Abstract

Shot peening is a surface treatment method at low temperature by shooting steel balls that are continuously adjusted for pressure and speed until plastic deformation is produced. The optimal parameter of the shot peening process was tested with the taguchi distribution. The factors and levels used are processing time, shooting distance and air pressure used in the shot peening process. Observations were made by looking at changes in surface roughness, thickness reduction, hardness levels, wear and changes in the microstructure of ST 45 steel material. The greatest hardness of 240.39 HVN was obtained at 10 minutes, a distance of 10 cm and a pressure of 9 kg / cm². The results of the surface wear test with the smallest value of 0.00039 mm³ / kg.m were obtained at 5 minutes, a distance of 10 cm and a pressure of 7 kg / cm². The results of the microstructure test showed that the change in the grain size of the microstructure of the material became flatter and smaller, the gravity shot peening method improved the mechanical properties of the ST 45 material.

Abstract

Purbalingga mempunyai keunggulan ketersediaan kayu yang tinggi, kondisi tanah yang kebanyakan pegunungan sangat mendukung tumbuhnya kayu keras, hampir setiap desa memiliki jumlah tanaman keras yang melimpah. Beberapa perusahaan kayu lapis dan mebelair juga banyak menginvestasikan dibidang produksi kayu lapis dan barecore di beberapa kawasan di purbalingga. UKM mebelair, kayu lapis dan kusen membutuhkan tenaga kerja yang cukup banyak, tidak membutuhkan pendidikan formal, sehingga terbuka pengentasan tenaga kerja secara umum. UKM pengrajin mebelair dan kusen kayu di Desa Sangkanayu, Kecamatan Mrebet, Kabupaten Purbalingga, membuat model berdasarkan pesanan lokal, tidak mengikuti trend furniture terbaru, memiliki kesulitan pada pembentukan model radius dan lengkung, finishing kurang halus dan waktu yang lama. Kayu dengan lubang dan tidak simetris biasanya tidak digunakan sebagai produk kusen/furnitur, limbah kayu dalam bentuk potongan secara umum tidak dimanfaatkan, padahal volume kayu limbah pada pembentukan mencapai kurang lebih 30% dari bahan baku. UKM mebelair belum memiliki pengetahuan pembentukan kayu dari limbah untuk menjadi produk kerajinan. Disamping itu pengetahuan manajeman usaha, pengelolaan keuangan, dan metode pemasaran produk juga masih rendah hanya menunggu pelanggan, mengakibatkan UKM sulit berkembang, persaingan harga antar UKM. Permasalahan pembentukan dengan menggunakan limbah kayu dan bahan baku dalam bentuk potongan digunakan untuk pembuatan kerajinan. Pembentukan ditingkatkan dengan kemampuan untuk membentuk lengkung menggunakan cutting vertical/bendsaw, untuk percepatan pembelahan menggunakan mesin TTG circle cutting. Teknologi yang diterapkan untuk pemanfaatan limbah kayu akibat kerusakan lobang, tidak lurus, akan diubah menjadi produk bernilai ekonomis tinggi, unik dengan epoxy wood resin. Metode pembentukan produk kusen dan mebelair dari kayu (limbah) akan memberikan alternatif untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah dan pendapatan, keuntungan lainnya penggunaan epoxy juga meningkatkan daya tahan, anti rayap dan bernilai ekonomis tinggi, berpotensi memiliki brand merk yang khas. Untuk penguatan manajemen, UKM dikenalkan administrasi keuangan, dan strategi pemasaran produk secara online. Solusi diatas diharapkan akan meningkatkan daya saing dan produktifitas UKM, desain produk baru dengan memanfaatkan limbah kayu untuk menjadi produk dinding kayu, dan produk epoxy wood resin, akan meningkatkan pendapatan UKM.Kata kunci: epoxy wood resin, wooden wall, circle rotary.AbstractPurbalingga has the advantage of high wood availability, the condition of the land that is mostly mountainous strongly supports the growth of hardwood, almost every village has an abundance of perennials. Several plywood and furniture companies also invested heavily in the production of plywood and barecore in several areas in Purbalingga. Furniture furniture, p lywood and sills need a lot of workforce, do not need formal education, sothere is a general elimination of labor. UKM of furniture and wood frame craftsmen in Sangkanayu Village, Mrebet Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency, make a model based on local orders, do not follow the latest furniture trends, have difficulty in forming radius and curved models, less smooth finishing and long time. Holey and asymmetrical wood is usually not used as a frame / furniture product, wood waste in the form of pieces is generally not utilized, even though the volume of waste wood at the formation reaches approximately 30% of the raw material. Mebelair UKM has no knowledge of wood formation from waste to become handicraft products. Besides that, business management knowledge, financial management, and product marketing methods are also still low, just waiting for customers, which makes it difficult for SMEs to develop, price competition among SMEs. The problem of formation by using wood waste  and raw materials in the form of pieces is used for making crafts. Formation is enhanced by the ability to form curves using vertical cutting/bendsaw, for acceleration of cleavage using circle cutting machine. The technology applied to the utilization of wood waste due to damage to the hole, not straight, will be converted into high economic value products, unique with epoxy wood resin. The method of forming frame and furniture products from wood (waste) will provide an alternative to increase added value and income, other benefits of using epoxy also increase durability, anti termites and high economic value, potentiallyhaving a distinctive brand brand. To strengthen management, SMEs are introduced to financial administration, and online product marketing strategies. The above solution is expected to improve the competitiveness and productivity of SMEs, the design of new products by utilizing wood waste to become wood wall products, and epoxy wood resin products, will increase the income of SMEs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terhadap waktu pendinginan dan temperatur di dalam ruang instalasi uji dengan menggunakan AC split kapasitas ½ PK, dan untuk mengetahui proporsi beban manakah yang menghasilkan laju aliran massa refrigerant, efek refrigerasi, daya kompressor, dan Coefficient of performance yang paling tinggi dari variasi beban lampu. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah lampu 100 watt, 200 watt, 300 watt, 400 watt, 500 watt. Sedangkan variabel terkaitnya adalah putaran tetap pada kompressor, jenis refrigerant 22, dinding ruang instalasi uji terbuat dari triplek. Data hasil pengujian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif dan hasil analisa ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik. Penurunan temperatur didalam ruang instalasi uji menjadi lebih lambat, karena bertambahnya beban pendingin, disebabkan karena beban lampu yang lebih besar akan melepaskan panas yang lebih besar ke udara. Laju aliran massarefrigeranttertinggi pada beban lampu 500 watt yaitu 0,060556 kg/s, dalam waktu 8 menit. Efek refrigerasi tertinggi pada beban lampu 100 watt yaitu 202,702 kJ/kg, dalam waktu 20 menit.Daya kompressor tertinggi pada beban lampu 500 watt yaitu 0,701 Kw dalam waktu 8 menit.Coefficient of performance tertinggi pada beban lampu 300 watt yaitu 18,27979Kw dalam waktu 4 menit. Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Gondang, Kecamatan Karangreja, merupakan salah satu Desa penghasil kopi arabika dan robusta bermutu tinggi di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Produk kopi selama ini belum optimal dikembangkan untuk mencapai produk premium, karena keterbatasan pengetahuan dan teknologi proses. Kopi premium mempunyai nilai jual tinggi pada pasar nasional maupun internasional, baik dalam bentuk green bean, roast bean dan serbuk. Kopi yang dihasilkan di Desa ini bercirikan butir yang besar, bersih dan merata, berpotensi dikembangkan menjadi produk kopi premium. Penerapan teknologi tepat guna (TTG) proses pengolahan kopi premium, dengan melakukan penyuluhan, pelatihan penggunaan TTG, studi banding dan mengundang narasumber pengolah kopi dari UKM yang sudah maju. Mesin pengolah kopi premium yang dibantu kepada kelompok terdiri dari: (1) TTG mesin roaster kapasitas 20 kg/proses, dengan monitoring Internet of Thing (IoT) berbasis android; (2) TTG mesin sachet otomatis dengan variasi berat (30-250 gr); (3) TTG Sealing Continues untuk paking kopi ukuran diatas 500 gr; dan (4) Dry House dilengkapi panel solar sel, untuk stabilisasi suhu dan kelembaban. Selain itu dalam rangka penerapan mesin produksi otomatis, untuk layanan dan monitoring perkembangan kelompok telah dikembangkan Website modern untuk meningkatkan branding produk yang terintegrasi layanan penjualan online. Hasil pemberdayaan kelompok tani ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 11 orang anggota kelompok yang dilatih khusus pengolahan kopi premium, setelah dilakukan post test, diketahui 8 orang (73%) hasil sangat baik, 2 orang (18%) baik, dan 1 orang (9%) cukup. Hasil penerapan TTG menunjukkan 11 orang anggota kelompok Tani Bawono Lestari mampu meningkatkan variasi produk kopi arabika dan robusta masing-masing 3 jenis rasa khas yang diproses untuk dipasarkan pada premium market. Dampak penerapan proses pengolahan kopi premium meningkatkan nilai ekonomis produk sebesar 57%, harga produk kopi roastbean arabika meningkat dari rata-rata per kilogram Rp. 175.000/kg meningkat menjadi Rp. 235.500-250.000/kg, kopi robusta dari Rp. 75.000/kg menjadi Rp 117.000-120.000/kg, peningatan kapasitas produksi kopi olahan sebesar 73%, dari 175 kg/hari menjadi 306,25/hari.Abstract: Gondang Village, Karangreja District, is one of the villages producing high-quality Arabica and Robusta coffee in Purbalingga Regency. Premium coffee has a high selling value in national and international markets, both in the form of green beans, roasted beans, and powder. The coffee produced in this village is characterized by large, clean, and even grain, which has the potential to be developed into premium coffee products. application of appropriate technology for premium coffee processing by conducting counseling, training on the use of appropriate technology, comparative studies, and inviting resource persons from advanced SMEs. The premium coffee processing machines assisted by the group consist of: (1) an appropriate technology roaster machine with a capacity of 20 kg/process, with Android-based Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring; (2) appropriate technology automatic sachet machines with weight variations (30–250 gr); (3) appropriate technology sealing machines for packing coffee sizes above 500 gr; and (4) a dry house equipped with solar cell panels to stabilize temperature and humidity. In addition, in the context of implementing automatic production machines for service and monitoring group developments, a modern website has been developed to improve product branding that is integrated with online sales services. The results of the empowerment of this farmer group showed that out of 11 group members who were specifically trained in premium coffee processing, after the post-test, it was found that 8 people (73%) had very good results, 2 people (18%) had good results, and 1 person (9%) had enough. The results of the application of appropriate technology showed that 11 members of the Bawono Lestari Farmer Group were able to increase the variety of Arabica and Robusta coffee products, each of which had three distinctive flavors and was processed to be marketed at the premium market. The impact of using the premium coffee processing process raises the economic value of the product by 57%, raising the price of Arabica roast bean coffee products from an average of Rp. 175,000 per kilogram to Rp. 235,500 to 250,000 per kilogram and raising the price of robusta coffee from Rp. 75,000 per kilogram to IDR 117,000-120,000 per kilogram, resulting in a 73% increase in processed coffee production capacity from 175 kg per day to 306.25 kg per day.

Abstract

The research objective was investigate the effect of alkali treatment on thermal stability, interfacial shear strength, mechanical properties and waterabsorption in composite of honey pineapple fiber (HPF). HPF was not given and treated by soaking in a mixture of 6% wt sodium hydroxide. Mixing between Unsaturated Polyester (UPRs) and Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) applied the Taguchi test with 5% MCC, 250 RPm, 40 oC temperature, and 30 minutes. The composites were mold using the vacuum infusion method and curing at 60 o C for 120 minutes. Interfacial shear strength test showed 9 hours of immersion, gave strength of 3.49 MPa, an increase of 37.39%.  Tensile strength increased by 30.4%,the flexural strength of the composite increased by 51.08%. The results of the SEM test showed the fiber untreated was still smooth and there were several interface gaps. The water absorption test showed that the untreated fiber had a higher absorption rate.
