Abstract

Magelang Regency received malaria elimination certificate in April 2014, however, the epidemic signal was received back in April 2015. Malaria epidemic had occurred for two months and until the end of December, indigenous cases could still be found. The purpose of this study was to find out description of situation regarding malaria, malaria control, and obstacles to malaria control in Magelang Regency. Rapid assessment method was conducted by adopting the methodology in the protocol and methods for malaria situation analysis from WHO (2003) and by using desk review as the reference for the research process in malaria control method in a region with similar condition to Magelang regency. Data collection was performed through interview and observation. This study found that in April 2015, the number of indigenous cases was 2 which was increased to 37 cases in May and the peak prevalence was 56 cases in June. Previously, import cases were found in March. Up until December, malaria cases were dominated by indigenous cases (97%). Village regulation regarding malaria migration surveillance was still not available in most receptive villages. In area which had eliminate malaria, there should be regulation that govern malaria migration surveillance. Therefore, the Regent should advise the village chief through a circulatory letter to form a new regulation regarding malaria migration surveillance in order to reduce outbreak potential.

Abstract

In West Java, the prevalence of Coronary Heart Disease according to age ≥ 15 years is above the national prevalence of 1.6%. The number of cases of ischemic heart disease in Dustira Level II Hospital tends to increase from year to year. This shows that heart disease is a serious disease and needs attention in its prevention efforts. The purpose of this study is to know the most dominant risk determinant that is associated with the incidence of ischemic heart disease in Dustira Level II Hospital in 2017. The type of research used is quantitative with a case control study design. The sample size in the study was 83 cases and 83 controls (1:1). Case: People diagnosed with ischemic heart disease based on the patient's medical record in 2017 at Dustira Hospital. Control: People who have never been diagnosed with ischemic heart disease are based on the patient's medical record in 2017 at Dustira Hospital. Data analysis using bivariate analysis with Chi-square test (α: 0.05 and CI: 95%), and multivariate analysis with logistic regression approach. The results of the bivariate analysis of variables related to the incidence of ischemic heart disease were people who did not work (OR= 2 and ρ= 0.047) and people who had a history of hypertension (OR= 3.29 and ρ= 0,000). Variables that are not related to the incidence of ischemic heart disease are Age> 45 years (OR= 1.49 and ρ= 0.276), gender (OR= 1.60 and ρ= 0.157) and area of residence (OR = 1.25 and ρ= 0.532). The most dominant multivariate variable causing ischemic heart disease was history of hypertension (Exp (B) = 3,215).Keywords: Heart Ischemic Disease, Risk Determinants, Dustira Hospital

Abstract

Background: In West Java the coverage of the IPV vaccine in 2018 was quite low, namely 51.16%. In the City of Cimahi in 2017 there was a target of 10,974 babies with a coverage of 3,063 (27.91%), in 2018 the target was 10,848 coverage 5,707 (52.6%) and in 2019 the target to be achieved was 10,777 babies. In the City of Cimahi until 2019, data, both research results and published survey results, have not been found that can be used as a reference to provide an overview of the results of the implementation of the IPV vaccine. Objective: To find out the coverage of IPV vaccine and the most dominant determinant of the completeness of IPV administration. Method: The study design used was cross-sectional. The sample size in the study was 193 children aged 12-24 months who were selected using cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by means of interview techniques using structured questionnaires and observations. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The number of samples studied was 35 respondents, the sample was selected using total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by interview techniques using structured questionnaires and observations. Data analysis uses the kai-square test. Results: The coverage of IPV provision in the city of Cimahi in 2019 was 73.6%. The significant variables were mothers who worked (PR = 2,140 and ρ = 0.026) and mothers who had low knowledge (PR = 2.881 and ρ = 0.004). The multivariate result of the most dominant variable was maternal knowledge Exp (B) = 2,917. Conclusion: Several reasons for not providing IPV were because they did not know the information, did not have time, IPV was not available, was not allowed by husbands and reasons of trust. Suggestions for the Health Office to prioritize the provision of information related to IPV and optimizing the role of kader in providing education or understanding of IPV

Abstract

This research was conducted from May to July 2020 at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Hazairin, SH Bengkulu for 50 days. The purpose of this study was to determine the stocking density of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) on the growth of Tilapia cultivated in plastic containers using a basic filter. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 experiments and 4 replications in order to obtain 16 experimental units, namely P1 (stocking density 40 fish / m2), P2 (stocking density 50 fish / m2), P3 (stocking density 60 fish / m2), P4 (stocking density 70 fish / m2) with a size of 8 -12 cm. The results showed that stocking density had an effect on growth in absolute length and absolute weight but had no effect on feed conversion, feed efficiency and survival. The best density is in the stocking density of 60 individuals / m2 with a survival rate of 92.0%. By using a basic filter during the research, you can maintain water quality where dissolved oxygen in the water at the beginning of the maintenance of dissolved oxygen is 6.4 (ppm) - 6.8 (ppm) to 6.0 (ppm) - 6.8 (ppm), temperature ranges from 25 oC - 29 oC, and pH ranges from 6.8 – 7.
