang dilakukan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah masyarakat mengatakan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan pelatihan menanam bibit pohon produktif seperti cabai, tomat dan terong dalam upaya ketahanan pangan di Kecamatan Bilah Barat dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat. Manfaat yang dirasakan masyarakat dibagi 3 kategori, yaitu sangat baik (57%), baik (38%) dan kurang (5%). Tanggapan masyarakat dari pemberdayaan yang dilakukan juga baik (88%). Peneliti menyarankan kepada pemerintah untuk melakukan kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat secara rutin agar memberikan dampak yang baik bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Overweight and obesity are increasing in Indonesia, and these conditions pose a growing threat to people with non-communicable diseases. This study aimed to show the difference in obesity among respondents who consume snacks compared to respondents who have the habit of eating breakfast with three choices to select from: always, sometimes, or never. This comparison was done to analyze the relationship between breakfast habits and snack consumption. This cross-sectional study collected data using a survey on 26 – 27 November 2021. The sample population included the entire academic community of the Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara, Medan. The sample was determined by an accidental sampling technique. Research instruments were used in the form of questionnaires, microtoise and weight scales to measure the anthropometrics of height and weight. Descriptive data analysis used normality tests and because the data were not normally distributed, the Kendall and Kruskal Wallis tests were done. The results of this study indicated that 38 respondents have overweight status (17.9%), 36 respondents (17.0%) obesity I, 18 respondents (8.5%) obesity II, and 26 respondents (12.3%) underweight. There was no significant difference in obesity among respondents who have the habit of eating breakfast always, sometimes, and never, with p-value of 0.793.There was a significant difference in obesity among respondents who have the habit of eating snacks never, sometimes, and always with a p-value of 0.014. Although snacking can sometimes lead to obesity, generally the fatting types of snacks consumed are cakes and fried foods. In conclusion, limiting snack foods such as cakes and fried foods can reduce obesity. It is recommended to replace the consumption of these snacks with fruits and vegetables.

Abstract

Dermatitis is an infection that occurs on the skin which is characterized by red nodules and itching. Fishermen are one of the workers who are most likely to suffer from dermatitis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between the use of APD and the incidence of dermatitis experienced by fishermen due to work. The research method used is a literature review, which is a collection of several daily articles from 2018-2022 using the keywords "The impact of work with eczema on fishermen" and "Use of personal protective equipment by fishermen". Dermatitis is reddened skin and usually an itchy rash, which causes irritation after direct contact with sea water. Fishermen who wear head protective equipment while working are 62.4% and those who do not wear boots are 23.59%

Abstract

An earlier survey of this study found that failure in the manufacture of bread was due to the work load in the work environment so it was aimed at knowing how the workload would affect the bakery fatigue. The method used in research is a quantitative that USES a sectional approach. The study is carried out at the musrem bakery located on market road 3. The population used in this study is all the workers at the musrem bakery. As for the sampling taken done with a total sampling technique. The study USES verification and containment tests with data collecting techniques through primary data as well as secondary data. As for the results of this study, p value of 0.162 with a value of more than 0.05, the test stated that there was no significant impact between the workload on the musrem bakery.

Abstract

Masa remaja seringkali labil dalam hal pemikiran dan prinsip hidup. Tembakau adalah zat sindroma adiktif yang disertai penarikan diri atau ketergantungan, baik secara fisiologis dan psikologis serta menyebabkan gangguan mental dan kualitas. Remaja pada umumnya merokok, ingin mengikuti trend yang ada disekitarnya dan ada beberapa remaja yang merokok hanya karena memiliki banyak teman yang merokok. Penelitian ini tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku remaja tentang rokok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Kuta Limbaru berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini pengambilan sampel secara acak sebanyak 55 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis satu dan dua dimensi dan diuji statistik dengan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memiliki pengetahuan baik 96,3%, sikap positif 56,3% dan sebagian besar remaja tidak merokok 98,1%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku merokok (P>0,005), namun ada hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap remaja dengan perilaku merokok (P<0,005). Sekolah juga diharapkan bekerja sama dengan otoritas kesehatan untuk melaksanakan program kesehatan yang meningkatkan pendidikan tentang bahaya merokok, dan sekolah harus menilai pengetahuan dan sikap merokok kaum remaja.

Abstract

Drugs are substances/drugs obtained through plants or non-plants either synthetically or semi-synthetically. Abuse of Narcotics and Addictive Substances (Drugs) in Indonesia is a very concerning problem, especially for today's young people who continue to be close to Drugs. The purpose of this study was to identify the bond between knowledge and behavior with drug prevention actions in public health students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. This study has a cross sectional design and is quantitative in nature. The research population was 2020 Public Health Study Program Students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. With a population of 450 students, and a sample size of 40 students using the simple random sampling method. With p value = 0.037 (p value 0.05), the results of this study show that there is a relationship between knowledge and prevention of drug use. In addition, attitudes and drug addiction prevention measures are related to a p value of 0.032 (p value of 0.05).

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults. At this time adolescents experience growth and development which is marked by physical and behavioral changes as well as the occurrence of emotional and sexual maturity. Adolescence is also a period that is vulnerable to negative influences, so there are many cases of juvenile delinquency and bad behavior in adolescents, such as smoking, sexuality, alcohol consumption, and drug abuse. Addictive behavior is behavior that causes a person to be in a state of physical or mental dependence on things that cause influence and change in behavior for those who experience it. Addictive behavior involves a loss of self-control over the use of addictive substances so that users repeat the behavior of using these substances and continue to tolerate the effects of these substances so that they need to increase the dose to get a certain experience. . (Pramuditya, in Wahyuni, et al, 2021). Addictive behavior can be experienced by smokers, vape users, alcohol consumers, and drug users. The purpose of this study was to see how the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents towards addictive behavior (cigarettes and drugs) at SMAN 11 Medan are described. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with observational methods and accidental sampling techniques. The population in this study were teenagers or students of SMAN 11 Medan with a sample of 40 respondents. The results of this study indicate that there is good knowledge and attitudes in adolescents towards addictive behavior at SMAN 11 Medan
