<![CDATA[Sungai Barito bermuara pada laut Jawa dan berhubungan langsung dengan ibu kota Kalimantan Selatan yakni kota Banjarmasin. Bagian hulu sungai Barito berada di kaki pegunungan muller perbatasan antara Kalimantan Selatan dan Kalimantan Timur. Penelitian dilakukan di Sub Das Nagara, Sub Das Marabahan dan Sub Das Kuin. Berdasarkan hasil status mutu air menggunakan metode (Storet & IP) menunjukkan kondisi di Das Sungai Negara, Das SUB DAS Marabahan dan Das SUB DAS Kuin menggunakan metode storet total skor yang didapatkan yaitu -24 pada stasiun 2 SUB DAS Marabahan dan -21 pada stasiun 3 SUB DAS Kuin yang artinya mutu air termasuk dalam kelas C kategori cemar sedang, sedangkan tingkat pencemaran Status mutu perairan ke 3 stasiun termasuk dalam kondisi Cemar Ringan dengan nilai IP pada sungai Negara (1,28), Sungai Marabahan (Sampling ke-1 1,37 dan Sampling ke-2 1,00) dan Sungai Kuin (Sampling ke-1 1,30 dan Sampling ke-2 1,24). Jenis ikan yang direkomendasikan untuk kegiatan budidaya sesuai SNI yaitu Ikan Nila (Oreochormis niloticus L), Ikan Mas (Cyprinus carpio L), Ikan Lele (Clarias gariepinus L) dan Ikan Patin (Pangasius hypthalmus S).
