<![CDATA[AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kinerja Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia (KPI) dalam mengawasi kategori program Infotainment yang tidak efektif; 2) faktor penghambat KPI dalam mengawasi kategori program Infotainment tahun 2017-2019. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kinerja KPI dalam mengawasi program Infotainment yang tidak efektif disebabkan oleh: 1) adanya ketidaksesuaian KPI dalam melaksanakan wewenangnya yang sesuai regulasi dan ketentuan, 2) kategori program Infotainment tidak pernah masuk dalam agenda pembinaan, 3) pengenaan peringatan tertulis tidak tepat, 4) pelaksanaan literasi media tidak sejalan dengan amanat undang-undang penyiaran, 5) surat edaran gagal membawa perbaikan kualitas isi siaran, 6) pelaksanaan Sekolah P3SPS tidak konsisten, 7) faktor penghambatnya meliputi: penerapan sanksi bertingkat tidak konsisten, tidak ada regulasi ketentuan masa berlaku sanksi bertingkat, gagal mendefinisikan program siaran dengan ciri yang jelas, gagal berlaku konsisten pada penerbitan surat untuk satu program, adanya verifikasi lanjutan dan proses perumusan keputusan menyebabkan surat sanksi terlambat terbit, kedudukan peringatan tertulis tidak jelas, gagal merumuskan strategi literasi media, surat edaran tidak memiliki konsekuensi, dan masalah komitmen internal KPI yang inkonsisten dalam melaksanakan Sekolah P3SPS.Kata kunci : efektivitas kinerja pengawasan, KPI, infotainment AbstractThis research aims to find out: 1) the performance of Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia (KPI) in supervising Infotainment program category ineffective; 2) the inhibiting factors of Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia in supervising Infotainment program category year 2017-2019. The result of this research is that KPI’s performance in supervising the ineffective Infotainment program is caused by: 1) a mismatch of KPI’s in carrying out their authority in accordance with regulations and provisions, 2) the Infotainment program category was never included in the coaching agenda, 3) the imposition of a written warning is not appropriate, 4) the implementation of media literacy is not in line with the mandate of broadcasting law, 5) the circular letter failed to bring improvement to the quality of broadcast content, 6) the implementation of P3SPS School is inconsistent, 7) inhibiting factors include: the application of multilevel sanctions is inconsistent, there is no regulation regarding the validity period of multilevel sanctions, failed to define broadcast program with clear characteristics, failed to apply consistently on the issuance of letters for one program, the existence of further verification and the decision formulation process causes the sanction letter to be issued late, the position of written warning is not clear, failed to formulate a media literacy strategy, circular letter have no consequences, and the problem of inconsistenct internal KPI commitment in implementing P3SPS School.Keywords : effectiveness of supervision performance, KPI, infotainment]]>
