Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 13 Magelang selama ini belum menerapkan pembelajaran bervisi konservasi dengan pendekatan scientific skill. Pembelajaran masih menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga kurang aplikatif dan kurang memotivasi siswa dalam belajar Hal ini menyebabkan karakter konservasi siswa belum berkembang dengan baik. Oleh sebab itu perlu dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran biologi bervisi konservasi dengan pendekatan scientific skill melalui pengolahan sampah organik di sekolah dan menguji efektifitas serta kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai konservasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan menganalisis kebutuhan kemudian mengembangkan produk dan diuji validitas, efektivitas, dan kepraktisanya hingga diperoleh produk final. Produk yang dikembangkan adalah perangkat pembelajaran bervisi konservasi  dengan pendekatan scientific skill yang  meliputi silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), bahan ajar, lembar diskusi siswa (LDS), dan lembar penilaian scientific skill. Hasil penelitian berupa perangkat pembelajaran IPA materi lingkungan hidup bervisi konservasi dengan pendekatan scientific skill pada pengolahan sampah organik di sekolah cukup valid, praktis dan efektif untuk diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan rata-rata respon siswa 97,57% atau sangat baik,  rata-rata nilai  scientific skills siswa  3,53 atau baik, hasil  t-test menunjukkan sig = 0,001 = 0,1% < 5 % dan nilai rata-rata  konservasi siswa sebesar 89,43 berada dalam kategori sangat baik.   Science teaching learning at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri  13 Magelang at present has not applied yet the conservation  vision, using scientific skill approaches. Teaching learning process still uses lecturing methods, consequently it is not applicative and motivating students. It also makes student conservation character is not developed yet. Because of the needs, this study was aimed at developing science teaching tools grounded in conservation using scientific skill approaches through student activity ‘making compost’ at schools, and  testing its effectiveness and practicability, in terms of  student conservation values.  The method used is research and development by analyzing needs and then develop products and test their validity, effectiveness, and convenience to the final product obtained. products developed are learning devices visionary approach to conservation with scientific skills include syllabi, lesson plans, teaching materials, sheet student discussions, and scientific skills assessment sheet. The results of the research are: the science learning device of living space in conservational vision using scientific skill approach is valid, practice and effective to apply in teaching learning process. The result of the experiment shows the average of students responses 97. 57% (very good), the average of students scientific skill values 3.53 (good), The result of T-test shows sig = 0.001 = 0.1%< 5% and The average of students conservation values 89.43 in very good category.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di MAN Indramayu belum mengaitkan pada lingkungan sekitar, padahal kondisi sekolah dapat dijadikan pokok bahasan materi pencemaran lingkungan, karena terdapat lingkungan yang rentan terhadap pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pembelajaran dan tugas yang nyata pada lingkungan sekitar, sehingga siswa dapat aktif dan memenuhi ketuntasan hasil belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini menguji keefektivan pembelajaran bervisi SETS melalui praktikum identifikasi bioindikator Sungai Cimanuk terhadap ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dan subjek penelitian adalah kelas X matematika ilmu alam (MIA) sebanyak 88 siswa (tiga kelas). Hasil uji keefektivan diperoleh nilai ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar aspek keterampilan mencapai 93%. Data hasil belajar aspek keterampilan diperoleh nilai rerata 3,48 atau predikat (B+). Hasil ini menunjukkan pembelajaran bervisi SETS melalui praktikum identifikasi bioindikator Sungai Cimanuk efektif terhadap ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan siswa.Learning in MAN Indramayu has not related the material in the surrounding environment yet. In fact, the condition of the school can be set as a subject matter of environmental pollution because there is an environment that is vulnerable toward the environmental pollution. Therefore it needs learning and the real assignment in the surrounding environment, so that the students can be active and achieve the completeness of learning outcomes. The purpose of research is to test the efectiveness by learning SETS-vision through practical bio-indicator identification of Cimanuk River will be effective toward the completeness of learning outcomes of students skills aspects . The method used was experimental and research subjects are grade X math science (MIA) as many as 88 students (three classes). The effectiveness result of learning in getting the classical completeness score of learning outcome of skill aspect reach 93%. Learning outcome of skills aspect gets a mean score of 3.48 or predicate (B+). These results show that learning SETS-vision through practical bio-indicator identification of Cimanuk River effective toward the completeness of learning outcome of students’ skill aspect.

Abstract

One of the efforts to improve the quality and the conservation of local fruits like durian requires characteristic certainty of durian fruits according to the needs of plant breeders and tastes of consumers. Some durian germplasm at Hortimart Agro Center in Central Java have been successfully characterized. There are 43 accessions with 18 characters covering 64 character states of fruit. The dendrogram showed that those 43 accessions split into 2 groups. Durian Kartomarmo separated from the other 42 accessions. Durian Kartosumarmo has a unique characteristic on its fruit, which has an apex with irregular shape (mammiform). Some durians which have good taste, such as durian Bismo, Cokro, Janoko, and Petruk were grouped together with durian Monthong. The coeffient similarity in 43 accessions of the durian fruit is between 0.44-0.86. The diversity of accessions based on the fruit morphology showed that these 43 accessions were different and not a duplicate of different accessions. It shows that each of accession should be categorized as a different cultivar since there are many other characteristics that have not been observed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh strategi brain based learning pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Eka Sakti Semarang. VII Bahasa dan VII Bhinneka dipilih menjadi sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dinyatakan berpengaruh apabila terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa diuji menggunakan uji t. Hasil analisis uji t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifkan yaitu keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi brain based learning pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup berpengaruh lebih baik terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. The study examines the effect of brain based learning strategy on material classification of living things on sudents’ critical thinking. The study adopted non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study included all junior primary Eka Sakti Semarang. VII Bahasa and VII Bhinneka were selected using purposive sampling technique. This study avowed to be influential if there was a significant difference between critical thinking skill of experimental group and control group. Data of students’ critical thinking skill was examined using t test. The result of t test analyis showed that there was a significant difference which critical thinking skill of experimental group better than the control group. The study showed that brain based learning strategy on material classification of living things has positive effect on sudents’ critical thinking skill.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study to describe the effectiveness of school environment utilization as learning resource used post to post method in matter classification of living things on SMP. The method in this study was pre-experimental with one shoot case study design. Population are entire VII class in SMP. The sample were determined by convinience sampling that were class VII A, VII C and VII G. The results showed that classical student’s activity was very active. Discussion and ask question indicators is very active while the indicator answered questions and express opinions included sufficient active. Cognitive learning outcomes from the average student’s worksheet and posttest value showed 96% students reached KKM.  Student’s worksheet value more dominant to determine the final value than the posttest value. Affective learning outcomes (attitude) showed curiosity get the highest percentage while the lowest was communicative. Classification activity showed student’s ability in classification step is very good, while the ability to make conclusions only sufficient criteria. The results of teachers and student’s opinion showed both of them were interest in application of the post to post method. Based on the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the school environment utilization as learning resource used post to post method in matter classification of living things on SMP are effective toward activities and student learning outcomes. Instruments of student’s activity need to be made more specific by classifying the type of student’s questions to avoid incompability of data Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar menggunakan metode post to post pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup di SMP. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental dengan desain one shoot case study. Populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 1 Petanahan. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara convinience sampling yaitu kelas VII A, VII C dan VII G. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa secara klasikal berada pada kriteria sangat aktif. Indikator aktivitas kegiatan diskusi dan intensitas bertanya termasuk sangat aktif, sedangkan indikator menjawab pertanyaan dan mengemukakan pendapat pada kriteria cukup aktif. Hasil belajar kognitif menunjukkan nilai akhir siswa dari rata-rata nilai LKS dan posttest menunjukkan 96% siswa tuntas KKM. Nilai LKS lebih dominan menentukan nilai akhir daripada nilai posttest. Hasil belajar afektif menunjukkan sikap rasa ingin tahu memperoleh persentase tertinggi sedangkan yang terendah adalah komunikatif. Kegiatan klasifikasi menunjukkan kemampuan siswa pada urutan langkah klasifikasi sangat baik, sedangkan kemampuan mengambil kesimpulan hanya pada kriteria cukup baik. Hasil analisis tanggapan menunjukkan guru dan siswa tertarik terhadap penerapan metode post to post. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar menggunakan metode post to post pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup di SMP efektif terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Instrumen aktivitas siswa perlu dibuat lebih spesifik dengan mengelompokkan jenis pertanyaan yang diajukan siswa untuk menghindari ketidaksesuaian data yang diperoleh.

Abstract

Outdoor Learning Process (OLP) strategies which uses classification board to provide convenience and hands-on experience to the students so that learning more meaningful. This research aimed to know effective implementation of OLP on plant classification learning using classification boards in SMA N 1 Jekulo. Design research was a pre experimental study using One shot case study design. Sampling was determined by purposive sampling technique. Samples obtained by the class X1, X2 and X3 were numbered 114 students. Data obtained from student activity, student learning outcomes, the data the teacher and student responses. OLP value of learning activities was obtained from the observation the observer, while the value of mastery of the material derived from plant classification worksheet students and post-test scores. The results showed that the activity of 90% of students included in the category of active and very active. In the classical mastery learning has reached optimum set the standard ≥ 75%. Based on the results of this study concluded that OLP use media effectively learn the classification board applied to the material of plant classification.  Strategi pembelajaran Outdoor Learning Process (OLP) menggunakan papan klasifikasi memberikan kemudahan dan pengalaman langsung pada siswa sehingga pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas penerapan OLP pada pembelajaran klasifikasi tumbuhan menggunakan papan klasifikasi di SMA N 1 Jekulo. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian pre experimental menggunakan rancangan One shot case study. Pengambilan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling.Sampel yang diperoleh yaitu kelas X1, X2 dan X3 yang berjumlah 114 siswa. Data diperoleh dari aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, data tanggapan guru dan tanggapan siswa. Nilai aktivitas pembelajaran OLP diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan observer, sedangkan nilai penguasaan materi klasifikasi tumbuhan diperoleh dari lembar kerja siswa dan skor post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa sebesar 90% termasuk dalam kategori aktif dan sangat aktif. Ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal telah mencapai standar optimal yang ditetapkan yaitu ≥ 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa OLP menggunakan  media belajar papan klasifikasi efektif diterapkan pada materi klasifikasi tumbuhan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas metode field trip di Sungai Kaligarang Semarang terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pengelolaan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre experimental dengan desain one shot case study. Populasi diambil dari siswa kelas VII SMP N 40 Semarang tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas VIIF, VIIG, dan VIIH yang diambil dengan teknik convenience sampling. Data penelitian berupa hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik, data tanggapan siswa dan guru yang dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi dan tes. Data-data tersebut dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ≥ 75% siswa mencapai ketuntasan (nilai ≥ 75) pada hasil belajar kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Jumlah siswa yang tuntas pada hasil belajar kognitif di kelas VIIF sebesar 96,7%, kelas VIIG sebesar 100% dan kelas VIIH sebesar 100%. Pada hasil belajar afektif kelas VIIF sebesar 87%, kelas VIIG sebesar 100% dan kelas VIIH sebesar 81,2%. Pada hasil belajar psikomotorik kelas VIIF sebesar 100%, kelas VIIG sebesar 78,1% dan kelas VIIH sebesar 87,2%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa filed trip di Sungai Kaligarang Semarang dan jalan sekitarnya efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa materi pengelolaan lingkungan. The objective of the research was to analyse effectiveness learning outcome on  environmental management in Semarang Kaligarang River using field trip methods.The method used in this research is a pre-experimental design with one shot case study. The population of this research used all the grade VII studentsat SMPN40Semarangacademic year2014/2015. Samples were gradeVIIF, VIIG, andVIIH students collected by convenience samplingtechnique. Data were obtained from the student worksheet, post test, questionaire studentandteacher. The data was analyzed by descriptive quantitative. The results showed that≥ 75% of student achieved optimal learning outputs (score ≥ 75) in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcome. The number of student that got optimal value on the cognitif outcome amounted to 96,7% in  grade VIIF and amounted 100% in  grade VIIG and VIIH. In affective learning outcome  grade VIIF amounted to 87%,  grade VIIG of 100% and amounted to 81,2% in  grade VIIH. In psychomotor learning outcome amounted to 100% in  grade VIIF, amounted 78,1% in grade VIIG and amounted 87,2% in  grade VIIH.Based on the resultsof this study can be concludedthat thefiledtripinSemarangKaligarangRivereffective on student learning outcomes in environmental management.

Abstract

This research is an action research. The research objective is to improve the management biology laboratory to support user performance and laboratory manager. Research conducted at SMAN 2 Wonogiri Biology laboratory in the second semester of academic year 2011/2012. Laboratory was used for practical activities, but has not been fully utilized because optimal management has not done. Research activity consists of four phases: planning, action, observation and reflection. Indicator of success is the performance of the users and managers of minimal laboratory showed that both criteria are in the range 50-75%. Performance criteria for teachers to get very good but there are still aspects of performance that has not reached 100% performance in preparing the lab for students. Performance of students gained on average very good, but the performance in carrying out practical activities and communicate the results practice obtain results less than 75%. Laboratory manager performance is very good but there are still aspects of performance that has not reached 100% the administrative performance. Improved management of biological laboratories capable of supporting users and managing the performance of SMAN 2Wonogiri Biology laboratory. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan atau action research. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memperbaiki pengelolaan laboratorium Biologi guna menunjang kinerja pengguna dan pengelola laboratorium. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium Biologi SMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2011/2012. Laboratorium sudah digunakan untuk kegiatan praktikum,tetapi belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal karena belum dilakukan pengelolaan yang optimal.Kegiatan penelitian terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Indikator keberhasilan adalah kinerja pengguna dan pengelola laboratorium minimal menunjukkan kriteria baik yaitu berada pada rentang 50-75%. Kinerja guru memperoleh kriteria sangat baik tetapi masih terdapat aspek kinerja yang belum mencapai 100% yaitu kinerja dalam menyiapkan praktikum untuk siswa. Kinerja siswa memperoleh rata-rata sangat baik, tetapi kinerja dalam melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum dan mengkomunikasikan hasil praktikum memperoleh hasil kurang dari 75%. Kinerja pengelola laboratorium sudah sangat baik tetapi masih terdapat aspek kinerja yang belum mencapai 100% yaitu kinerja administratif. Perbaikan pengelolaan laboratorium biologi mampu menunjang kinerja pengguna dan pengelola laboratorium BiologiSMA Negeri 2 Wonogiri.

Abstract

Pembelajaran praktikum berbasis guided inquiry diintegrasikan dengan video memberikan kebebasan kepada siswa dalam menemukan konsepnya sendiri dan memberikan pengalaman langsung pada siswa sehingga proses pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas praktikum berbasis guided inquiry yang diintegrasikan dengan video transpor membran terhadap keterampilan proses sains (KPS) dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian menggunakan Pre Eksperimental design dengan pola One Shot Case Study. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X IPA 1 dan X IPA 2 yang berjumlah 63 siswa. Data KPS siswa diperoleh dari hasil observasi, pemahaman konsep siswa diperoleh dari skor posttest, tanggapan siswa melalui angket, dan tanggapan guru melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS 95% siswa termasuk dalam kriteria baik dan sangat baik sedangkan pemahaman konsep siswa belum mencapai ketuntasan klasikal yang ditetapkan yaitu ≥ 75%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penerapan pembelajaran praktikum berbasis guided inquiry yang diintegrasikan dengan video transpor membran efektif terhadap KPS siswa namun kurang efektif terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi transpor membran karena pelaksanaan penelitian kurang sesuai dengan perencanaan Practical learning based on guided inquiry integrated with video provide freedom to the students to discover their own concepts and direct experience so that learning process more meaningful. This research aimed to analyze the effectiveness implementation learning of practical based on guided inquiry integrated with membrane transport video toward science process skills and concepts understanding of students. This research used Pre Eksperimental design with One Shot Case Study pattern. Sampling was determined by purposive sampling technique. The samples in this research was X Science 1 and X Science 2 which consist of 63 students. The data of science process skills was obtained from observation, the data of concepts understanding was obtained from posttest scores, the data of students responses was obtained from questionnaire, and the data of the teacher responses was obtained from interview. The result shows that the science process skills of 95% students included in good and very good criteria but the concepts understanding of students has not reach minimal set the standard ≥ 75%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the implementation of practical based on guided inquiry integrated with membrane transport learning video is effective in students science process skills but not effective enough to the concepts understanding of students because the research implementation is not appropriate with the plan.
